[Whiskers]

Hello my friends, this is Whiskers coming to you live from the Update board...

Recently, Crow, our head admin here, has decided to take a short leave from the site. While he will still be lurking about some of the time, and taking part in roleplays, he will be, for the most part, absent. The length of this absent is unknown, but he will be back whenever he is ready to and until then, FoF will carry on, as Crow would want us to.

On another related note, Rolo has also decided to take a semi-admin break for her own personal reasons. What does this mean exactly? She'll still be on, she'll still be doing her duties, but not as often. You can still PM her if you want to ask any questions, just do not expect to see her as often.

But do not worry; FoF will be absolutely fine and it will remain active. We will still be checking cats, looking over the plot, and of course, roleplaying shall go on. Only a few events will be stalled until the return of Crow and Rolo, including the ~OTMs and the search for our new Bio Mod.

But the plot will continue. We are currently on the very last stretch for the Takeover thread; Owlstar will be getting kicked out very, very soon! This means this is your last chance to post an application on the plot board, so do it now and make sure you get involved!

Concerning cat applications... if you want your cat checked over by an admin, you must use the notification thread. We're serious, y'all. If you don't post on that thread, no one is looking at your cat. We don't care if you ask us on the c-box, we don't care if you PM us. So, use the notification thread, or else. :3 Here's the link:

And FINALLY, I'm going to be addressing the recent c-box altercations. People have been arguing a lot recently, and it looks like you guys need a refresher in the rules-- which can be found here. There is also a summarized version to the right of the actual cbox, in case you were wondering.

Now, adding to the rules, I wanna say this: We are all family here. Every single member, no matter how new, is to be respected and treated kindly. We seem to have a problem with being considerate of others and their feelings, and that has got to change. We must realize that everyone comes on FoF for a different reason-- some to let loose and unwind, others to escape the troubles they are facing at school or at home. These different reasons can clash, and people can upset others without even realizing it.

So, let's all give a little. Next time someone comes on and they want to vent, let them.

Next time someone is looking for advice, do your best to help them. If you can't, tell them that and wish them good luck.

Next time someone is trying to have fun, don't ruin it for them.

You can see how all these different issues can clash-- someone upset who just wants someone to listen can annoy someone who is just trying to make a joke. But it's all about giving and taking, guys. Both parties must be willing to give some of their time to the other, and expect the other party to do the same. And if a problem arises, take it off the cbox immediately. If you argue on the cbox, more people will get involved than necessary.
