"Are you sure?" Rookfang stared up at her pure white leader, guilt written plainly on her face. Her eyes studied him as he continued speaking about the way she reacted. Nothing to be upset about? Well, if you say so, boss. Rookfang stood up, shook out her slightly damp pelt again, and flicked her leader's ear affectionately with a stringy tail."You leaders have weird ways of handling things."
Rookfang continued with a more serious look on her face, "You really are a wonderful leader, Cloudstar, no matter how much I tease you." She smiled, bouncing a few steps away to find she was not being followed. Glancing over at Rabbitheart and then her leader's face, she knew the dilemma. Of course, she'd rather eat a rotten bird than invite Rabbitheart along, but it was not her choice. She bounded back over to her leader, looking him straight in the eye. Her piercing yellow gaze tried to convey to him that she was okay with whatever he did with the third wheel, even though she'd rather not have him along.
Sighing inwardly, she stepped closer to Cloudstar to whisper, "Do whatever you feel is best, o' Noble One." [/center]

Rabbitheart glanced from Cloudstar to Rookfang. It was obvious that they were stuck on something...Probably whether or not to invite him on the patrol. On the one paw, he could be an annoyance to Rookfang. On the other, the patrol was work that for once, was avoidable.
Which part of his nature to fulfill?
He fought the urge not to flinch as Rookfang flirted with Cloudstar. Would he have to deal with that mousebile the whole time? That was definitely a deal breaker.
Rabbitheart stood and cleared his throat. "Well if that's all done, then I guess I'll just head back to camp and leave you two to your...'patrol'." The tom wiggled his eyebrows suggestively at the last word...Though he dare not actually say: 'Kay, I'll just leave you guys to your love fest'. Rabbitheart walked past them and up the path of the river, chuckling as if at some unheard joke.

OOC: Heronstep is not here. May doesn't want to play her. So it's just my short-tempered frosty gal. X3
The gray-and-white she-cat found Cloudstar before she expected to. She'd smelled Dappledflower and Mistystream leaving the territory a ways off, but figured it was unimportant in the shadow of the need to warn Cloudstar. She saw Rookfang and Rabbitheart with the white leader as she approached, and narrowed her deep green eyes. No matter. She'd just warn Cloudstar and go back to fetch her prey. "Cloudstar?" She said, as she stepped up to him, Rabbitheart, and Rookfang. "Two MeadowClan warriors chased a badger into our territory. Luckily they had the brains to warn us. I believe it went over in that direction." Frostfang flicked her tail northwest towards the Gathering place.

"You leaders have weird ways of handling things."
He snorted at the thought. The way Rookfang worded it sounded like leaders were a completely different animal. Cloudstar would've dealt with it the exact same way if he was just a warrior instead of leader. "Thank you for the compliment," he murmured, not following the pretty she-cat as she bounded away. His gaze flickered to Rabbitheart again, almost not catching Rookfang as she returned to his side.
"Do whatever you feel is best, o' Noble One."
Noble One. That was new. Cloudstar cleared his throat softly, turning to invite Rabbitheart along on their patrol before the brown tom spoke up. Every word that came out of the warrior's mouth made Cloudstar feel more than a little uncomfortable, like the tom was hinting at something. And as the tom walked away chuckling, Cloudstar wondered if there was "something".
At least they were alone now. Perhaps hunting with Rookfang again would sort out his thoughts.
"Two MeadowClan warriors chased a badger into our territory. Luckily they had the brains to warn us. I believe it went over in that direction."
His head raised and Cloudstar looked at the sky, almost as if saying 'Why, StarClan? Why?' before he turned to face Frostfang, keeping his cool. "A badger?" He repeated, tail flicking in worry. A badger would not be good for his clan. It would have to be driven out immediately-- meaning now. "StarClan..." He shook his head, looking in the direction that Frostfang had pointed out before turning back to the she-cats. "We need to chase it out then."

Frostfang nodded. "Yes. Shall Rookfang and I go after it? Or should I go fetch more warriors from camp?" She shifted her paws restlessly. Personally, she would've rather gone alone, but she knew even she couldn't drive a badger out without help. She'd seen how bad Stormclaw had looked at the border, and he'd had Tigertail to help him, so what chance did only she have? She cocked her head, waiting for the white tom's answer.
