bear.

Beliefs |
Bear doesn’t have a belief system. He relies strictly upon himself and no one else, and definitely not on glowing, starry cats whose existence cannot be proven in the first place. He doesn’t care to pray to anyone because he doesn’t believe that they can do anything really helpful in the real and physical world. Bear also does not believe that anything happens when you die. You don’t go into the sky or the “dark forest.” Your soul dies with your physical body and you cease to exist entirely. He believes that Clan cats have a weakness that they have to rely on starry cats for guidance and to know what to do next. He doesn't exactly know all of the facets of believing in StarClan and how Clan cats function with them (such as leaders and medicine cats only communicate with them. He thinks everyone tries to communicate with them), but his opinions, though a bit misguided, are not going to change and he will always see Clan cats as the weaker cat compared to other cats that do not believe in StarClan, such as other loners, rogues, and kittypets.

Appearance |
Just looking at Bear, he is not an overly intimidating cat. He is tall and rather stork-like, but he is not overly muscular or powerful. He isn’t twiggy or brittle. He has mass and muscle, but it isn’t excessive. Overall, Bear is anything but “bear-like.” His legs are long and sturdy, ending in paws that have five toes. Bear’s body is long and straight, ending in a long tail that has a kink in the tip that goes at an almost ninety degree angle. Bear has a long neck and generally narrow body, but he is also flexible and springy, though not as flexibly and wriggly as his sister.
Bear has a handsome face with Oriental lines that he shares with his sister, though they are not as strong in him as they are in her. His muzzle is long, so are his ears, though not exactly bat-like. He also has a few scars on his muzzle, though they are not overly large, just noticeable upon his nose and lips. His eyes are large and almond-shaped, slightly slanted. They are a deep amber-yellow color with a small tint of green in the center with his pupils.
Bear’s fur is short, but thick, and completely white. In the winter he looks quite a bit heavier with the amount of fur that thickens when it starts getting cold. His fur is sleek and rather soft, despite his rough and tumble life as a rogue. His fur hides his bones, though he is also not horribly underweight or anything of the sort. Overall, his thick fur mostly hides his true mass and form, especially in the winter.
Personality |
Bear is extremely calm and collected, but also rather deadpan with his facial expressions. However, despite how relaxed he seems on the outside, his mind is always going at a hundred miles an hour. He is always watching and analyzing things. Even when he seems like he’s napping, he is really still thinking about whatever comes to mind. This leads to many sleepless nights, without him really meaning it. Bear just thinks so much about everything that he cannot stop once he gets started.
Bear can come off as a charming and kind cat quite easily, but really he is manipulative and vengeful. He can hold a grudge for quite a long time and will do what he can to get the perfect revenge that he wants for you. Which is where his sister usually comes in. He uses her for different schemes that he comes up with, because he knows that she will do anything that he asks of her, no matter what, and without question. Bear is skeptical and untrusting of every cat that he comes in contact with, but he is not crazy with distrust, and will appear to be trusting, just to get on another cat’s good side, though he would never trust them with one of his whiskers.
Bear is a bit of an elitist. He thinks that he is better than nearly every cat he has ever met, especially Clan cats. He thinks that, since he lives on his own and doesn't rely on anyone to help take care of him, he is much stronger than any other cat that lives in a group. Of course, he lives with his sister, but he does not rely on her for his own survival like she relies on him. Really, he sees Fox as a bit of a chore to always have to worry about, but deep down, he has that familial bond with her and he cannot just leave her to die. Fox is really the only cat that he cares about and will take care of. She is his blood and he cannot abandon his blood.
Skills |
Bear is strong cat, though does not have an obscene amount of strength. His strength aids him in fighting and hunting, though his intelligence is also a large factor in these situations. Bear is extremely smart and analytical of situations. He won’t go into a fight if he feels like he can’t win it, even if it’s an “important” fight. Bear also has a high sense of self-preservation, which usually keeps him out of trouble. He doesn’t like to get severely wounded, or even slightly wounded, because it runs the risk of getting infected or eventually killing him. However, Bear’s intelligence makes him extremely proud and egotistical, which also gives him an unwavering confidence in himself that could even cause other cats to doubt themselves.
History |
Bear was born to a pair of rogues that lived together, with no real incident until he was about five moons old when Wolf came home one day with another little kit. The two of them were raised together as brother and sister, even though they had different mothers. At a young age, Wolf began his training with them with his teachings of cannibalism and how to hate Clan cats and everything that they stood for. Wolf trained his kits to spar and fight and would also bring wounded kittypets, loners, and even Clan cats, if he got the chance, for his kits to fight with and get a taste of cat meat. Wolf was harsh and cruel and if he chose a cat that was too strong for his kits to fight, he would wound them more or even kill them. Even from a young age, Bear never really bonded with Fox, though he recognized that she had something wrong with her before their father and did what he could to help her, just to keep the both of them out of trouble during their “training.” He did know her as his blood, though, and one of the main lessons that Wolf taught Bear and Fox was that you couldn't trust anyone but your blood relatives. However, when Wolf realized that Fox had irreversible psychological issues and that she could never be what he truly expected from the two of them, he went against his own teachings and wanted to leave her behind the next time they moved dens and just leave her to survive on her own. Bear wouldn’t stand for it, finding it overly cruel for the crazy she-cat. So when Wolf left, Bear stayed behind with Fox and they stayed in the same area that the Clans are currently in, where they still live together. It was during this time that Bear began meeting cats that he had problems with and when these cats came around looking for trouble, Fox was almost always the first one to spring into action to protect her brother. This sparked Bear's intelligent idea to use Fox in order to carry out his revenge against these cats that he had problems with.
