Icetail was in a bad mood.
She just couldn't deal with it all anymore. The whining and the snappy retorts. She didn't mind helping and healing her clanmates, that was her job after all, but she just couldn't stand the casual way that they used her. Oh Icetail, make my paw stop hurting. Stop these aching joints. They could at least ask politely once in a while. But no, of course not.
Icetail knew it wasn't just the occasional ingratitude that was messing with her, she was hungry, as she hadn't eaten since the morning, and it was colder than usual, and her fur was not up to the chill just yet.
I have to get out of here.
She heaved herself up, and trotted quickly out of her den. She had to go hunting to get rid of her mood. When she passed one of her clanmates, she stared straight ahead, as if she hadn't noticed them. Her pace quickened until she was in a slow run, the instant she was out of sight of the camp, slowed again, opening her senses to the territory that was her home. It would undoubtedly take a few hours to catch anything, and that was alright with her, she wanted to stay out as long as possible. She had no room in her mind for conversation at the moment.
