IT'S THE NEW YEAR ~ (1.1.2010)

Happy New Year, FoFers. :D I hope all of y'all had a wonderful time at your parties last night/this morning. And (if we're lucky), none of you are suffering from sleep deprivation headaches or hangovers like your lovely, hypocritical admin. Bringing in the New Year is always a fun thing to do, especially so considering all the time zones here at FoF. Rolo was greeting 2010 before most of us even tuned in for the New Years Celebrations on the 'tube. xD

So, in celebration of the New Year, FoF went under some serious changes. Of course, you can't see most of them! They're just admin things that probably will never concern you. Much. But there are still plenty of things concerning you members. That's what this update is for, of course.

First thing, there's a nice OOC thread for your New Years Resolutions! A sort of way to get to know your fellow FoFers a little better. See what the want to get done for the New Year, how the felt about 2009, the new decade, and their hopes and expectations.

We also have a thing called the Notification Thread. When you've finished a cat, seriously updated a cat, or finished making revisions, you post there to let the staff know, that way we can check it out.

FoF also has a new advertisement. Please read the advertising guide before you actually go out and advertise us. And make sure we haven't already advertised their before!

By now all the members who did not post on the activity check (certain new members not included – don't worry!) have been deleted, and their cats moved into the inactive cats section. By the end of today the sidebars, taken names list, and rosters will all have been updating accordingly. A lot of prefixes in clans have opened up because of this, so nab those while you have the chance! We'd like to remind people that there is a 20 cat limit here at Forest of Fate, though we recommend you have no more than 10 if you are not very active.

Concerning IC news, the Mistpelt plot is finally moving off. Owlstar will be getting the boot soon, so your last chance to get in on that plot is coming up! Create a cat, role play with believers or followers, and get them sided with one of them. Remember, Owlstar followers and limited, as is Mistpelt council. But there is always room for cats who will rebel and cats who are dedicated to StarClan and Mistpelt. See the FogClan plot thread for all the details.

Three out of the four clans have had kits by now, the most recent being Dappledflower of MeadowClan. StreamClan, though, is without kits, and is rather inactive. To get that moving we'd like a mated pair to have kits sooner or later, and preferably sooner. :3 If you have a cat you think could work as a birthing queen, go ahead and PM Crow about it.

Like always, apprentices are reaching that age when warriorhood should be thought of. With the exception of Willowpaw, Blackpaw, Cedarpaw, and Frostpaw, if you have an apprentice you think is at warrior age (at least eleven moons), post them here as well as a link and their clan/mentor.

The gathering is going to end very soon. At this point, you can officially age your characters. Remember you do not age your character per month, but rather, per gathering, when the staff tell you. Apprentices and kits may get one moon. Warriors, Queens, Deputies, Medicine Cats, and Leaders can be aged 1-3 moons, just be smart about how much you're adding. Elders may also gain one moon. Rogues, Loners, and Kittypets can have 1-5 moons.

Now, if you haven't noticed, the rankings here are rather inactive. Don't worry, we the staff have been working on that – we promise! In fact, all of the inactive rankings have been taken care of by now. The list below shows the cats who needed change and how the change was taken.

Head Medicine Cat – Lynxpelt, congratulations to Prowl!
Medicine Cat – Redclaw, congratulations to Paije!
Medicine Cat apprentice – Littlepaw, as Sabor has returned.

FogClan
Nothing. FogClan is so active.

StreamClan
Stormflower- Pie, sadly, had to leave. But a friend has taken over her cats, and hopefully that includes Stormflower.
Bluepaw – Inactive apprentice now, position open.

MeadowClan
Cedarstar – temporarily played by Cloudie, but we'd like to offer the full position. Marry me? xD Accept? :3
Bramblefang – Will die IC (in character), and Cedarstar will pick the new deputy.
Icetail – Inactive warrior now, position open.
Medicine Cat apprentice – Position will be decided in seven days. Hurry with those apps!

To sum it all up, the position of PineClan Deputy, StreamClan Medicine Cat apprentice, MeadowClan Medicine Cat, and MeadowClan medicine cat apprentice are all open!

On a last note, FoF's one year anniversary comes this February 9th! Can you believe it? Almost a year already. For both the FogClan plot and the anniversary, a new skin will be put up. It'll be on the darker side, as we've had mostly light skins. But if you have any ideas at all, post them here! Think of it as a collaborative effort! Fonts, images, quotes, sayings, designs – whatever! Just post your suggestions them here.
