i always end up doing suggestions e.e; but i has ideas c:

uno; a news crew, of like, 2 or 3 members, that do like a weekly/fortnight update thread commenting on the goings on and pointing out anything important. this is a. informative b. fun and c. helps if someone goes away then comes back having no idea wtf happens. the people on the team can be chosen, auditioned for or w/e.

dos; with the rankings thing, i think we should put like, time limits, cause otherwise they go on forever and the applicants pile up and yeah xD

tres; awards, like once a year for stuff, i've loved this idea ever since it was implemented on a site i used to be one called the warriors saga. basically it begins with nominations, then polls are opened for categories and about a month later they close and people get little award-graphic-things that say like "friendliest member" "best roleplayer" etc. which have first, second and third place things.

whatevernumberfouris; karma buyables. i recommend things like personal title, name colour, multi name colour etc. the name colour is a code (which i can provide if we go with it) where the person selects their colour(s) and then their name appears like zet. or open up other things to the said persons, like prophecy

five; earning karma; other than by roleplaying, as we already have implemented, here has some great and productive ways, though they have karma implemented as moles, which are their version of proboards "Money"; click

six; okay this is basically four, but is a complete list of ideas which i totally stole from tictoc found c: these would be limited, so that like, there isn't crazy amounts of people using zem;

+win button usable ONCE for IC fighting
+the medicine cure; cures any disease from your cat IC
+full-bellies; gives your clan full fresh kill for one moon, great for tough leaf-bare times
+violet eyes
+cat limit +1; you can now have one more cat above the limited number of cats
+reservation; reserves one of the other karma rewards, so it'll always be here for you until you get the right amount of karma - aka nobody can nick it while you're gaining karma
+your cat can now permanently (or temporarily, price changes) receive prophetic dreams and omens
+dreamwalker; enter the dreams of other cats with this reward and interact with them, permanent and temporary versions
+visions, kinda self explanitory
+you can now create and roleplay one non-feline animal, be it a mountain lion, fox, badger, elk, whatever.
+gift of tongues (various); now you can talk and understand the language of the specific animal tongue which you gain
+twoleg-play, you can now play a twoleg
+mutation - allows physical mutations which are otherwise extremely rare and/or disallowed
+lifesaving, be able to bring your cat back when they really should've died. works like having two lives (similar to leader's nine).
+interclan relationship
+forbidden love (i.e. medicine cat, leader romances)
+large litter; having above four kits (as a feral) is almost unheard of, but have more than you could ever wish for (have a maximum, say 8 or 7?)
+the hat; the admin puts all the other karma rewards into a hat and pulls out one at random - you may get something completely rubbish or absolutely amazing.

When there's a time limit people are rushed. And when people are rushed it doesn't look as good.
I'm also liking the award thing. x3

Now we've already worked out a karma thing. We don't really want to turn it into a shop, but rather a "you have this much karma so in return you can have this" thing. I like the custom titles and colorful names idea, simple things like that could work. A few other basic things could work too, but we dun wanna make it all 'OMG KARMA!!!11 I WANNA BUY A FORBIDDEN LUVES FOR MAH KITTEH LOL.'

Righty, I'll give my opinions on this matter:

One: I'd already said to Crow that I was gonna do one of those... for both in character and outside character news XD But I hadn't told anyone but Crow about it, and I hadn't had time to make one XD So that one's covered already. However, though I would like to be able to oversee it, I will need reporters and contributions to make sure all the news is covered.

Two: The problem with time-limits are that, as Crow said, people are rushed. There is also a problem in that we may not get a second application in the time limit, so are forced to choose the one application. Anyway, the only role that really needs an rper quickly is Leader... and it's usually pretty obvious whose gonna be leader XD

Three: Love the idea, I should think we'll be implimenting it.

Everything on Karma: I'm not a fan of karma shops XD The admins agreed that we wouldn't have a 'shop', but the thing Crow described (whatever it is XD).

The thing is with Karma is that I don't want it to become some kind of competition. I like to give it as a reward, sure, but if it is proclaimed as an 'aim' too much then people sorta switch their aim from having a good rp to just earning karma. FoF, I feel, doesn't really need a set of set rewards to work.

But anyway, the things about gaining special abilities for your cats wouldn't really work under our current system. XD As you can see from our plot pages, and what we classify as a plot, we control what happens in each clan very carefully to make sure that the overall rp remains relatively realistic (e.g there aren't too many forbidden loves or cats with special abilities.). If we were to offer plots for a price, meaning that we didn't have to 'accept it', it might overthrow the balance of things for us XD I've seen this kinda thing work very well on other sites, however we seem to place a high emphasis on the whole of the clan and forest, so having plots so easily available would make things harder to monitor and fit into the entire scheme of things.

As for the custom titles and names and stuff, I'm fine with the custom titles... but I kinda have a pet hate for multi-coloured names XD I'd rather keep from having multi-coloured names here.

c: thanks for the feedback guys, I ttly understand about the shop idea naying, it's not for everyone [: the timelimit idea could be for like, a few months, so it's not rushed but idk, i just had an image of things like applications going on forever and as that forever goes on, people join and it becomes tougher competition etc. and then it gets kinda hectic from there, it's not really an issue atm though, so i understand c: anywho look forward to seein' the news thing, if rolo's still going through with it that'd be awesome, as for the reporters thing maybe you can have people submitting articles monthly (or weekly, whichever) like a competition sorta thing |D
