Howl walked a long a border. He wasn't sure which one it was- stupid Clan cats. They were giving rouges an idea. Maybe it was just a stupid kit. They never had much sense and he'd always hated kits. Those stupid whining wailing dumb kits. They'd never had much sense...
Howl knew there was other rouges around. They were usually very hostile to him and even the few that weren't he was never friends with. Friends are for the weak. Alone, you're stronger and know what to do without waiting on anyone else. Though, he could send another lone cat out to do what he had to do. You can only use kits for that kind of stuff, he thought, a wicked smile playing across his face.

It had been a while since Red had paid any attention to anything other than the ranch. Unlike his usual self, the dark ginger tom cat had spent almost all of his time in the past few days huddled up in the two-leg building, speaking with other cats and generally enjoying himself more than he should. Speaking to other cats was not Red’s ideal fun unless he was using them for his benefit, which he hadn’t been.
So Red had decided to perhaps pay a visit to the clan cats today. Maybe he would get lucky and bump into a patrol that held his nephew in it. He hadn’t seen Sam – escuse me, Jaypaw – in quite sometime. MeadowClan wouldn’t actually dare held back someone who wanted to see his kin, would they? Who knows, maybe this time he’ll get the guts to join.
”Hello there,” he said suddenly, noticing the black tom cat who stalked the MeadowClan border. ”Can I help you?”

"Not really," said Howl. He was lofty and had is head up high, but didn't sound mean. Just sort of rude. Then he thought about it. Which Clan to mess with today? He could never sort out their gadbingled scents. "Actually, perhaps you can help me. I'm not sure what stupid Clan this scent belongs too. Do you know?" Too many for Howl.
He wondered who th rouge was. Howl had never seen him before. The red tom was a stranger. Crap. He hated not knowing something (though his compossed face never showed he did). Perhaps this red cat knew. However, come of the rouges were more accepting of the Clans. He sat down, curling his tail, waiting for a response.

Oh bother, it seemed this cat was going to be rude, Red thought with a sneer. If that’s the way he wanted to play, though, Red would be happy to play along. So long as the black cat didn’t begin to pose a threat to himself. Or the clans—Red would never forgive himself if he let these clans fall apart because of a silly black cat.
Ears flattening a little, Red raised himself to his full height. ”MeadowClan. The… how should I put this? The only clan that’s not held back by stupid felines.” And is blessed with his own blood, but Red would never say that out loud. ”Do you have business with them, stranger?” Maybe he should ask for a name next time.

"No," said Howl, shaking his head. He puzzled over his self-sneer for a minute then decided to ignore it. For now. "Just wondering, like others, where they came from and why they're here and what gives them the right to take so much territory and... well you catch my drift." Howl wondered of his sneer again then continued. "There's four Clans, right? So much territory for only four Clans. What a waste." He sighed. "Anyway, what business do you have here? If it's a Clan territory, shouldn't you be away from it?"
((Sorry it's horibble...))

Red too was curious about the origins of the four clans that now took up this territory. He had a vague idea of them having to escape from their old home, but besides that he knew nothing about it. That, quite frankly, pissed him off. ”They defend it well. In my opinions, cats who worked so hard to protect their land are deserving of the land they protect.”
He chuckled a little to himself. Was he really going to bother telling this stranger why he was here? ”Perhaps you underestimate the size of each clan, stranger. Sometimes I wonder if their land is enough, it’s troubling to think they might want more someday.” He paused before speaking again. ”My nephew resides in MeadowClan, I thought it would be nice to pay him a visit.” [/blockquote]

Howl winced but said nothing on that matter. The rouge's son was barking mad to do a thing like that. Stupid kits. "Children always do seem to have silly ideas, don't they?" he said timidly, not wanting to upset the rouge. Perhaps he could extract a few lines of information from this fool. Then... well, Howlwould probably never see him again anyway. He fought to keep down a grin. It was succesful.
((Gah, no muse!))

He glanced curiously at the stranger; amber eyes alight with something even Red couldn’t put a paw on. ”Yes…” He mumbled, musing over the words this black cat spoke. It was true in a way; children always did silly things spawned from silly ideas. However, Red couldn’t bring himself to admitting joining the clans was silly.
”What is your name, stranger? I tire of referring to you as nothing more than ‘stranger’.” It irked him slightly not to know the black cat’s name. After all, this one tom knew more about him then most cats did. Which was saying something. [/size]

"My name?" he asked, trying to remember. No one often said his name, it usually took him a second or two to think it over. Smiling at the new rouge, he said, "Howl." He cocked his head, clearly suggesting that the red cat should speak his own name.
Howl say down, curling his bbrushy tail against his paws. Waiting. Just waiting.

”Howl? Interesting. Well, good to meet you, Howl.” He watched as the other tom sat down. Obviously he was supposed to give his name in return, but the dark ginger tom felt as though he had given out too much this time. Already Howl knew about his nephew, there really wasn’t a need to tell the black cat more… was there? Giving up his thoughts, Red smile coldly at the other. ”Red. My name is Red.” [/blockquote]
