He didn't protest when Gingerstar started speaking right away, Cloudstar wasn't one for starting off anyway. The tom sat back calmly as the ginger cat addressed her clan's issues, including a well pointed jab toward Owlstar. Cloudstar was quite amused with the FogClan leader's response, and inwardly agreed. Was a single apprentice too much for PineClan to handle? Or was Gingerstar preaching the warrior code here? If she was, then, he doubted many cats would take her seriously. After all, what was the warrior code without StarClan?
Cloudstar was surprised to hear that FogClan had taken in a kit. Not so much that it went against their way (he doubted any clan would ever turn down a kit), but more that there had been an abandoned kit during this cold Leaf-Bare. It's parents were either frantic and suffering, or cold hearted pieces of mousedung, he decided, turning his attention to Cedarstar without a word. More good but bad news, he mused with a smile. Dappledflower had given birth, but it was during this harsh weather. Ah well, from what he remembered of his lone encounter with the she-cat, she was a very strong warrior. Her kits would be fine. Maybe he would get to see them one day, and maybe he could tell them the story of when their mother visited StreamClan.
So then it was his turn. Stepping forward, he smiled at all the cats gathered, wrapping a tail around his paws. “Congratulations, MeadowClan.” He paused for a quick second. “I'm sure you are all eager to get home, so I will make this quick. StreamClan is doing fine in this weather as well, despite the loss of the river. We have scented the badger near our border, but it was only once, and the scent was stale. I think the creature has fled these lands.” He took a step back, announcing he was done, and turned to the leaders. “A safe journey home, you three. Until we meet again.” With that he jumped down from the rock, waving for his clan members to follow. [/blockquote]
