As Reedfoot talked and her plan was revealed to Rowanheart, his eyes widened as he considered what she was saying. Reedfoot had a lot of guts. In fact, Rowanheart looked at her with surprise clear in his face, his ears flicked forward in interest. He knew she was smart but she was always so calm and quiet in Fogclan camp. He had never expected such a... crazy, "out-there" idea to come from her muzzle. It was creative, that was for sure. He didn't know how realistic it was though...
Rowanheart thought about the idea. He didn't want to think about it though, but he felt that Frostpaw really was driving him too far and imagining such a convoluted plan working brought him immense relief. And that was from just thinking about it! Wouldn't it shut her up? Wouldn't she realize...
No.
Rowanheart sighed. "As much... I would love for that plan to work, Reedfoot. But I'd feel terrible doing such a thing, even to Frostpaw. In the end, when we told her it was just a set-up, I'm sure she would rebel even more fiercely. As much as I... don't like her, I've gotten to... know her over the past moons. And she'd just despise the entire clan then. It's not the way to get her to respect me, or any warrior. I just wish I could let Starclan into her heart. I believe that would help her so much."
Yes, Starclan would bring her happiness, joy, love. She could finally come to peace with whatever was driving her to be so insane and hateful. It was Starclan that they needed... only Rowanheart was no medicine cat and even then, he couldn't conjure Starclan up at will.

Great, now he probably thought she was crazy. Just Great. Of course he would. It wasn't like she was always spitting out crazy ideas...She usually kept to herself.
Instead of a plan, she went with reassurance this time. "Don't worry. Starclan will reach her somehow, you'll see...And at the very least, when she gets older, she might gain more respect for you. If she really wants to become a warrior...Then she'll have to."
What Frostpaw needed, was a trip to The Moonglade...But that would never happen. At least, not so soon...Unless Rowanheart could convince Owlstar that it was completely necessary, but even then, how would starclan react? They might not even touch Frostpaw if the matter was forced.
Huh. Yet another crazy idea. But this time, Rowanheart wasn't going to hear it. Reedfoot's ears were still burning from the embarrassment of the last failed attempt.

ooc// Gah, I would love for Reedfoot to share that idea! It intrigues me and Rowan might go for it. Frostpaw go to the Moonglade? Maybe with the medicine cats? I'm just thinking of the interaction between all of them... and Frostpaw could even talk to the Pineclan med. cats... anyway, I'd have to talk to Rolo since Frost isn't mine. And Rowan would have to find out.... :3 I'm gonna try to pry it out of Reedfoot...
bic//
Rowanheart flicked his tail and then smiled at Reedfoot as her reassuring tone stroked his ears. They were such lovely words... if only they were true. He wondered if Starclan even cared about Frostpaw anymore. In fact, they probably gave up a long time ago. Why wasn't he giving up? Probably my pride, or my thick head. I'm told both are too strong for my own good. He thought a little bitterly.
"Yes. And she won't become a warrior without my consent so maybe she'll straighten up on her own when she realizes that she'll need to impress me, not drive me over the edge," Rowanheart said. "Though I have to say, your plan, though a little... strange, was very creative. You should share your ideas more often, Reedfoot. I'm sure Owlstar could use a mind like yours, I know I certainly like hearing your thoughts."
It seemed they had gotten off track though. Somehow they had managed to just stand around and enjoy each other's company rather than go off hunting like actual warriors. When he remembered this, Rowanheart sniffed the air again, though it was half-hearted. He would rather talk than hunt.

ooc: You're certainly going about it the right way. Reedy-kins is a little vain. x3 bic: "Oh! Well thank you...I have another idea, but lemme just catch somthing first. Somehow, with al the time we've spent out here, I don't think bringing back one piece of prey will be recieved well." She giggled and dropped into a crouch as the scent of squirrel. The creature had decided to venture out of its tree, hoping that because the cats didn't seem to be hunting, it would be ignored.
Perhaps if it had done such a thing a little sooner...
Unfortunately it didn't. Reedfoot crept forward and pounced, but she missed her mark. The squirrel bolted for a tree, but the she-cat hit the ground running. Her prey made it to a tree, however, it could not scramble high enough in time. Reedfoot leaped, batting it off the bark and killing the dazed creature with a swift bite to the neck. A little too showy...Thank Starclan she didn't end up making a fool of herself.
Though she did feel proud of herself, she decided not to jinx the whole thing by acting it. So she just buried the prey, meekly, thanking starclan repitedly that they had chosen not to make her look foolish. Of course, now she had dirt all over her paws.

