((This thread is for those cats who have been given a punishment by a council member or Miststar. It is purely an official thread and should be used for confessions/other punishments and for reactions by other cats to confessions.
Here’s how things happen.
- Every Friday a new ‘Clan meeting’ begins. An admin will post on the thread with an OOC message closing the old meeting and opening the new one straight at the same time.
- Each meeting is treated as an individual thing. Imagine it as being a once-a-week meeting, where all the cats receive their punishments before the clan.
- It is advisable to post that your cat is waiting their turn, standing near high rock, to be punished. Please only start your punishment after the last cat has stepped away from High Rock.
- Cats who have been given a punishment (on another thread) step forward beneath Highrock to carry out/receive their punishment. There are notes below on how each one is rped.
- Other cats may post to taunt, bully or mock the ‘sinful’ and congratulate those who have received their punishment on their new ‘cleanliness’. Please, if you wish to do this, only do the maximum of 3 posts. If you want a full reaction/ character development thread, start a new one.
- Once that particular meeting is ‘finished’, feel free to withdraw your cat. You only need make your cat attend when you want to or if they are receiving a punishment. Joining this as an observer is not mandatory.
- The boards run on liquid time, so feel free to post things that happened weeks ago or out of order with your other cat events.
- Owners of punished cats may 'Powerplay' the crowd to produce reactions and mood in their posts. Please, however, mention no /actual/ names unless the owner of that cat has given you permission.
- If needed, double posting is accepted.
Particular punishments.
The only punishment available right now is Public confession.
Public Confession:
- This punishment does not require any other cats to carry it out, it is all performed by the punished cat rper.
- The ‘Sinful’ cat steps forward and sits beneath high rock. Observers may taunt and mock the cat as they sit there.
- Sinful will then tell the clan what they have done and why they are being punished. E.g ‘I confess that I have taken fresh-kill from the pile when it is not my turn. I have sinned because the warrior code says that we must feed the clan before ourselves and Starclan has deemed that apprentices must eat last, as the most unpure of the clan.
- They must then ask for forgiveness from Starclan and Fogclan, ‘I know that I have sinned and I plea forgiveness from my fellow Fogclanners and Starclan.’
- The observers then forgive the cat, stating that ‘Starclan has cleansed them of their sins’ and they are not allowed to speak of the offence again. They may congratulate or offer encouragement to those who have confessed.
- This cat then moves away from Highrock and joins the observers.
- The next clan then steps up and the process begins again.
