First off, my pictures of Colorado are here. Please forgive me for some of the tourist pictures like all the mountains and the Royal Gorge Bridge. Now, here's also some other information regarding terrain, flora and fauna of Colorado.
Colorado's terrain varies in certain parts. It can go from tall mountains like Pike's Peak(which stands at over 14,000 feet) to flat plains and meadows. It has tall grassy hills, and and gorse and brambles.
Most of the trees around Colorado are coniferous; meaning they're evergreens. Most common are Pines, Firs, Spruces and Cedars. There are some deciduous trees like Oaks, Quaking Aspens and Maples. Around the the often common streams and lakes are Birches and Willows. Wild flowers like Indian Paintbrush, wild forms of Lillies, violets, etc., wild grasses like Buffalo Grass and Wild Sedge. There are also tons of shrubs, and many wild berries, such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and elderberries; all of which which are edible.
Colorado has three types of squirrels; red, grey and black. Big Horned Sheep inhabit the mountains along with Mule Deer, Black Bears, Elk and Mountain Lions(also known as Pumas or Cougars). There are even Chipmunks, Coyotes, Antelope, Rabbits, Gophers and Buffalo.
Birds are even aplenty. Chickadees, Sparrows, Blue Jays, Blue Birds, and Finches are in the trees. Different ducks also live around here, with geese as well. Of course, there are predator birds; Magpies, Crows, Ravens, Falcons, Hawks, Eagles, Buzzards and Owls all live in rock crags and high up in the trees.
I'll put plants and animal pictures next.
