Appearance | Gingernose is a classic ginger tabby. The intensity of ginger varies around her pelt, from a sandy hue to the deep orange-red of a squirrel. Her thin, long legs have deep ginger stripes wrapping around them, along with her medium-length, fragile tail. At the end of her tail is a sandy colored spot, much like the color of her thin belly fur that crawls up towards her spine. Stripes are not visible on her back - instead, hues of ginger mash together in blotches and swirls. Her chest, however, has vibrant red stripes that are much like the thick rings on her tail.
As for her head, Gingernose has the faint tabby "M" sitting in the middle of her forehead, surrounded by even fainter orange stripes. The majority of her tiny head is a lighter ginger, besides the occasional strip of deep orange known as stripes that wrap around the frame of her skull. Gingernose has thin white whiskers that cascade down her face from her bright pink nose. Her eyes are a pale green, turning a light brown by the pupil. She is a lithe, small she-cat, with a small build and not much muscle on her bones.
Personality | Gingernose -- sensitive, playful, care-free. Three traits that take over Gingernose's complicated personality.
First off, she is very playful. Gingernose enjoys fooling around with the clan's kits and playing games with her fellow warriors. She rarely takes things seriously, finding a joke in everything. One will commonly find her with a smile on her face, laughing and enjoying her surroundings. Though she loves being a warrior, she sometimes annoys her clanmates with her care-free attitude and constant failing at understanding important issues in the clan. Gingernose would much rather run or play games with apprentices and kits than be serious about stolen pray or border mishaps.
One could, in a way, say Gingernose is an ADHD feline. She is always distracted, but she does not mind...until another cat points it out. This is where the sensitive part kicks in. She fervently dislikes when others point out her flaws, which she has many of. When this happens, Gingernose gets rude, flagrantly mean, and lashes out. She is quite the self-concious cat, and alsways sticks up for herself whether the cat insulting her was serious or joking. When she's not mad at half the clan for poking fun at her, she's a sweet, outgoing she-cat with loads of energy and a sweet spot for a good time.
Skills | Gingernose's most obvious skill is tracking. She can track a vole a mile away if she wanted. Of course, that is stretching the truth a bit, but she is nevertheless an excellent tracker. Her tracking skills also help her in the field of hunting, where she is quite decent. Fighting, however, does not seem to come to her well. Sure, she knows how to fight, but Gingernose's small frame and fragile bones do not cope well with battles.
History | Gingerkit was born on the trip to the new territory to her mother and father. It was nearing the end of leaf-bare, and she was the only kit. Her mother, Firewhisker, became extremely weak after the birth of her daughter and could not carry on. Only a moon after Gingerkit's arrival, Firewhisker passed away. Though she and her father were full of grief, they knew they must continue on for the sake of their own lives.
Gingerkit later became Gingerpaw, her father as her mentor as the pair traveled alongside Cedarstar in the quest for a new home. One night, however, a pair of badgers attacked the slowly decreasing group of cats. Her father helped fight back, getting severly wounded to the point where he could not move on with the rest of the group.
"Go on, Gingerpaw. You will live. Follow your clanmates to your new home. Your mother and I will always be with you. We believe in you."
Gingerpaw regretfully left her father, continuing on the journey with Cedarstar, knowing her father was soon to pass away. After a few more moons of learning, Gingerpaw became Gingernose, and she and the others finally arrived at their new home. Being detached from her only family, all she had was the belief that her parents were with her in StarClan. Gingernose joined FogClan to keep her ties with her family as close as they can be. She needed her faith in StarClan to stay intact, and the best place to keep this bond was in the new clan, FogClan.
