It was at this point that Bear couldn't hold in his laughter anymore. Both he and Fox threw their heads back, releasing extremely amused laughter, though the underlying tones could cause shivers up a weaker cat's spine. "You Clan cats really are as stupid as you look," Fox finally spoke, her grin revealing her thin, pointed teeth.
Bear picked up where she stopped. "You think that just because you don't see us when you arrive, that no one else lives here except you. In all actuality, you and all of your other Clan friends are trespassing on our entire territory." The tom narrowed his eyes, losing the humor that, just moments before, danced across his features. "We owned this forest and since your arrival, this is the only area that we still keep."

Clayfang's eye-ridges rose in surprise, whiskers quivering. "My apologies then, rogues. If this is your forest-- all of it-- then why not state it? One cat a time, and maybe..." He tilted to his head to the side with a chuckle. "No. That would be suicidal, wouldn't it? If you told all the cats that this was your territory, they'd burst an organ!" He gwaffawed softly at that, tail twitching.
"...I respect this land, though, and the creatures that live on it. I shall let you be. Perhaps I can manage to sway the leaders into letting you keep The Fallen Tree's as yours. Maybe." He nestled his muzzle under his paws, thinking. "It would only be right." Clayfang coughed suddenly-- nervously-- and raised his head, ears back and looking at the ground.
"I have a reputation to uphold, though; so don't tell anyone I said that."

Bear's lip curled up in disdain, his usually calm demeanor falling straight from his face. Fox stepped forward, her tail swelling and teeth bared. "Do not pity us." Bear moved to step in front of her and calm her anger but she snapped at him, sinking her teeth into his scruff. Automatically, the larger tom backed away, quailed by his half-sister's anger. "You make us sound weak for not taking on your groups for our land. We are not the weak ones, it is you." Fox snarled, ears laid back and teeth bared.
Bear watched from behind his sister, making no move to calm her down again. The small puncture wounds in his scruff throbbed with a dull pain, but they weren't bleeding profusely and would heal in a few days. "Keep your land. Do not give it to us because you feel bad."

Clayfang snorted. "Pity? I feel no such thing. I have no reason to. Bad? Oh, I don't need to feel bad to know I'm bad." He grinned at his poorly stated joke. "I was mearly saying if it is your land, then you should keep it. Nothing more, and nothing less. It isn't my land. I own nothing but myself; it was your land in the first place." He tilted his head again, laying his calm demeanor on thick.
"I could strike up a deal with the leaders-- tell them to leave you two alone. Unless you feel that you can handle yourselves, then I won't. I understand that. We all fight our own battles sometimes." His nose crinkled up in wonder. "Though this time it might not be the case."

Thunder boomed overhead and the downpour seemed to become heavier for a few moments. Fox hissed at him, her mind still adding everything he was saying up to the fact that he was calling them weak and unable to do anything for themselves.
Fox suddenly stilled her anger, turning her wrathful face into one of cool, stomach-turning amusement.