ooc// Rolo said the Moonglade thing was okay. x3 And Reedfoot is a bit like Firepaw... Firepaw lives for compliments, he's quite the narcisstic fellow.
bic//
Rowanheart was impressed with Reedfoot's speed and aggression. Once the squirrel hit the tree, he would have simply let the darn thing climb to its safety. But not Reedfoot! She raked the creature back down, digging into the squirrel's back with fierce claws. Rowanheart admired such strength in cats and so he was more than happy to give her a well-deserved compliment.
"That was brilliant, Reedfoot. I've never seen a cat so determined to catch a squirrel before. And it's quite plump... I'm sure my son, Firepaw, will claim it as soon as he sees it. He has a soft spot for squirrels you know," Rowanheart said as he turned his head and scanned the area for prey. He thought he smelled a mouse but it was staying quite still and he didn't want to go the extra mile and find it himself. He'd just wait for the mouse to do something stupid. And it would... it was a mouse after all.
His tail flicked as his mind wandered back to Reedfoot and her other plan. He was quite eager to hear it. Maybe she could think up something that would work... clearly she had many tricks hidden away in her arsenal.

ooc: She tries not to , but you can only hide your nature for so long. xD
Reedfoot purred with happiness as she cleaned her paws. "You really think so? That's so nice...Thanks." It was like she couldn't find the words she wanted to express her gratitude for the compliment. So she just laughed again and added, "I hope your son enjoys it...If he can get to it before Otterclaw. My brother's worse than a badger when it comes to food."
Satisfied that her paws were as white as they were before she left camp and filled with the confidence Rowanheart had given her, she decided to give her other idea a shot.
"I think I may have another idea. Maybe what Frostpaw needs is...The Moonglade. You could ask Owlstar if Frostpaw could go there with Hailstorm and Finchpaw next time they go. Starclan could definitely get to her there and then she'd have to believe."

Rowanheart chuckled at her joke. Otterclaw was like the polar oppostite of Reedfoot sometimes, and though he didn't know the tom, he certainly saw him a lot and heard him. He wasn't a quiet cat. He was actually a lot like Firepaw... the two would probably get along wonderfully.
When Reedfoot said that she had an idea, he leaned closer and with a nod, urged her to go on. He was confident that whatever she had thought up, it would be interesting, and hopefully this one was one he could put into action with a clear conscious...
And it was.
"Maybe what Frostpaw needs is...The Moonglade."
It really was a brilliant plan! The only problem with it is that he would have to let Frostpaw be near Finchpaw again... but, he would be surrounded by medicine cats. He'd have his mentor beside him and so he would be safe.
"Wonderful idea, Reedfoot!" he purred. "That plan is brilliant. Frostpaw would be around all those medicine cats... and she might be able to make contact with Starclan. The experience would definitely affect her and I can only hope it will change her beliefs. How did you come up with that?" And why hadn't he thought of it in the first place? It was the perfect solution.

"It just sort of came to me. If starclan won't go to Frostpaw, then we need to make Frostpaw go to starclan...And where else to do it, but by going to the moonglade."
So she wasn't crazy after all. HaHA. Take that Otterclaw.
Otterclaw.
HE certainly couldn't find out until after the fact. Reedfoot wouldn't surprised if he encouraged Frostpaw's behavior towards Rowanheart. He was pretty like-minded as far as starclan and respect went...But then again, he did follow the warrior code...Though he pushed it constantly.
"And if starclan doesn't contact her...Then I guess we'll have to accept it, no matter how horrible it is. But I'm sure they will. I mean, why wouldn't they want to show her that she is never alone? That she can always look up and know that someone is looking after her?"

Rowanheart nodded vigoriously, agreeing with every word she said. Even though he himself had told Frostpaw that she was and always would be alone, he only said that because she didn't accept Starclan into her heart.
"Unfortunately, I don't know if I'll ever be able to accept it if she's still in our clan. Doesn't it worry you, knowing she's trying to convince cats that Starclan doesn't exist? If she was quiet about her beliefs, it wouldn't bother me as much. But she's trying to poison other cats' minds."
Rowanheart turned and then tried to focus on hunting. It wasn't working though, and when he saw his mouse, he pounced too late and missed it by an inch. He cursed once, but wasn't too upset. He had lost prey before and he got over it very quickly.
"We'll just have to see I suppose... now, what's going on with you? And your brother?"

"All you've said, and now this? Of course it bothers me. I mean...now I'm starting to doubt whether or not she's in the right clan..."
Reedfoot started as Rowanheart asked her about her brother, Otterclaw. It was a very direct question...And one that she was willing to supply the answer to. Readily.
"He's...He's...He's so irritating! Otterclaw's always pushing the warrior code, too far for my liking. If Owlstar had known how he really was, I'm sure he wouldn't have gotten his warrior name. I mean, he faked his way all through training, pretending to be good and...and acting like me...Just to piss me off! But of course his mentor didn't doubt his 'innocent eyes' for a second and believed his charade completely! So of course he got to be a warrior. And now that he is, he's showing his true personality. He's cheeky, he's insubordinate, and to top it all off he told me that stars were stars! He said that dead was dead, and that Starclan was just a bunch of kit's tales...I mean, I thought he wanted to believe in Starclan...But I guess I was dead wrong about that."
