MoonGlade is one of the most serene, peaceful places anywhere close to the four Clans. There is little noise, from any mammal or bird, no one quite knows why exactly, but it may just be out of respect to the sacred area.
In order to get there, cats must travel through Clan territory and past the ranch and twoleg place, deep into an unfamiliar forest where trees are growing close together, all tall and strong with thick, coarse trunks and high branches. There is little wildlife to be found, so be sure you fill your bellies before you leave.
It is rather easy to find the MoonGlade, it is the only large opening in the entire forest. In the center of the glade is a mountain of boulders all stacked on each other, though are fairly easy to climb up. The cats must make it to the topmost boulder, which is almost level with the tops of the trees. It is completely flat and the cats can walk or lay on it without having to worry about slipping off, and it is large enough that, should they toss and turn in their dreams, they won't roll off.
In order for the cats to establish their full connection to StarClan, they need to lay in the center of the topmost boulder on their backs, bellies and faces staring straight up at the moon. From this angle, when the moon is at its highest point, the cats become bathed in the moonlight, which allows the cats from StarClan to lay and speak with them. |
