mmm... no. In the book, his evil actions included murder and the harsh training of kits (in some cases both at once), but I don't see any motive behind that. It was getting him less power, not more.
One possibility is that he's trying to convince all the Clans that StarClan doesn't exist. Something else might work better than that, though.

Well, Pinestar did know Firestar's dad. -shudder- --spouts crap- Anyway....I thought of a bunch of really random and stupid ideas, but I'm posting them anyway just to get them out of my head.
-Rusty tries to join ThunderClan, but is totally rejected. He then proceeds to become a rogue, meet Scourge his half bro, and gang up with him on Tigerstar, who unites the Clans. Yeah. I'm nuts tonight. e-e
D< FIRESTAR WOULDN'T EVEN BE ALIVE. I WOULD MAKE HIM DIE BECAUE A HUGE WOLF CAME AND ATE HIM WHEN HE TRIED TO LEAVE HIS TWO-LEGS' HOUSE.-I like this suggestion, however. Just because it makes me giggle. XP -is pathetic- Though I pity the poor wolf that has to eat him.
-Mistyfoot/Stonefur murders Blustar cuz they hate her (and somehow learn the truth in an alternate version from Firecrap spouting at them)
-Graystripe falls in love with a ThunderClan cat (Sandstorm, someone? Idk.)
-Ravenpaw is emo...somehow
-Cinderpelt is lesbian (with Brightheart, maybe)
-Lionheart falls in love with Bluestar but she shuns him
-The elders are plotting to murder Bluestar...idk why.
Well, that's all I have to say for now. Hopefully I'll have better ideas next time.

-feels happy- Maybe I do have a few good ideas after all. I was also thinking that maybe Rusty mates with some cat, then random she-cat murders him. However, RS(random she-cat) is going to have his kits. Then....Idk. His kits join the Clans and plot something evil. X3 |

ShadowClan sounds evil, as does Brokenstar. Therefore, he should be as ridiculously evil as possible. Duh. God Ten, don't be such an idiot D:

Tigerclaw...hmmmm.
Here's my version of him: Antisocial-ish, serious, disliking of kittypets but not all-out hating them. It's not so much that he hates Rusty/Firepaw, but he's alarmed that Bluestar actually invited him to join the Clan and that Longtail was so pathetic when he fought him. He wants to become deputy so he can set ThunderClan straight. He doesn't like Ravenpaw because he thinks he's wussy.
He murdered Redtail because...idk. Maybe we should make up a good reason for him having done that. I know someone suggested that Ravenpaw did it and framed him. That might be good..
Or maybe Oakheart or Stonefur or some other random cat killed him....hmmm.
On ShadowClan: I think Raggedstar should not have died so soon. He should be leader for a while and then lose his ninth life.
Then Brokenstar takes over. Or maybe we could even invent a new ShadowClan leader. Or maybe Blackstar (Mr. Wrongly named) takes over sooner. I don't think Tigerclaw should lead ShadowClan, at least not for a while. But that's just me. I'm interested to hear other people's takes on it.

Right, I'm gonna tell ya'll about how I envision this story, theme-wise and so on.
I would really enjoy using subtlety rather than big punches in the face to write this story. Meaning, I would like to keep the plot reasonably the same, keeping pairings and whatever exactly the same but perhaps hinting at possibilities. I'd prefer it to be that characters stayed exactly the same unless it is needed for the plot for them to be changed. So, I'd disagree with radical changes like making cats gay or having the elders trying to kill Bluestar.
My ideas for an outline (all ADDED events are in Green):
-Sunning Rocks - Tigerclaw fights bravely, even if he goes a little too far. Looking at Bluestar's weakening leadership, he sees losing such a place as something that showed TC looked weak. Oakheart is killed by a rockfall, and Redtail dies honourably in the same way.
-prophesy - The motive behind this is that Spottedleaf saw Fireheart and fancied him, and then, having gone back to her lair, had a hallucination because of the herbs which just happened to embody her desire and give bluestar what she wanted.
-Firepaw deal - Bluestar is so paranoid about the clan dying and believes so heavily in the prophecy, she lets him in even though Smudge would do a much better job ;P I don't think Tigerstar is at this scene, so we'd have to talk about Bluestar's motives through Tigerclaw's POV when Firepaw comes to join the clan.
-clan objects - Stays the same. We have a nice Tigerclaw solioquey here, saying why he doesn't want this apprentice.
-fight with Longtail - Stays the same, with Tigerstar heavily rooting Longtail on
-the collar coming off is taken as an omen - It's not an omen, nuff said.
-Redtail's death - Tigerstar notices how numb Firepaw seems to be towards the death (just like in the books) and marks him down as one to watch.
- Time passing + Observations - Basically, we see Tigerstar's growing dislike for FP and is stupified by how bad the leader is at punishing his rebellious tendancies.
-Lionheart dies - Tiger takes deputyship and hopes he can lead the clan in the right path, hoping to convince Bluestar to remember traditions and clan rules.
-ShadowClan attack - Heck knows.
---Spottedleaf dies - Tiger is sad since it's his sister but glad because she was a little insane.
---Suspicion on Yellowfang - Yellowfang is actually harmless but Tigerclaw is suspicious of her ONLY because she's from another clan. He is against her just because that's what a TRADITIONAL leader would do.

I'm totally with Rolo.
And I say we don't waste time being all "oh well maybe....well maybe you..." and just have people start grabbing sections. Ya know? If people all try to select and everything we'll never start. So let's just go x)
We can write different part simultaneously, right? We'll just have to sync them as we go...
Is there somewhere we can get the book online?
I'd love to do a section, as y'all know already.
