Dapplestorm dropped into a crouching position, make her annoyance with the apprentice clear. She glared after Spottedpaw and snorted as the little cat managed to catch something. She caught a new scent in the air, and looked up to see Cinderheart. She sighed as the other she-cat suggested hunting with them. Dapplestorm abandoned all hope of getting some alone time. "Sure," she meowed, trying to sound more okay with it than she really felt. It didn't help that she didn't even look at Cinderheart when she said it, hopefully she wouldn't take it the wrong way. Dapplestorm was independent, but she still loved living in a Clan, despite not being around much. At least she still made a good contribution by hunting around the clock, if she wasn’t asked to go on a border patrol or something. She found she hunted better by herself, without the distraction of others. But it what could she do? Say no to Cinderheart? Or tell Spottedpaw to buzz off, and risk losing friends? Well, she thought, I guess it wouldn’t hurt to be social for once.
Dapplestorm turned toward another new-comer. “Stripedpelt?” she meowed, a little surprised at her sudden appearance, not knowing that the striped cat was prowling about nearby only moments before. She narrowed her eyes as the striped she-cat asked her question. Helping Spottedpaw with her training? Dapplestorm cast a glance over to the young cat. Hardly, she thought bitterly. “Not really,” she replied to Stripedpelt, more softly than intended. She guessed that the other she-cat was wondering where Spottedpaw’s mentor was. Dapplestorm wished she knew, then she could leave the troublesome apprentice with her mentor and be off, possibly hunting with the two warriors. Anyone who knew Dapplestorm well would not be surprised that she would rather hunt with warriors than apprentices.
ooc; Sorry I took so long, I was procrastinating ><

"Well, I just came not so long ago, you know, and we were just about to go hunting now. Why, do you want to join?" asked Cinderheart to Stripedpelt. Good. Now we've got lots of cats going along with me. This should be fun. But Dapplestorm wasn't feeling as good as Cinderheart. She could just tell by her reaction. She sat down to wait for the conversation to go on. I have to be patient, or else these cats might storm off saying that they don't want to hunt with impatient cats, thought Cinderheart, so she just sat and waited. Her green eyes glowed in the broad daylight, and her whiskers twitched with excitement. She never really went out with this many cats before. She wasn't that experienced. Then a troubling thought came into Cinderheart's mind. Was Spottedpaw agreeing to this idea? Was she happy about this? What if she wasn't? Those three thoughts spun in her head. Urgently, she meowed to Spottedpaw, "How about you, Spottedpaw? Do you want to go on this trip, too?" She hoped Spottedpaw would agree. If she didn't, this whole plan was destroyed. Her thoughts shattered away to negative thoughts, for she never really wanted to force anyone to come along with her. She was just hoping that.
Her thoughts drifted on, getting more and more negative, until she shook her head and went back to real life. Think positive, Cinderheart. Think positive, thought Cinderheart as she waited for an answer.

Dapplestorm's murmured words never reached Spottedpaw's ears, but Cinderheart's certainly did. The apprentice was just opening her mouth to greet Stripedpelt and her, so she was rather startled when the gray she-cat spoke to her so... hey, was that urgency in her voice? Why would anyone feel rushed at a time like this? Unless Cinderheart was anxious to get moving and wanted everyone to feel like hunting too. "Yeah, sure, I'm fine!" she meowed breezily, waving her tail. She glanced at Dapplestorm. "Is this an unofficial hunting patrol?" A teasing note entered her mew, as if the calico wanted her to lighten up a little.
She ducked her head and snatched up her prey, the tail dangling from her jaws as though she was half-way through swallowing it whole. "Well, what're y'all waiting for? There's gonna be more prey more far away from here, you know."

Stripedpelt glanced at Spottedpaw showing that she didn't receive any greetings from her. "Sure. Let's go, Spottedpaw if your going to be that insistant." The tabby feline actually enjoyed putting in a few teasing words. Not waiting for anyone just walked forward. The sun was giving it's heat onto the striped pelt. She must have looked like an starclan cat. Taking in a deep breath her nose were sniffing on a prey. It was near but not so close they she could get it at the moment. Sheesh. She thought. She didn't want to see herself coming back to camp without any prey in her mouth.

