Storkpaw looked down, embarrassed by the praise. Makings of a good medicine cat? No. No. No. He beat himself down with each no, thinking of all the reasons he wouldn't be a good medicine cat. He drifted off. He was too curst shy. He just...wasn't all that worthy. Sometimes he thought Badgernose was too nice to tell him. Ha. Badgernose too nice to tell a fool off. That was so rich he almost started giggling too himself...but he didn't. He knew that would make him seem all the weirder.
The ground seemed to want to soak him in. If only it could. Then it would be easier to get out of this awkward situation. Strokpaw shook his head. "No, I don't. Not really...I'll probably fail." He muttered into his scrawny chest.
In a sudden stroke of brilliance he realized he could go back to the medicine den anytime. Herbs to count...other things to mess up...With an apologetic nod he flew to the safety of the medicine cat den, safe from praise he didn't deserve and questions he didn't want to answer.

His blue eyes flickered between Storkpaw and Batkit. He could not see why she wanted to be anything like him. He could hardly talk, or was she really just interested in the herbs? His tail tip twitched as he ponder if there could even by three Medicine cats at one time. How can there be three medicine cats at once? It was in none of the stories I was told. There could be three, but why would a Clan need three was beyond him. He could see needing another cat with the knowledge of herbs is both Medicine Cats died, but is that not what StarClan is for? Are they not suppose to protect the clan in times of trouble?
His thoughts shattered as his name was called in greeting. He turned to see Mothkit, his adopted brother. Hawk-kit twitched his ears in greeting to him. "Nice to see you, Mothkit." He would have smiled for his brother, but at the moment he could not. His thoughts were still on his sister.
His eyes had not missed Batkit curling her lip at him, but he would fall to her level in-front of the Medicine cat apprentice. That was just not done. Instead he leaned closer to Batkit and hissed in her ear. "Stop actting so angry with the world in-front of Storkpaw. Is that what you want the Clan to think of us? A bunch of angry kits?" He was disgusted at Batkit's behavior.
His eye flashed as he caught sight of something green and his head turned towards his mother, or at least that is what he called her. She seemed to be trying distract them and it worked. Hawk-kit's eyes followed the piece of moss in Spiderstorm's claws. Champion? What is a champion? The word was new to him, but he did not really care. After all what kit could ignore a moss toy?
ooc! I tried.

Mothkit shirked away from his sister's negative actions toward him, ears sinking flatter each time she tried something nasty or did something he didn't like. She was so mean! And kind of snarky. Why couldn't she be nice? Nice was good. Mothkit was nice. Hawk-kit was nice. Storkpaw was nice. Spiderstorm was... not nice to everyone but she was his mommy so he thought she was very nice! It was nice of her to have him and Batkit... and to take care of Hawk-kit! So yes, Spiderstorm was nice (they all were) and Batkit wasn't which made her the outlier and... mean!
Mothkit's young mind was quite proud of how quickly he came to his conclusion. He didn't bother hiding the proud expression from his face, either, smiling like a ray of sunshine in foggy forest.
His head snapped to the side when the familiar floating sound of his mother's voice and his golden eyes went wide. Moss... Champion? Was that anything like leader! Mothkit didn't want to be leader but he liked moss and being the champion sounded pretty cool to him! But... Storkpaw might leave while he was playing, 'cause Storkpaw was a busy apprentice. So... go play with the moss and be the champion or hang out with Storkpaw a little more?
One glance at the leaving tom made up his mind. But, before the Medicine Cat apprentice disappeared, Mothkit took half a second to call after him. “You're gonna be great!” Hey, mentors said that to apprentices all the time, right? He wasn't a mentor but... Storkpaw looked like he could use some cheering up!
So, without a second more of hesitation, Mothkit locked his gaze on the moss, determined to beat his siblings.

BAT:KIT
Batkit stared at her brother with narrowed eyes, viscous thoughts on her mind. She would beat her brother at this game. She saw his gaze lock on the ball of moss, and with a yowl she dove for it, attacking the moss, and making herself the self proclaimed champion of the game of moss. After she showed off her Warrior skills to her brother, her teeth sunk deep into the moss, she stood up and grinned.
"My moss," she growled through the moss ball at her brother. Her large ears were pinned to the back of her head, and she was staring at him as if he were a real threat. This was her moss ball. Hers!
She saw the proud expression on his face, and she growled. What in StarClan was he so happy about? She aimed to take the expression off his face for good. First by crushing his hopes of beating her in a game of moss ball. It was hers.
Just let them try and take it from her.

OOC: So, this post is tying up this thread for good~
BIC: Spiderstorm sighed as her daughter looked ridiculously ferocious for a mere 4 moon old kit. But then, she was obsessed with beating her brother, StarClan knew why. She pondered for a moment if StarClan did know why, and then rejected it. If StarClan knew the definitive answers to anything they would've told her and spared her a lot of grief. But then, she was no medicine cat or leader; perhaps they couldn't talk to her.
Then again, the night-colored queen herself had never had siblings, so she didn't know what it felt like. Mothkit didn't seem annoying to her, but then again she was his mother and she loved him like she loved all her kits, even Stonekit and Dovekit who weren't hers and currently were being told a story by Kitewhisker.
Either way, she wondered whether to let Mothkit fend for himself or to tell Batkit to share. Did it really matter? Well, she supposed the good-mother thing to do was tell her daughter to be fair, but it was a game, after all and it would be interesting to see how her son handled himself. She could always interfere if she really needed to.
"Try and fight her, Mothkit" she suggested (if somewhat lamely) to her spotted brown son.
