My basic (and I mean BASIC) summary of how I envision the first book.
Tigerstar's POV. He's a dark cat who knows the value of critisism and realism. He's not overly happy or complimentary and he's not very sociable, but he's loyal through and through. He values the Warrior life, and until now, he has been content with his life, believing Bluestar to be a strong leader.
However, Bluestar has started to become weak-minded and frequently distressed by the traumas of clan life. She believes the clan is dying, less kits are being born and that a doom is coming (paranoia, there isn't really doom XD). It is then that Spottedleaf, a cat who hallucinates after smelling all the herbs, dreams that Fire will save the clan. It's just a ridiculous nonsensical dream brought on by *insert herb* but she believes it's prophetic.
So it is that Bluestar puts all her hope in this dream. She believes it will save her clan. So, when she sees Firepaw, she immediately sees him as the clan's solution. She doesn't see his rudeness or rebellious tendancies (not to mention his horrible avoidance of direct questions), she sees a cat who can do no wrong.
Tigerstar doesn't buy it. Firepaw's consistent rudeness and whatever worries him. He is appauled by Bluestar's blindness and he begins to plot against her and Firepaw.
*can't think up half the plot*
He sees Firepaw's bringing of Yellowfang to the clan for what it really is, a danger.
He sees how unskilled Firepaw is.
He sees Firepaw's meddling in Shadowclan (who is good, somehow) as bad.
I'll think of more later.

I like it all, Rolo! I'd add in Spottedleaf as a slut, Yellowfang as what she is:a rule-breaking, murderous cat. Redtail is actually killed by the same fall as Oakheart, Ravenpaw is just deluded, weak-minded, and terrified of something or other.
I don't remember the first few books too well, so I may be getting a lot of this all screwed up.

woah. this is epic.
Also, some of my ideas-
Bluestar and Oakheart never liked each other, in fact, they hated each others guts and nearly killed each other numerous times.
Ravenpaw knows Firepaw for who he really is, but when he tries to tell Bluestar and everyone else - besides Tigerclaw, because he's afraid of him -, they all laugh him off. When Firepaw takes Ravenpaw to Barley, Ravenpaw is relieved to be rid of /Firepaw/, not /Tigerclaw/.
Starclan is, of course, non-existent (i'm a dumb atheist, huh? i ruin your fun.) and the whole point of prophecies are guesses to their wanting of the future.
Spottedleaf doesn't die and Cinderpaw was hit because /Fireheart/ put the scent marker too close to the Thunderpath.
Tigerclaw and Bluestar are together, and Fireheart likes Spottedleaf /and/ Cinderpaw, leaving bitter Sandstorm to go after Dustpelt who goes after Fernpaw who thinks Dustpelt is disgusting. (teehee!)
Scourge likes Violet. (: Violet and Barley are not on good terms and Barley ends up killing Violet in Thunderclan territory. Scourge blames Thunderclan and wages war, using wanting the territory as an excuse.
Tigerclaw doesn't go to shadowclan.
i'll think of more later. it's late now. o:

I think we're going to do a collaborative group project. I'd definitely want to help out c) I'll make the book covers? /suckywriter
"Spottedleaf doesn't die and Cinderpaw was hit because /Fireheart/ put the scent marker too close to the Thunderpath." Eh, I think Spottedleaf should die, but she shouldn't be all "weeee Medicine Cat! I'm wonderful!" and more like "slutslutslutslut" ya know? And I'd definitely go for more of a psychotic Fireheart than a truly, truly evil one....like yes, he'll be evil, but more in the manipulative sense than that way, if I'm making any sense? I'm exhausted, so sorry D:
"Tigerclaw and Bluestar are together, and Fireheart likes Spottedleaf /and/ Cinderpaw, leaving bitter Sandstorm to go after Dustpelt who goes after Fernpaw who thinks Dustpelt is disgusting. (teehee!)" I'm sorry to keep disagreeing with you, but I like the alternate interpretation with Bluestar deluded better. And how would one manage to construe that? I mean it's possible with a complete switch of the stories, but I think we're starting more manipulative and then branching off. And I like Dustpelt D:

