Here are some of my haiku's I've written. :D Enjoy.
Spring;;[/blockquote][/font]
[Sunlight, through the trees.
I lie down in the cold grass.
And soak up it's warmth.
Mist swirls around me,
Billowing with every breath.
As sun turns to rain.
I scurry, cold, wet.
The once tranquil winds pick up,
Whispering to me.
I slink through the grass,
My boots squelching silently,
Listening for doves.]
The Hummingbird;;
[Between he flowers,
Blossoming in the sun,
The hummingbirds fly.
Red, green, purple, blue.
Their sweet melodies, soothing.
Humming softly.
I watch with calm eyes,
As they fly from flower to flower.
Songs filling the air.
I shift cautiously,
As it flies away from me.
I sigh in defeat.]
Drawing;;
[My pencil in hand,
And pale paper on my desk,
I softly draw shapes.
They start to take form,
My imagination wild.
Wings, stars, hearts, scribbles.
Black blobs splotch the page,
From where I scribbled over.
Little moons and stars.
Flowers and fairies,
Seemingly oblivious,
To filling the page.]
Fireflies;;
[I stand in a field,
Little lights bob everywhere.
Fireflies, like stars.
They dance quietly,
With a natural rhythm,
Among the flowers.
Light emanating,
Like tiny little lanterns,
Free, amidst the night.
They skip happily,
So much like little children.
I smile, happy.]
Cold Autumn Night;;
[Crisp, red, autumn leaves.
A sunset, filled with orange,
Night drives it to fade.
Long strands of color,
Dissolve into the darkness,
Is not forgotten.
Inside, the wood stove.
Flames dance, lapping at the wood.
The warmth is cherished.
Stars glow, signaling
The night, as if to begin.
The cats purr softly.
Comfortably happy,
They both drown out the silence,
With their content song,
They all flex their claws,
As if to beckon comfort.
Supportive creatures.
Contently staring,
They bob their heads lazily,
Welcoming a nap.]
That last one I made for my Dad. C:
