Rainwhisker sat on the cold ground, wind playing in her hair. She opened her mouth, letting out a sigh. She was depressed about her past, and felt sad about it now. She thought she could live as a clan cat. Free, wild.. But.. She thought wrong. When she joined, she was happy, but being without her family sickened her, just the thought of it. She dropped on her flank, smelling the air. She smelled something familiar, but didn't want to get up, and welcome him or her nicely. Instead, she just looked back, and said "Hi"

Russetwhisker prowled into the camp, a rabbit locked in her jaws. Hunting had gone particularly well today; she'd already brought in three mice and two birds as well. It was easy to tell that new-leaf was coming, right on time... The weather was warming, the terrain was always wet from the melting ice and snow, the prey was returning...
The spotted-tabby she-cat dropped her fresh-kill onto the pile, eyes automatically scanning the camp and cataloging who was there. Not many were around, out patrolling, hunting or training Apprentices, but there was a fair enough force left to protect it... Good.
Russetwhisker padded back toward the exit, tail held out low behind her. She twitched the end of it in thought, trying to decide what she should do next - perhaps find her irritating Cloudpaw and drag him out to the training area - but then was sidetracked by a voice.
She halted, and turned her head to face the cat who'd greeted her. Rainwhisker, she recalled, was the other she-cat's name. Russetwhisker's eyes and expression were clear of anything at all as she returned the meow. "Good afternoon. Do you need something?"
Her tone was clipped and businesslike, discouraging idle chitchat. They should all know by now that Russetwhisker was never interested in 'idle chitchat,' anyway. She never even shared tongues with anyone, unless there was a reason for it other than the usual relaxing and bond-building.

"Good afternoon to you too." She mewed, trying to look cheerful. She paused and looked down. Do you need something? That was a dumb question. Of course she did. Her past, ruined now because of the choice she made. She wanted only to change back time. She looked up at the spotted she-cat. Rainwhisker shook her head and said "No thank you." Then, closing her eyes, she bit her lip and pressed her chin to her chest. "Yes. I need someone to change time." She whispered, silent enough for Russetfur not to hear.

Russetwhisker twitched her ears back and narrowed her eyes at the gray she-cat. "Why did you even bother me, then?" She asked, mildly annoyed.
Russetwhisker studied Rainwhisker more intently, noting that she seemed to be in a very downtrodden mood. Did she want someone to whine and complain to, or to receive sympathy from? Pfft. If she wanted that, she should go to the Queens. Russetwhisker was not one to dole out comfort, and everyone who had even spoken with her for a brief minute knew it - even those from other Clans were wary of her sharp tongue when meeting with her on patrols or at Gatherings.

Rainwhisker jumped up in defense, feeling anger boil up in side of her. "I never even bothered you! I just said hi, and maybe you could say hi back and leave me alone. It was your fault, and you can't blame me for it." She snapped harshly. She bit her lip from saying something rude and sat down. "You can't go telling something that isn't true. I bet, you-" She paused and looked down. She bit her lip once more, and fell on her side again. "I bet you couldn't live the life I am living now. So, just stop making comments like that." She finally said.

The she-cat padded slowly out of the warriors den, stretching elegantly. Nightpelt sat down outside the warriors den and proceeded to begin grooming her pelt. First the paws, then the ears and the maw, then onto her chest fur. It was a routine she had gotten used to over the passing moons. She sighed and looked around as she finally finished grooming her now soft and sleek pelt. Looking up from the ground, she spotted some cats chatting but was reluctant to go and talk to them. She was shy and she wasn't very confident and outgoing enough to approach them.

Rainwhisker paused, and looked around the camp. She noticed Nightpelt grooming herself. Rainwhisker looked at Russetwhisker and sighed, one cat could be so annoying. She jumped for a leaf that passed by, making loops, as the air pushed it forward and up. Rainwhisker growled as she missed, falling hard on her chin. She shrugged and tried again, now catching with her claw.

Night smiled. A large rabbit hung from his jaws, his biggest catch of the day. He decided to eat next to a nearby bush. The sun was hot that day, and he purred as it warmed his pelt. He dropped the rabbit and began to lay down and eat when an odd scent reached his nose. The bush smelled weird, but familiar. It's scent marked! He thought. Forgetting the rabbit, he began to follow the line of scent marked trees and bushes. What is this? He thought, sitting down next to the clan border. And who are the cats that marked all of these trees? It had been a long time since Night had seen another cat, never mind talk to them. He hadn't realized how lonely he was until he had a chance to be near other cats. There was no way he was turning this opportunity down. Remembering the rabbit, Night turned back to the first bush. He grabbed it and crossed over to the other side of the scent line. The scent of cats grew stronger as he walked away from the border. When he could smell them clearly despite the rabbit in his mouth, he stopped. He sighed when he saw the state of his pelt. His fur stuck out in all directions. Dropping the rabbit, Night began grooming himself. It took a little while to tame his wild hair, but he looked pretty good when he was finished. He picked the rabbit up again and continued to where the cat smell was strongest. That's when he saw a clan for the first time. He was suddenly glad that he hadn't eaten the rabbit because the number of cats was intimidating. They looked like they would kill him if he was seen as a threat. He took a deep breath and waltzed into the camp. There seemed to be a pile of food in the center of the camp, so he tossed his rabbit on top and waited. Maybe you should have thought about what you're gonna say to these cats...Night thought to himself.

ooc; Night is a brave cat. o.o
Green-yellow eyes blinked open, closing a second after as the sunlight hit the tabby's face. He rose to his paws, shaking the moss from his pelt and stumbling outside, trying to get his eyes used to the bright light. Stepping outside the Warrior's Den, Rabbitstep began to stretch, curling his tail tip until it touched his back. As he opened his mouth for a yawn, a new scent hit him. Alarm filled his mind and he gazed around, spying a rogue/loner sitting there in camp. He looked pretty young, about seven or eight moons. Rabbitstep's pelt began to bristle has he padded over the the cat, claws unsheathing. "Can I help you?" he growled, aggression clear in every movement the brown tabby made.

Night nearly jumped out of his skin. "Can you?" he managed, summoning his courage. He wasn't going to let this cat know that he was scared. Never show weakness. he thought sternly. Night dipped his head politely to him and then met his gaze. "My name is Night. Could you kindly explain what this place is?" He asked, doing his best not to notice the cats unsheathed claws.
