Hearing the voice of her kit she trotted outside. She saw Gingerkit cleaning the dust on the floor. ]"Gingerkit?" She made her voice come out into the open so that her kit will realize she was there. She sent a signal of warmness by smiling. Stripedpelt sympathized this kit from the expression and the actions Gingerkit makes. It was like a song. Somebody would sing it and she would listen.
Slowly making her pace she wrapped her tail around the ginger body and took some steps to get the kit moving again.

As Gingerkit followed, she asked, "When will I be an apprentice? I mean, since I'm not an apprentice, I have nothing to do. And when I have nothing to do, the day seems to drift on, and on, and on, and on, and it never ends." She purred and meowed again, "If I ever become a warrior, I'll always stand right next to you, and when danger comes, I'll be the one protecting you. You'll be all old, and weak, by that time, I think." Gingerkit looked up to her mother with admiring eyes, then continued the pace that she was taking. Gingerkit asked, "Aren't you going to answer my question?" she nudged her mother and meowed, "Hurry up! I want to know when I could ever become a real apprentice, mentored by the best warrior in StreamClan!"
ooc: From now, Gingerkit shall become Gingerpaw.

¡°Gingerkit, did you realize that receiving your warrior name is a inch away from you?¡± Stripedpelt¡¯s eyes glowed with pride. She felt as if she had right now defeated 100 claws slashing at her. And it was true, she had faces a lot of troubles but she had stepped over them. But now, the times will be a little bit easier to handle because Gingerkit will soon be Gingerpaw.
It was very interesting how the tabby she-cat was more excited than Gingerkit that she was soon going to be an apprentice. And the feline had learned the importance of ¡°paw¡± for the suffix of your name. The happiness heated around her making her smile. Thank you StarClan. She looked up at the sky as if the spirit of her ancestors were replying. Then she closed her eyes and went into deep thought about her past and thefuturee she will face.

"Gingerpaw, mother! I'm an apprentice! Have you forgotten?" she meowed with pride as she squirmed out of the nursery. "Well, I guess I have to sleep in the apprentices' den now. But don't worry; I'll visit everyday!" meowed Gingerpaw, as she shook her fur and gave her mother a comforting lick. "You'll come out often, right?" She suddenly felt that she didn't want to become an apprentice. She wanted to, but leaving her mother was a big thing. Gingerpaw shook her head out of her thoughts and meowed, "I change my mind. I want to stay with you. I don't want to be an apprentice." She cuddled into the nursery and meowed, "I can stay, right?" Her amber eyes glowed as she tried to reach her mother's eyes. "Please?" begged Gingerpaw. She turned her face into her best kit-look face and snuggled in more and more into her mother. "Please?" begged Gingerpaw, once again. She knew her mother wasn't going to accept that, but it was worth a try. Gingerpaw looked down and sniffed the air. She was going to miss the scent of the nursery, if she left. But most of all, she would miss her mother horribly. What if rain comes? I'll need Stripedpelt to keep me safe! Then, something inside her, something very deep inside, seemed to meow, "No, Gingerpaw. You are making the wrong choice. Accept the fact that you will move to the apprentices' den." Then her thoughts came back. Who was talking to me? then she continued her thoughts. The voice is right. I must leave, and I won't regret it. She looked up and sighed, "Never mind, Stripedpelt. I was joking. Of course I have to go! If I didn't, who knows? Maybe I would turn into a kit again." A smile planted in her face as she stalked out of the den, and took a look at her mother. "I'll visit you often!" she meowed.

"Good Gingerpaw." She had been a little shocked when Gingerpaw had said that she didn't want to go but she felt a satisfaction flow into her when her kit changed her mind. The striped she-cat was very happy but also a little sad to see her kit leave. "Gingerpaw, I am not going to be here. I am going to be in the Warrior's den. Ok?" She spoke with a soft shaking voice. She was nervous. The feline's heart was beating fast and blood was flowing like a waterfall. Wanting to yowl, she just let a sigh out of her mouth. This wasn't pain she was facing, but satisfaction and a gratified feeling. She felt this sorrow heating her up. Seeing her kit slowly walking out.
Night was falling when she cuddled up in her nest to take a step into a deep sleep. The queen was feeling a bit weird with no company. She felt kind of... lonely. But her lonely feelings were chased away by the thoughts of Gingerpaw training hard and then receiving her warrior name. Gingerkit was now nothing but a memory.

"I'll remember that, Stripedpelt." Gingerpaw turned around and went to the apprentice's den. Everything seemed unfamiliar. But the thing that Gingerpaw wanted to do the most was sleeping. She was so excited about moving dens that she didn't sleep. I'll sleep, and then I'll explore this place. That'll work out... then she drifted on to sleep.
Gingerpaw jerked up. She could tell this was a dream, but still, she was in an unfamiliar place. Where am I? thought Gingerpaw as she stalked forward. There were many bushes. All of a sudden, a huge, bright thing was chasing her. This is chaos, thought Gingerpaw. What is happening? Gingerpaw woke up. Whew, that was close, she thought to herself, as she got up and sniffed the air. For one moment she was about to say, "Stripedpelt." then she shook her head lightly and mumbled to herself, "Stripedpelt is not with me. I have to cope with this." She thought about how the days were so slow when she was with her mother. Now, she could see bits of excitement as an apprentice. She could tell that she was going to experience alot of things.
