Were his ears decieving him? Had this apprentice - his apprentice - just said hi? To some the gray warrior's thoughts might have seemed a bit ridiculous, getting excited over an apprentice saying hi, but to him it was big deal. Especially since pretty much every greeting she'd ever spoken to him started with cynicism or contempt, and right now he detected neither in her mew, a rarity. Stormclaw almost felt he didn't want to turn around, as though the mere act of facing the brown tabby would undo her politeness.
But he did, slowly moving on his long limbs, thin tail waving slightly. His green eyes lingered for a moment on Sparrowpaw before he politely dropped his gaze, looking away. "Hi, Sparrowpaw." He said in a friendly voice.
Now what? Should he bring up a topic of conversation, or keep quiet? He didn't know what might or might not offend her. The Russian Blue didn't know, so when in doubt keep silent and do the honorable thing, which was to dip his head quickly to the little she-cat, hoping she might speak. Perhaps they would hunt, or –was this merely all a trick? He found himself suddenly suspicious. Was she only pretending to be nice in hope of laughing at him once more? Stormclaw, you fool, he scorned himself silently. Try to believe the best of her, even if it’s hard, old chap.

Sparrowpaw forced up a plastic grin. She was lost for words and it'd take her a whole night to find one. Her mind was blank and wished she just dissapeared. She blushed as Stormclaw had a a surprised face. Goodness, badness, Sparrowpaw! What do you think you are doing? Your only putting yourself in a 'fuzzy' situation. Just can't wait to see your next reaction. Just don't tell me that you're going to say 'Shall we go back to camp together?' Sparrowpaw's inner mind spoke with sarcasm in it's voice. Sparrowpaw self-pity and hissed at herself for her miserable reaction. The only thing that was left in her empty mouth was a sigh. She stared at Stormclaw as she waited for him to say something. [[ooc; sorry if this is too short for you... I was lost my muse.. x( The plot is getting a little awkward... do you want some kinda action scene? like... I dunno..]]

OOC: XD It's fine. You're doing great, Topaz, and my posts aren't masterpieces themselves. We'll just see what happens.
Well, he decided, you never know if you never try. I must do something, the bluish warrior knew. Yes, but what can I do that I can be sure about? He shifted from paw to paw as he thought. Maybe I'll just...offer her some options and see what she thinks, yes? Hopefully she won't be able to make some joke out of that. He prayed to StarClan that his apprentice would just go along with suggestions, though a dark bit of him muttered that if she did she wouldn't be Sparrowpaw.
In a normal, friendly voice, he meowed,
"Would you prefer to hunt or train, Sparrowpaw?"
Stormclaw winced inwardly. Was that really the best he could do? It sounded like the MeadowClan tom was only giving her two choices. Of course, to any ordinary apprentice that would be fine. But with the green-eyed she-cat...who knew what she'd do? Would she demand to do something else? Would she laugh? Would she refuse him?
Would, would, would. Try believing in her better nature, Stormclaw. You are a gentleman, and gentlemen do not assume ladies are plotting evil things. Or worry about what they might do. As long I as act with honor and patience, surely I'll be all right, he thought anxiously.
However, part of him snorted at this. He tried to stifle it.
