Appearance |
Ravenstorm is of medium build and usually quite skinny. Short black fur covers his entire body with the exception of his right hind paw which is the same colour as freshly fallen snow. A scar runs down the right side of his face vertically, the pink line starts at the eyebrow and then cuts down across his eyelid and reaches midway down his cheek. Ravenstorm's eyes are bright blue and are rarely filled with any emotion and have dulled slightly with time, his whiskers are long and numerous falling halfway down his neck. A few more smaller scars litter his pelt but those are mere marks of a fighting warrior.
Personality |
Ravenstorm is not the friendliest of cats, he finds it extremely difficult to trust the cats around him due to his past. When people do try to approach him he is sarcastic and usually quite rude, even when a cat manages to get close to him he rarely treats them much differently. But no matter who he is around everyone will say he has an extremely short temper and a bad attitude. Despite all his downfalls Ravenstorm is a thinker and he always thinks before he pounces which, by the way, is entirely different then thinking before he shoots his mouth off.
Skills |
Over the course of his life Ravenstorm's main focus has been learning to fight therefor he lacks in the hunting department. His sharp mind allow him to think of excellent fighting strategies and battle tactics though.
History |
The scent of blood hit Syn's scent glands and he spun around to look at his mother's still form. “Mom!” Both Thyme and him said in union as they sprinted to her side. She was coughing up blood, just like father had started to do a few days before he had died. 'Are we going to lose her too?' Syn thought fear spreading through his body. Cloud was sniffing their mother's flank and silently licked her cheek, both of Syn's siblings had caught the sickness as well and they knew this same fate soon awaited them.
“Syn?” Thyme mewed catching her brother's attention. “Will that happen to Cloud and me too?” Syn looked away from the terrible fear in his sister's eyes, as much as he wanted to it was impossible to lie to her.
“Yes sister, the same fate awaits both of you.” Syn heard Thyme give a distressed mewl and his shoulders dropped. “I am going to go visit Sky,” He mewed as he padded silently out of the barn and out into the cold leaf-fall air. Leafbare was rapidly approaching and Syn knew that soon he would only have Sky left. He felt like his heart was being ripped in a thousand tiny pieces, most of them would never be found.
“Syn!” A familiar voice cried out as Syn entered the old rabbit burrow. “I am so happy... W-what's wrong?!” Her face had fallen the moment she had taken a good look at his, he knew that he probably looked like he was on the verge of a breakdown but only Sky was here so he could care less.
“Mom started to cough up blood today,” He managed to say before Sky ran at him and pressed her fur into his own while nudging him with her muzzle in a comforting gesture.
“Come on Syn,” Sky said as she picked up a few black seeds. “I will give your mother these to ease her pain.” Syn nodded in thanks and the two young cats set off again toward the abandoned barn but their calm walk soon turned into a full out sprint when the sound of Thyme's distressed mewl cut through the silence of the night. Blood-scent was wafting from the barn along with a scent that was unfamiliar to Syn, it was the scent of another cat.
When Syn and Sky burst into the barn they both froze, standing over Syn's brother's and sister's still bodies was a huge cat whose teeth were dripping with his mother's and sibling's blood.' Who was this cat? Why did he murder my family?' Syn thought with his eyes two time their usual size.
“So this is where the third runt was,” The cat's voice was low and threatening. Syn hissed as his fur stood and end and his claws unsheathed and dug into the rotting floorboards of the barn. “Ha, so you are a fighter aren't you runt?” The cat smirked as he padded toward the two young cats, Syn moved in front of Sky and stood his ground.
“I am going to kill you for what you have done,” Syn did not recognize his own voice. It was laced with rage and loss, the anger that built up inside of him turned his vision red with blood lust and need to kill the murderer of his family.
“Ah, so you are bent on revenge aren't cha?” The cat laughed, Syn only got a good view of him now. The tom was huge, his pelt was dark brown and had scars crisscrossing over top each other. His claws were abnormally long and sharp while his eyes gleamed bright yellow in the shadows of the barn. “I think I will keep you alive runt,” The cat said as it circled him and Sky. “Only so I can get the full satisfaction of killing you when you can actually fight back, don't worry I don't feel like killing your little friend either.” A terrible smile came over his face, “But I will leave you with something to remember me by.”
A paw struck Syn in the side and he went flying into the far wall. His vision blurred as his head struck the ground and he heard Sky calling out to him in fear. Warm liquid was dripping down his cheek and Syn knew he had struck a nail or a sharp piece of wood when he had slid down the wall. “Train runt,” A sharp pain was felt in his shoulder as the huge tom bit down into it. “Train and once you are strong seek me out.” The pain intensified as the tom ripped his teeth from Syn's shoulder.
“Name?” Syn managed to ask weakly. When he didn't answer Syn spoke louder. “Tell me your name dammit!” A low chuckle was heard from the other side of the barn, he was about to leave.
“Hawk.” Then the cat was gone.
That was many, many moons ago and Syn is yet to find the cat who murdered his family. “Remind me again why we have to join this clan,” Sky said as she trotted alongside Syn. “I mean, our life is good as it is.”
Syn's emotionless face did not change, ever since his family had been murdered Syn had become colder and colder. Sky hated the way Syn was, she hated Hawk more due to the fact he caused it.
“These clan cats know the most about fighting in all the world, also a rogue we passed a few moons ago spoke of a cat who had recently joined the clans. His description of the cat fit the cowardly bastard's perfectly.” Sky sighed, Syn was going to join this 'FogClan' no matter what all she could do was follow him.
“Sky,” Sky turned to Syn to look at him.
“What is it Syn?”
“Thank you,” Sky looked at him shocked. “Thank you for everything.” A smile came over Sky's face, she would follow Syn to the ends of the earth if he asked her to. He would always be her most trusted and loved friend.
