Ever since he was a kit and learning from the elders and his mother the many stories of StarClan, Leopardclaw's faith in his warrior ancestors has been strong. Some think that his belief in StarClan is unchangeable; as far as he knows, he will always look to the stars.

Appearance |
To begin with, Leopardclaw has a large and slightly bulky frame with powerful shoulders. His tail is long, his ears are slightly above average sized and his paws are quite large. Whiskers are long and silky white.
Leopardclaw's fur colour is a strong golden, but as the colour goes down his body it fades into a slightly light brown colour, until at last his tail tip is a grey-silver. The fur around his muzzle lightens into a snowy white colour.
Specific markings on this tom's pelt are the many black spots and thin, occasional stripes on his flank. Each of his legs are covered in stripes and his tail is also striped, ending with a black tip. He also has a few short but thick stripes on his face. Finally, both of Leopardclaw's eyes are a penetrating green colour with a few lighter tints.

Usually Leopardclaw is a calm and confident tom, compassionate and thoughtful toward his Clanmates. Sometimes -- but rarely -- he takes things into deep consideration and thinks hard about his decisions. He has a soft spot for kits and young apprentices and is usually respectful of each of his Clanmates.
However, this tom has a very short temper - just one wrong word or action can snap his patience. He can lash out sometimes when he does not intend to and can be very impatient with others. Leopardclaw is the one who holds a grudge for a long time; the one who often makes the first challenge. He is easily suspicious -- which can be a bad thing -- and too quick to assume bad things.
Although the fierce side of Leopardclaw can be unleashed at any unpredictable moment, he is ferociously loyal to StreamClan and StreamClan only. Leopardclaw's faith will remain in StarClan forever.

Skills |
Being the large tom he is, Leopardclaw takes a natural skill in fighting. He is proud of it, too. Also he believes he is quite the strong swimmer; this can be surprising to others because his kind of build is not often one for swimming.

History |
Kithood: As a kit, Leopardkit was bouncy and lively. He grew up in ForestClan with his kin. His personality hadn't developed yet, of course, so like all kits he was mischevious and too curious. He spent a lot of his time with his sister Bluekit and listening to the elder's stories. One significant moment in Leopardclaw's kithood was his father Cedarfang's death; the senior warrior had been killed by a badger. But, still being only three moons old then, Leopardkit couldn't feel much grief and soon got over it.

Apprenticeship: Leopardpaw was a good listener and still mischevious as an apprentice. He was lively and easily excited but he usually listened to his mentor -- he loved to learn new things. But as he grew and slowly matured, he and his sister Bluepaw began to move apart as their interests changed. Bluepaw took a liking in hunting, for she had a natural talent in it; meanwhile Leopardpaw was obviously born for fighting. He loved to battle train with his mentor and he stopped spending a lot of time with his sister. But then an outbreak of whitecough struck the Clan; unfortunately, Bluepaw was among those unlucky ones who caught it. Leopardpaw spent a long time with her, suddenly wondering what he would do without her, but the whitecough turned to greencough and she died.

Warrior-hood: Like any other cat Leopardclaw was surprised when he became a warrior. Even though he wished Bluepaw had been with him, he was proud of himself; his mother and mentor were, too. By now Goldenwhisker (his mother) had retired to the elders; soon she died of old age. But Leopardclaw managed to move on; the time came when Ravenstar (deputy then) decided to leave, taking with him half the Clan. Reluctantly but agreeing that Brownstar's ways were wrong, Leopardclaw followed and became a member of StreamClan -- and he still serves StreamClan as the loyal and dedicated warrior he is, with all of his belief and faith in StarClan still strong. Every night when he looks to the stars he says that the three brightest are his mother, father and sister, forever watching over him.
