So this was what it felt like to be ignored? The she-cat scowled. Well she didn't like it. She shook her head half tempted to spring to her feet and flounce away. Of course, that would get her no respect from this group of toms. It could still be quite enjoyable. Whitetail weighed the options in her mind.
In the end, she stayed seated. Only shifting slightly to prove that she was here. Oh, and to show she wanted to be in the conversation. This had its problems. The biggest of which seemed to be the fact that she needed to listen. Paying attention and creating reasonable responses would be in order too.
"A spar, hm? Don't mind if I do,"
It was the first thing that she truly took in. The last couple of comments seemed to go in one ear and out the other. She stifled a snicker, not wanting to look like a complete crazy. She had to admit, she wasn't doing a brilliant job at paying attention. Or any part of her resolution. The she-cat realized she had nothing to add.
Her ears pricked as a new voice came. No, wait. It was only Pebbleclaw. The she-cat deflated just a tad and yawned. Flicking her tail she let his words wash into her.
"Actually, forget what I said. I'm going hunting. Is anyone interested to come along with me to hunt?"
Wait, what? Now the she-cat was confused. She believed herself to be good at reading others. And this comment had stunned her. Pebbleclaw didn't seem the type to take back his words. Or follow someone else's instructions. And last of all, she would have never have guess that he would have asked for company on something like hunting.
"So, is anybody planning to go with me?"
Ah, now this Whitetail could see. Impatience seemed like a quality Pebbleclaw would possess. And impatience was not something the she-cat wished to hunt with. She couldn't say that outright.
"No thank you, Pebbleclaw. I already hunted this morning."
And then they were back to the spar.
ooc;; I am sorry for the wait and the not so good post [/size]

Shadeclaw scoffed at Stontail's insults. He cast a quick glance over at Pebbleclaw, who had just asked if anyone wanted to hunt with him. He gave a short-lived smirk as the she-cat rejected his request. "Have fun hunting by yourself," Shadeclaw snickered. Now usually Shadeclaw wasn't the type to be outright rude, but Stontail's insults made him angry and grouchy, so he was more than happy to share his temper-influenced ill opinion of others. The dark gray cat licked his lips. He returned his attention to Stonetail and he asked that question Shadeclaw loved so much. When and where. Shadeclaw almost said 'right here, right now,' but there were others watching, and he did not want to give any bad impressions. He was pumped up now, so he knew this spar had to be soon. He looked at Whitetail, and realized that they had been completely ignoring her, save his little statement only a few moments prior. She was clearly interested in this spar.
Shadeclaw finally answered Stonetail's question after what seemed like thinking for far too long. In actuality, Shadeclaw did not think at all. He figured the training hollow should be good, as it was meant for training, and a spar was technically training. "The training hollow, right now," he growled. This growl was not as grumpy as his previous growls, but from the tone, one could tell Shadeclaw was very serious. He began padding off, merely glancing at Pebbleclaw, not caring whether he followed them or not. He then thought about Whitetail and stopped. He thought it would be unfair to leave such a nice she-cat hanging. He turned around to face her. "Feel free to join us," he meowed. He hoped that she knew by that he meant observe, not get involved in the spar. Shadeclaw liked putting on a show for those that were interested and understood how much he liked to fight. He exited the camp, and headed for the training hollow, eager to start this spar.
ooc; Sorry I took so long, I'll start a thread at the training hollow.
