I noticed there isn't a board for the poets.
So I made this one, you can post your poems here.
No copying.
Whatsoever.
Here are mine.
Iceclaw
White wings,
White scales,
Flash through the sky.
Twisting,
Turning,
Sparkling as she flies.
She roars,
She claws,
Blue fire bursts out.
Against those,
Who cower,
Who run from the fight.
Shadows
The shadows can whisper,
But no more than that.
And if we ignore them,
We’ll stay on our path.
But if we listen,
To only one word,
We may find ourselves,
Destroyed by the Sword.
If we obey them,
And walk by their laws,
We will be devoured,
By the Devil’s foul jaws.
The whispers of darkness,
Destroy every heart
But if we don’t listen
The shadows depart
If the shadows could hear us
Or our resolution could see
Fear would come upon them
And they would all flee.
Our minds need a barrier.
Our hearts need a fence.
Or our mouths could simply say,
“Away! Get thee hence!”
The shadows can whisper
But no more than that.
And if we ignore them,
We’ll stay on our path.
When?
Fire and Shadow
Darkness and light
Flash through the sky on this horrible night
The shouts and the screams
And the booms and the bangs
Shows we are never safe from danger’s cruel fangs
As the night
Draws to an end
The enemies rage, the soldiers defend.
But the soldiers still fight
They don’t even pause
They know they are fighting for the most worthy cause.
The enemy flees
The soldiers pursue
Keeping our land safe for me and for you.
The soldiers return
Their homes safe and sound
And are greeted by their families, happy, and proud.
The country rejoices
The world seems so right.
And so long ago, was the dark, fiery night.
The soldiers only ask
To send help to their friends
Of course we will send it, but when? They ask.
When?
