Again, she found herself wandering around the forest. She just felt safe and warm whenever she was around green leafy trees. Taking in the moisture of the river, she started going faster. Gingertail inhaled deeply to find out the mystery of the two characters. Flamepaw and¡¦Lynxstorm. Her yellow eyes glaring at them, she slowly padded towards them. What are you stupid toms doing? Planning to talk all day long? She felt a flash of anger. Flamepaw, are you sure you are a medicine cat apprentice? You are acting like a stupid furball doing nothing! And as for you Lynxstorm, are you sure you're a Warrior? The words just blurted out without any reasons to support it. The ginger feline knew that she might have brought a dark feeling to Flamepaw but did she care? No, not at all. Even though she knew that Lynxstorm was more highly respected and look more bigger but that didn't matter because she was older than him anyways. She puffed up her chest so that she would look bigger and stronger. Filled with confidants.

"Mm'kay." Instead of contradicting Lynxstorm's words for once, the apprentice just nodded. He had begun to respect the tom for some reason. The majority of MeadowClan probably would've backed out from his request and become cowards in his point of view, but Lynxstorm hadn¡¯t. Anyways, Flamepaw had had enough of swimming; he started paddling out quickly until a sharp, sudden voice halted him.
"What are you stupid toms doing? Planning to talk all day long?"
The ginger jerked his head up to meet the green eyes of another fire-hued cat. Glaring, he spoke icily, "With all due respect, Gingertail, we are not planning to talk 'all day long' and yes I am the medicine cat apprentice, or have you not heard?" Dripping sarcasm fueled his tone and he thought, What does she think I am, stupid? Flamepaw surpressed a sneer and walked the rest of the way out of the water, crisp winds turning him cold. "Oh, and by the way, you look like those fishes that puff up like fat clouds when you do that." He raised his chin and stuck out his chest, swaggering toward her in a comical imitation of Gingertail.

She was slashing her tail fiercely. Bringing up a hiss she unsheathed her claws and was about to pounce but her logical thinking stopped her. Bristling her fur she thought that she will solve this with words. "Stupid cat! Look young fellow, you are younger and weaker so shut your mouth before I shut it for you. I'll introduce you to my claws if you wish. I wonder why Cederstar would choose a dumb medicine cat apprentice like you. Just can't wait to see you killing cats when you could've saved them" Then Gingertail felt satisfaction rising. But still, it would have been better if she attacked him. To have a special camaraderie with this tom then it would take years and years. To feel more of the benefit, she added "It's very interesting how your mentor didn't die of stress from you. And Lynxstorm, do you have anything to say to me?" She was pretty proud of herself. She was acting cool.
Whether she was offending him or not, she felt good.
The next time says something sassy then I'll rip him into pieces. |