"He's a dark cat who knows the value of critisism and realism. He's not overly happy or complimentary and he's not very sociable, but he's loyal through and through. He values the Warrior life, and until now, he has been content with his life, believing Bluestar to be a strong leader." -- mmkay. This is a good start, but we'll all have to brainstorm a good, round personality for him. I'm thinking he'd be "the strong, silent type", gruff, not fond of pointless conversation or small talk, a realist, focused on serving his Clan. But we need more than that. On what he's like, on what he likes, on who he doesn't like. What's his background? Why is he the way he is?
"It is then that Spottedleaf, a cat who hallucinates after smelling all the herbs, dreams that Fire will save the clan. It's just a ridiculous nonsensical dream brought on by *insert herb* but she believes it's prophetic." -- I'd rather we have a scene (perhaps from her pov) where she goes to collect herbs and sees Rusty in his garden. She thinks he's hot and wants his body, and since he's always on her mind from then on, he ends up in her dreams. She takes it as a sign from StarClan that they are destined for each other and twists it into a prophecy that she knows will cajole Bluestar into bringing him into the Clan.
"Yellowfang as what she is:a rule-breaking, murderous cat." -- I don't remember her murdering anyone.
"Redtail is actually killed by the same fall as Oakheart," -- He was killed by a fall?
"Ravenpaw is just deluded, weak-minded, and terrified of something or other." -- Or perhaps a spoiled brat who thinks Tigerclaw is too harsh and wants a new mentor?
"i'm a dumb atheist, huh?" -- StarClan isn't a deity. It is in part because of my support of religion that I know StarClan to be crap.
We'll be following the same main storyline, yes? Just from a different perspective, and not construed in Firepaw's favor? We should work on assembling an outline of the events in the first book, then.
"I'd definitely go for more of a psychotic Fireheart than a truly, truly evil one....like yes, he'll be evil, but more in the manipulative sense than that way, if I'm making any sense?" -- ...what? um, I think I'm agreeing with you when I say I'd like to keep Fireheart's personality the same, which is rather psychopathic in canon, at least in the first book.
So here's a rough outline of the canon Into the Wild: - RiverClan defeats ThunderClan over Sunningrocks (now that I think about it, the only point to this was to make things look bleak for ThunderClan) - Spottedleaf gets the prophecy while talking with Bluestar about how their lives suck - Rusty wakes from a dream, fights Graypaw, and meets Lionheart and Bluestar, who invites him into the Clan; he has to think about it - The next day, he joins; the Clan isn't happy - Longtail makes a feeble argument against him based on his collar; they fight and the collar comes off, which Bluestar takes as an omen - on an assessment, Firepaw shares tongues with Sir Smudge - Firepaw hunts for Yellowfang and Bluestar invites her into camp
Past this, most of the relevant events regard ShadowClan, which we'll need an alternative storyline for. What are they doing that ThunderClan doesn't like? Why did they banish Yellowfang? Why did ThunderClan find it so easy to defeat them in the battle at the end of the book?
Also, should Whitestorm be a blind Firepaw minion, or should he be as wise as he's supposed to be?

According to the Erins, Tigerstar is evil because his dad, Pinestar, went to go be a kittypet.
...I don't get it either.

And somehow people think they're good writers. Oi. Anyway, we sure don't have to stick to the books on what Tigerclaw is like, though I think he should at least be unfriendly.

"I don't remember her murdering anyone." --Brokentstar. She feeds him death berries.
"He was killed by a fall?" Yeah, a load of rocks fell on him. That one queen told Fireheart.
"Or perhaps a spoiled brat who thinks Tigerclaw is too harsh and wants a new mentor?" --Sure, but I'd like him to be pretty weak minded, but yeah. Spoiled...actually, that really fits. Because of the whole growing fat with Barley thing
"...what? um, I think I'm agreeing with you when I say I'd like to keep Fireheart's personality the same, which is rather psychopathic in canon, at least in the first book." --Yeah. That's what I said. I was just more high than you are D:
Anyway, we sure don't have to stick to the books on what Tigerclaw is like, though I think he should at least be unfriendly. ----- He shouldn't be likeable. That would be a good explanation as to why he was so ostracized over Fireheart, he's blunt and practical and just doesn't seem like a good, likeable person cat.
We'll be following the same main storyline, yes? Just from a different perspective, and not construed in Firepaw's favor? We should work on assembling an outline of the events in the first book, then. --- -Sunning Rocks -prophesy -Firepaw deal -clan objects -fight with Longtail -the collar coming off is taken as an omen (actually that's just physics, but whatever) -Lionheart dies -ShadowClan attack ---Spottedleaf dies ---Suspicion on Yellowfang
A couple last points: Do we keep Brokenstar evil? If we follow the events he should die, but...? Also, Yellowfang is driven off because Brokenstar accuses her of killing two kits (which are her and Brokenstar's) which Brokenstar supposedly actually killed. I say we keep Yellowfang killing them.
