Beliefs |
Sparrowtail has developed her own belief system that is different from her Clanmates’ opinions that there just isn’t such a thing as StarClan. Sparrowtail is an agnostic. It is not just that she believes in something watching over every single cat, it is that you cannot know of, or understand, their existence. She believes that the power of any god-like deity can never be fully grasped by any earthly being. Sparrowtail has belief in their existence, but she does not think that anyone has ever truly conversed with the true core of cats that make StarClan who they truly are.
Though she does not outright dislike other cats or clans as a whole because of their beliefs, but based on her views, she thinks that cats to claim to know StarClan (the real StarClan, at least) are egotistical to claim that they know something that she finds to be impossible to know. She will be cordial to these cats, but not go beyond that, especially with FogClan. Though when it comes to Miststar, Sparrowtail won’t even go that far. She finds the new FogClan leader to be pompous and arrogant and that she really doesn’t know what she is doing, claiming to hear prophecies and whatnot, just to get power over the Clan, which she probably would have inherited anyway if she’d been patient.

Appearance |
Sparrowtail is an extremely beautiful and fierce-looking cat. She is taller than average and thinly framed, but is not what you would consider “delicate.” She is mostly made up of leg, though her neck also adds to her height. Her body is long and thin, but not necessarily “skinny.” Her body weight is normal, but her body is just not wide and can squeeze into small spaces quite easily. Aside from the general make up of her body, one of the most interesting features on Sparrowtail is her tail. Or lack of one. It is only a small little bob, that still has the ability to flick about, but there is one other factor to it that makes Sparrowtail all her own, just appearance-wise. There is a strange extra little… Part to it. It seems like her tail is split in half and where her “real” tail is, there is another part that actually give her two tails. However, it is not an obvious addition, the tip of her tail just looks extra fluffy.
Her head is long and just about as thin as the rest of her body. It is slightly elongated and triangular, with a long muzzle and long white whiskers. Her ears are tall and pointed. Her eyes are probably the fiercest aspect of her. They are large and slanted in a rather “foreign” sense and are a dark orange-amber color. They are just short of always even-tempered and almost indifferent, as if she could rake her claws across your face and not care in the slightest. They rarely show happiness or sadness or any other emotion other than indifference or anger.
Sparrowtail’s pelt is short and sleek, a hair is hardly out of place and she keeps it neat and free of dirt and stickers and other things that plague other cats. The base color is a rick, dark brown, but it is also obvious that she is a brown tabby. Her face is striped like any other tabby, but running down her neck, back, and over her tail is a thick, black dorsal stripe that is framed on either side by spots, rather than stripes. The only break in her coloring is a white patch on her chest, and four white paws, the white stretching further up her hind legs while the white stays centered on her front paws only.
Personality |
Being a very independent cat, Sparrowtail does not necessarily need anyone to keep her happy, however, she is also extremely loyal to her Clan and those of high ranks in her Clan. She is not what you would call “friendly,” but she is not entirely heartless and unsocial. She can come off as cold and indifferent to her Clanmates, which she usually is, but she really has just never formed a close bond with any other cat. She is really only concerned with herself and what she wants to do, which is be a good warrior. Sparrowtail throws herself into her chores and jobs as a warrior without a single complaint. All she really wants to do is be a warrior. Nothing more, nothing less.
However, her independence and want to do well can also cause her to have a pretty short fuse with cats that get in the way of her desires. It is not just her physical features that make her fierce, it is her temper and aggressiveness when she is fighting for what she thinks is right. In this sense, she can be extremely stubborn with her views and blind to anyone else’s, but she isn’t striving to become an understanding cat that sees every side of an argument. She “knows” that she is right in her own way and anyone against her is wrong. Most of the time she will avoid disagreements and arguments because she knows that they will always end badly, but she will also never apologize after an argument breaks out. She is far too proud and stubborn to admit that she was wrong (though she never considered herself wrong in the first place).
If she meets a cat that has opinions similar to hers, then she will be what you could call her form of friendliness. Sparrowtail will spend more time with that cat, but you can never expect her to share her secret feelings or thoughts with you. And you can also never expect any real advice from her, so don’t seek her opinion on sensitive issues because Sparrowtail is anything but sensitive, if you didn’t already have that idea about her.
Skills |
Sparrowtail doesn’t fight or argue very often, but when she does, she can be a fierce opponent, both physically and verbally. She is hardly compulsive. She is very put-together and intelligent, always thinking things through before acting on it. Sparrowtail doesn’t barrel into situations without analyzing her chances of success or failure first. She is not what you would call a “hero.” If a clanmate or other cat were in trouble, she wouldn’t move a whisker to help them if she felt she wouldn’t make it out as close to unscathed as possible. Sparrowtail is independent and functions very well on her own and away from her Clan, however she also takes orders well from other cats and will work in groups, whether hunting parties, patrols, or otherwise. However, depending on the cats that she is with, she will either try to be the boss of the group and order cats around or keep her mouth shut and just do whatever is expected of her.
Sparrowtail is a very skilled hunter when on the ground, however, if the prey is up in a tree she is hardly capable of the balance required to actually catch anything. In reality, Sparrowtail is just generally bad at climbing, due to her lack of a tail. However, on the ground she is extremely agile and light on her paws, relying on her long legs and smaller paws to allow her to turn on a dime.
History |
Sparrowtail was born the oldest of two kits to a pair of loners-turned Clan cats. Her parents had joined PineClan when they heard of all of the Clans’ creation in the area and felt it was the best fit for them and their family. Life as a kit was easy and simple for both Sparrowtail and her sister, Mottledstream. Both of their parents cared for them very well and they grew up well among the other kits that were born around the same time, however, the family was still rather distant from each other, which then transmitted into them being somewhat distant from the rest of their Clanmates. The family was just close enough to be able to talk to each other about different issues that they might have, but usually they just always dealt with things on their own. The two sisters became apprentices at the correct age and trained under their mentors well. The pair of sisters were probably the closest to each other over anyone else and always got along. They were probably the closest things to friends that either of them had. However, when their warrior’s ceremony came about, the two began to go their separate ways, each desiring to do different things. Sparrowtail was following the path of the warrior whereas Mottledstream settled down with a mate and began having kits, choosing to be a queen over a warrior. Sparrowtail was a little disappointed that she wouldn’t be able to spend as much time together and that her sister wasn't following the path that she thought was the way to get the most honor. She was also accepting of her sister's choice and in order to fill the void of where her sister had been, she threw herself into her job and responsibility, hardly thinking about Mottledstream in the elder's den between running around camp with all of the different duties and responsibilities that she takes on.

Sparrowtail's history should definitely be expanded. How did the family's distance with each other transform into a distance from even clanmates? Why were they so distant in the first place if they were traveling with each other? How did this affect Sparrowtail? How did Sparrowtail develop such a work ethic? Did she want to make up for her sister or did Sparrowtail not want to succumb to the temptation of following the 'easy' life of a queen?
