{character plot} MC Apprentices become kitty-pets

Plot:
This is a meadowclan character plot that will, inevitably, cause some meadowclan drama.
I was planning on making a YOUNG apprentice, one who has only just become one. I want him to have an actual family... preferably a mother or father (or both) and 2 litter siblings (and perhaps older siblings). Poi has already volunteered to make a similarly-aged apprentice friend which would be involved in this, but we could perhaps have 1 more YOUNG apprentice that isn't part of the family.

Basically, my idea was that my apprentice, a playful and slightly overconfident character, decides that he must go help some... threat or something else. He is very close to his siblings and friends and he persuades them to come and help him. They wander away from camp and get lost, and they end up wandering further and further away from camp. Seeing as they are young apprentices and they have little to no hunting skills, they end up starving and cold. Some two-legs find them and they end up being taken back to a two-leg home and becoming kittypets.

Some like this new life, others hate it with a passion. The group is split down the middle, friendships are broken and made. How the cats react individually is up to them, but one thing is for sure, their views will all be unique. Back at camp, the kits' parents are all worried and want to get them back. There is havoc in camp as they search for the apprentices, finding that their potential warriors have been made into kittypets.

How we want to impliment searches and whatever can be up to what happens when we find the apprentices are gone. Perhaps there will be rescue parties to get the cats back, perhaps the cats get back by themselves. One thing is for sure, this will put a dent in the formation of the clans and provide some adequate drama for the clans (with the size they are now).

Roles I will want:
3 littermates:
0 places, Closed
Must be young apprentices. Fur colours and characteristics will be provided when we find parents for them. I plan to make my apprentice a striped ginger with medium length fur.
Definite cats:
Rolo: Playful and over-confident tom, ginger striped with medium fur
Stripes: Stripedpaw, Lazy, curious, open-minded she-cat, ginger stripes
Roscoe: Newtpaw, Shy and timid tom, ginger striped with long fur


2 young apprentice friends:
0 places, closed
Colouring and characteristics may be whatever you want.
Definite character:
Poizuun: Darkpaw, Black and white tom, spitfire and determined
Whiskers: Short-furred female, hot-headed and hasty


1-6 parental characters:
Open
We now have one adoptive parent for the siblings, we have now planned to have the mother as deceased. The mother died when the siblings were just about weaned and were cared for by Crow's Tigertail. You may provide more adoptive parents if you want. You may also provide one or two for Poizuun's character. The same for Whisker's character if she takes one. The more of these there are, the better.
Definite characters:
Crow: Adoptive father for siblings, Tigertail
Slug: Father for Darkpaw, overprotective

Whiskers: Mother possibly. This will need to be either adoptive to the siblings or real for a friend.


Up to 6 older siblings or relatives:
Open
Completely optional. Older kits of the apprentice siblings' parents or uncles or whatever XD

Kittypets, dogs, other roles:
Open
Optional. Kittypets that will help the apprentices or provide a threat for them in or out of the home they go to stay in. Perhaps the apprentices could be injured when they get lost, or there is a dog in their house that they must learn to deal with.

This plot is accepted!

Applying:
It would be useful if you provided a brief physical description and personality. Personality is an absolute must, as I need to work out how the cats might act together, as this plot will not work well if we have cats who are all rambunctious or all want to be kittypets.

My suggestion would be not to plan whether your cat wants to stay a kittypet or not until you have rped them in the house. You may find your cat reacts very differently to how you imagined ^^ The personality your cat has at the beginning may not be what it has at the end, after all, so don't get set on one outcome.

Most of the roles are filled now, however parents and extra characters (kittypets, dogs, threats, etc) will stay open. Do not be afraid to join late The more the merrier!

Accepted characters must:
- Have their bio's in as soon as possible, first draft done at VERY least by 29th May. I extended the deadline. If you want a non-apprentice/family character, it remains open until the plot is over.
- Plan with their cat's family group what their common history will be.
- Participate in the Pre-plot roleplay, which will go on until everyone is confident they know their cats, other cat's and their relationships well enough. I will make this thread when my cat is made.
- Read all my posts on this board XD And give me all relevant cat information so I can update the first post.

