Well, considering the old thread is dead and way the fudge too long, I made a new one! :D

So, how has everyone and their furry/feathery/scaly friends been? It'd be great if everyone posted updates on them and their dæmon. I'll start.

Well, Silviel and I are pretty much the same. I KNOW she hasn't settled yet, but she refuses to be anything other than a ferret for more than 30 seconds and anything else just doesn't look right. I read at the ferret analysis and some things about it do seem to fit (people complaining about you, can't be around stupid people, etc.) but other parts don't. And in terms of Silv's personality, she's been almost bipolar lately. For a while she was normal, then she was incredibly violent/blunt/obscene, then for a day or two she was really nice and now she's back to normal. Any thoughts?

Mmm, you want an update/description? What is there to say? Well, I'm a raven. You knew that. I still coax Cloud to do her homework/chores on a regular basis. You knew that, I think. I think you also knew that I often sit on Cloud's head. Or fly, if she's running. That's all, unless you have questions for me. Which I would be delighted to answer, of course.

Yes. In a minor name crisis at the moment. Jess or Pyro as I suppose you all refer to her as. What a silly name...

I happen to like it. The name Pyro.

Whatever. It's rude to interrupt. Now...Where was I? Ah, yes, a minor name crisis. Jess here, as I was saying, is starting to doubt my name. I admit, Rio is starting to feel like more of a filler name. Like it was the first thing that came to our minds and we grabbed onto it because Jess felt awkward speaking to something without a name. And, admittedly, I didn't want to be without a name myself. I suppose the true name will come along in time. But I bet it would come faster if Jess didn't take all the good names for her characters. e.e

I'm almost sixteen? Which means I'm almost seventeen? And you still haven't settled?

It seems like every time he seems like he's going to settle, he up and picks another form.

Maybe you should stop being like so many animals.

You know that's not the reason. e.e He's unsettled, but he his process is a little slower. He doesn't constantly change. He takes on a form for at least a week, maybe even a month or more and then just one day says, no, I don't think you're blah animal and picks something else. All the forms he's chosen I share qualities with. And every time he picks a new form I go and read the analysis and am all, dude, this is me. And then when he changes, I go back and it's like...wait. No it's not. I guess he keeps false settling or something because I feel like he should be settled...but he's not ready? So he-

I prefer to take things slower. Besides. Constantly changing forms gets tiring. It's nice to just travel in a single form for a while. I can get the feel for it better that way. And one of the reasons I keep 'false settling' as I say, is that she's not quite sure of aspects of her person. She thinks that when she goes to college she'll be nothing like how she is when she is in school. -snorts- School. I praise adults for giving you children an education, but the environment is so counter-productive in the 'finding your true self' department. Or at least, Jess's school is. I get worried sometimes she might actually turn out shy and reclusive. Stupid false identities.

Yes, and then she goes and makes plans to dress up like some crazy loon and I question those worries. e.e

Uhm, anyway, he's been a Brown Hyena, Red Panda, Genet, Red Panda again, Tanuki, Reindeer, Red Fox (silver morph), and now he's a Puma.

Well, Lyrca and I are still getting along fine. She's still a lot meaner--
more truthful!
--than I am, and she's actually been settled this whole time. I was having issues earlier with her switching forms because I was having difficulty imagining a fully-grown, albeit female, tiger in a small setting, and so was trying to downsize her....and basically forcing myself to imagine her as something different. She's definitely settled as a tiger, and a Caspian one

That how it is with Rio and I. It may be because during classes there's not a whole lot to talk about, other than them being boring.

And of course there are times when I do not wish to distract her.
