A tawny brown flash popped in an out behind dying black trees. A small, lithe she-cat prowled through the deathly undergrowth, her round eyes shining like green fire. Her nose twitched; her whiskers shivered. She was on the hunt, stalking a young woodmouse. Her thoughts traveled to the disgusting methods of killing the rodent, and her upper lip slightly curled back in a twisted smile.
Pinpointed the brown creature with unnatural green eyes, she crouched, ready to pounce. Shaking her haunches once, twice, three times, she pounced. Long tan claws shredded through thin pink skin as the she-cat tossed the mouse into the air, letting it land with a thump on the debris-laden ground. Snickering a horrid laugh, the she-cat toyed with the mouse, repeatedly sending waves of pain through it's body by hooking her claws in it and dropping it until the mouse refused to move.
Crouching down to eat the fresh-kill as an apprentice normally should not, Sparrowpaw heard a rustle behind her. Snarling viciously and spinning around, she lashed her long, brown ringed tail in spite. Narrowing her bright green eyes, Sparrowpaw prowled over to a nearby bush.
"Show yourself, you cowardly piece of fox-dung."

"Foxdung?" The she-cat practically spat. "Don't talk about yourself like that, it's bad for your self-esteem." The last two words were hissed as the speaker made herself visible.
She strutted out of her hiding place like she owned it and had every right to be there. The she-cat's pale ginger fur gleamed in the sunlight, growing brighter every moment she spent out of the shade of her hiding spot. Her dull hazel eyes scanned over the other apprentice lazily, taking a moment before she remembered the others name. "Sparrowpaw," she said thoughfully. Then her thin lips pulled into a grin of sorts -- more like a sneer.
Brightpaw wrapped her thick-furred tail around her paws as she sat, taking a long yawn before she spoke again. "Well fed I see?" Despite Brightpaw's look of not caring for the warrior code, it was only a semblence of some other cats, a mockery if you will. The she-apprentice really did care for the code that bound them as clan cats. And Sparrowpaw had broken it.

A small delicate looking cream and orange colored she cat padded out of a bush. She stared ahead at another cat focused on another bush nearby. "Excuse me what are you hissing at?" she asked twitching her ear in curiosity. The kittypet, Cloe, was terrified of the forest and the cats that lived inside. But today she had decided to go in, unaware of what kind of dangers could lurk inside.