Dapplestorm turned to face Cinderheart, and studied the troubled she-cat. She didn’t know Cinderheart well, so she didn’t know what to expect or anything. Then again, Dapplestorm didn’t know many cats in her Clan at all. She had difficulty remembering names sometimes, and she often missed Clan meetings and ceremonies. This sparked even more annoyance as she thought of this. No one ever told her anything. Dapplestorm watched the young apprentice bound off, with no fondness whatsoever. She couldn’t remember being that hyper and eager as a kit. But then, her kit-hood wasn’t very normal. Pushing these memories away, Dapplestorm focused once more on the present. She stood up straight and padded after Stripedpelt and Spottedpaw. She looked back at Cinderheart, sitting there by herself. “Er… you coming Cinderheart?” she mewed over her shoulder. Dapplestorm was the only one who seemed to be willing to wait for her.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world," replied Cinderheart as she leaped to her paws to follow the small crowd. Yes! We're going hunting, thought Cinderheart, her heart beating of excitement. She stalked around the group, and thought, where will we go? She just hoped that they wouldn't go any place too wet. She didn't really mind, but she sure didn't like wet places. She preferred dry places. Still, Cinderheart was satisfied with the fact that Spottedpaw, Dapplestorm, and Stripedpelt agreed to go hunting. This is a chance to make new friends, thought Cinderheart, trying to think of something to say. She didn't really have anything to say, though, and she thought that the hunting party was going to be boring if there were no words. "Well, the weather is nice, and the sky is clear," remarked Cinderheart, hoping that someone else would start another interesting subject to chatter about.

Stripedpelt actually thought that Cinderheart was day dreaming. Just saying random stuffs? It was pretty funny but she got the message. The gray feline wanted a fun conversation instead of long silence."Sure is." She agreed. Then her head turned to Dapplestorm. "So, Dapplestorm, where'd you wanna go?" The tabby asked. Trying to keep up with the apprentice's personality, she asked Spottedpaw too. "Spottedpaw, have any suggestions?" The she-cat actually enjoyed the company. But there was a piece of feeling that thought that she wasn't really a part of this group. She felt like....waste. There wasn't any evidence to support this statement but still is was hanging there.

"Ovah' theh'," she replied immediately, her voice muffled, swiveling her fluffy ears in the direction where she could almost swear there were birds whistling and mice squeaking. Almost. It wasn't as if anyone could hear something so slight with all the chatter going around. And warriors thought that apprentices were noisy! To show that she was still there, she skipped away and meowed cheerfully, "An' it's off ta wo'k we go, huzzah!" The calico yawned widely and continued to flounce forward, barely waiting for the others.
However, Spottedpaw's attempt at hunting quietly, efficiently, and overall being the perfect huntress was soon beginning to fail. She scented a thrush (which was hanging from her mouth), a mouse (which smelled as if it had died of sickness for days) and a squirrel (which probably was the only healthy piece of prey that her nose could detect). The apprentice glanced over her shoulder at the other she-cats. "I've found one! It's a squirrel! And are you coming or not, huh? 'Cause I'm not waiting if you keep talking all day long! All the fresh-kill's probably gone by now, don't you know that?"

Dapplestorm kept a calm expression as she trotted alongside her new friends, looking for food for the Clan that she (usually)loved. She listened to Cinderheart talk about the weather. She was obviously trying to think about something to talk about. Dapplestorm could think of nothing else, so she simply stayed quiet. She looked back at Stripedpelt, who asked where she wanted to go. She was about to suggest going to the river to fish, but was stopped by a seemingly determined Spottedpaw before she could even open her mouth. Dapplestorm frowned. Clearly she wasn’t going to have a say in any of this hunting business, despite the fact that she was pretty much the leader of the small hunting party. Dapplestorm grunted. “Why don’t you go get that? I’ll look somewhere else,” she called in response, and made sure to let the others know. And that she did. Dapplestorm veered away from the group, going in the direction of the river. Dapplestorm wanted fish, and she was determined to do some fishing today.
The running water came into view, faster than Dapplestorm expected. She must have zoned out for a few moment, because she knew this territory by heart, and it was definitely not that close. She stopped at the edge of the river. Her green eyes spied fish, and her mouth watered. She licked her lips, and crouched down. She watched the water, and waited patiently for a fish to come into reach. Dapplestorm finally saw her chance. She lashed her paw out, all claws slayed and unsheathed. Her white paw met the water, her claws sinking into the slipper scales of her dinner. She scooped the fish up out of the water, and threw it skillfully onto the shore. She killed it quickly to prevent it from suffocating. Dapplestorm did not like seeing anything suffer, not even her food. Not bothering to see if any of the party had followed her, she returned her emerald green gaze to the water, in hopes of another success.
