Name | Yellowclaw
Gender | tom
Age |46
Rank |Deputy
Clan |Fog
Parents |His mother was a rogue named Sooty, who Yellowclaw only knew in his first couple of moons, and never remembered.(NP). His father is Brackenpelt, who looks very much like Yellowclaw and is now a FogClan elder(PC).
Siblings |Bluestorm(NP), Hawktail(NP, deceased)
Other Kin |Yellowclaw has many cousins, none of which are at all close to him, and are either dead or in other clans. Some interesting relatives are Reedpaw(PC), one of Bluestorm's kits, and a mysterious loner from Twolegplace known as Muffin, said to be one of his cousins form his mother's side.
Beliefs |Yellowclaw believes that StarClan keeps the peace and order in the clans. Without StarClan, Life in the forest would probably go on, but descend into ever-deeper realms of chaos and misery. StarClan is what keeps all the clans together. He believes PineClan is not necessarily evil, but that the Clan way of life is not for them.
Mate |not yet. He never had a mate, as he was not trusted by almost anyone in his early life in ForestClan.
Crush |not yet. He never had one for the same reason.
Kits |not yet. He never had a chance to have any.
Apprentice/Mentor | not yet. He will probably get one soon.
Appearance |Yellowclaw is a muscular and heavily built cat. Almost anyone can tell he is the kind to be feared in battle, and kits and young apprentices fear him slightly as well. He has a yellow-brown tabby coat, the colour ow straw, with grey-black paws and tail. He is somewhat longer-furred than average. Most of the time he is seen with a very serious expression looking straight ahead, his tail slightly above horizontal. This can be just a bit frightening to very young cats. Yellowclaw's eyes are pure dark brown, and rarely betray his true emotions, however wild they may be. When seen in bright sunlight, his fur often looks brilliant yellow, which is where he gets his name from. In the early morning fog, however, he can be difficult to spot moving through the plants. His belly is a light ginger colour.
Personality |Most obviously about Yellowclaw's personality, is that his true personality is often masked by a very serious and slightly foreboding cover. He is serious only because many seasons of hardship before he came to the forest gave him great loyalty, patience, and courage. He is incredibly fiercely loyal to his clan, his friends, and what he believes is right, to such a degree that he would happily lay down his life for any of those things. Despite his serious nature, He is merciful and forgiving, and would never hurt the innocent. He is truly a gentle cat, but young cats fear him. He lives for his clan firstly and foremost, and will do almost anything to protect it. He is deeply trusted in his new clan, but not so at all in the old ForestClan. Horrible memories from several moons ago make him growl at the tiniest mention of ForestClan. He has succeeded in making a new life for himself in FogClan, and thinks StarClan and the warrior code should be seen as something to help protect the innocent and keep peace, not as something that overly restricts cats' opportunity. He also feels that he must not rest until all duties have been done and he has reached his "goal" for the day, although he sometimes has short breaks between tasks. Finally, he is always fair in a way that, if something goes wrong in a situation in which he is present, he will almost always take the blame for it, usually genuinely when he believed he was responsible, but also occasionally in other times just to prevent an argument breaking out.
Skills |Yellowclaw is not the most agile cat in the world, but has many other useful skills. He is not perfect at hunting, but is great at both tracking and sensing danger, giving cats longer to run from or prepare for danger. He is also highly skilled in battle, being able to easily sense enemies around him. He probably could climb trees, but since he is not as agile as many of the younger warriors it would be difficult and it would be dangerous for Yellowclaw to hunt up there, but he could still keep watch using one. Due to his body shape and training, he is also somewhat stronger than average.
History |Yellowclaw was one of the original cats to travel from ForestClan. His siblings and his father travelled in the same group with him.
Right from the beginning he hated life in ForestClan. Firstly he hated how badly medicine cats were treated. They should be honoured as cats who speak with StarClan ! It seemed to him that either nobody but his siblings agreed with him, or the entire clan just wanted him to keep his mouth shut, for his sake.
Eventually, he spoke out, saying how it was so unfair that an innocent cat which had never done anything wrong should be treated this way. Hawktail, his highly assertive brother, joined him.
From that day on, nobody in ForestClan seemed to trust him. When the clan split up and left to find a new home, he was one of the first to want to leave. Hawktail died early on in the journey, and he never forgave himself for it, because he believed it happened because he was being careless. However, the group of cats he traveled with seemed to admire him. It turned out all the cats that went had had similar feelings about life, but were too scared of what the leader might do to them, and what would happen after.
He proceeded through mountains and harsh terrain. Finally, nine or ten moons later, they came across a great land which was everything they were looking for. Many rogues and loners welcomed them, and that is how he came to be in the forest. The clans started up, and he joined FogClan and rapidly gained the other cats' respect.
Role Play Example |
Yellowclaw strode up to the two apprentices. "Frostpaw, Snowpaw! What are you doing here?!", he asked. "You're wasting time. Both of you have supposed to have gone on patrols!"
Seeing as he was getting nowhere with the two bothersome apprentices, he turned back. These two apprentices never listened to him, although they were obviously a tiny bit frightened of him. They always thought they could do whatever they wanted.
He then retreated to the warriors' den for a while to think about who he would send on the sunset patrol, although it was not long past sunhigh.