As Rolo said a couple of times, I'll be joining this plot as a friend of her apprentice. He'll be a long-haired black and white cat (not sure about naming him, yet). Personality-wise, he's a spitfire that doesn't know how to back down, no matter how big his opponent is.

I would like to make a littermate, if that is alright. He would look something like your cat Rolo, but I'm planning on a more timid, shy personality for the cat.

First of all, good job on a great plot.

I would like to help in anyway-- I'm prefer making a friend for this character, and I haven't decided male or female (most likely female, as I have more male characters this female at the moment.) But if you really, really need a parent character and no one volunteers, I'd be happy to play the part of the mother.

I will allow 2 apprentices to stay maximum.

It's important to consider that this plot is a temporary thing, and that you should be making plans for the long term. Make a cat who you will rp afterwards, not just one for the plot ^^

Please remember that we can have some cats already made in the roles.

Sure.

It would be a girl. I was thinking she'd be very curious and open-minded while in camp, like her littermates. But, the thing about her is that she doesn't like to do much work, she'd much rather bask in the sun and complains when she's asked to do something. She'd be one of those 'Once I've had a feel of it, I love it' kind of cats. It would take her a while to get used to the life of a kittypet but she loves how she's always fed and never has to do any work. I'd make her friendly enough so that she can makes friends easily, too, but she'd still be picky and sort of a stuck-up brat.

Her coloring? Well, I was going to decide once we had found the mother and father, but I was thinking maybe a ginger tabby with cream stripes and green eyes? She'd be small and always would be, she would have narrow triangular ears and a pink or liver colored nose.

This has shaped up better than I could have imagined XD We have a set of siblings with a diverse set of personalities, as well as a friend I can imagine wanting to come along. So I will accept all the siblings and Poizuun's cat. Whiskers, if you want to join as another friend, please provide me with a personality and appearance and hopefully I can work out how the cat will work with the current ones.

Family members
We already have 2 parents (if Slug does join us), which is fantastic ^^ I will accept both of them too. However, these roles will remain open. The more of these we have, the better! Please remember that you do not have to be a direct relative of the kits, and you can literally just be a friend to them if you want to.

How we will proceed:
So yup, let's get the ball rolling. I am going to request that everyone tries to get their character's bios done by 26th May. I would be grateful if these were accepted by then, but try and get a first draft done at very least.

Histories: Keep your character's histories relatively clear until you can make one which matches throughout your respective family. I will put the family groupings for all the cats in the first post and common information when I get it. It will be up to those in the family groups to decide a common history between their cats.

This plot, due to the emotional nature of it, will need a great deal of preparation for it to be effective for all of us. For this reason, I would like to have a pre-plot roleplay in Main to prepare the relationships and to establish bonds between the characters. I will make a thread as soon as my own character is made for all the apprentices and parents to roleplay on. I know people will want to get started as quickly as possible, but we can't possibly have siblings that don't know eachother properly on an emotional journey XD

In the Pre-plot roleplay, I urge people to:

- Get to know their own characters
- Learn the quirks of other characters
- Set up the relationships (this is particularly important for the siblings and for the parents with their respective kits)
- Try to realise your bond with every character, even ones that don't particularly mean much to your character. Remember, not all the apprentices will neccessarily like eachother XD

Got it.

I've decided on making a female and she'll be aggressive, always trying to prove that she is just "one of the guys" as she grew up with all male siblings. She's fiercely independent and will try to lead the way, often making stupid mistakes as she doesn't always look where she's putting those paws of hers. She's cheeky and rough around the edges, but of course, there is a softer personality she hides, one that only comes out if someone is hurt. She'll react horribly to the kittypet life and make endless trouble for the two-legs, constantly trying to escape. She's a cat who needs space to run around.

As for looks, I plan to make her a average-sized, short-furred white cat. I don't really know her eye color yet... I'm thinking of picking one of those cats with one blue eye and one brown eye, and making her half-blind, but as that might be troublesome, my back-up will be an eggy yellow color. Her name? Dawnpaw.
