Appearance |
Sootstep is a medium length haired white she-cat with a black masked face. She has a more squared looking face, with large ears and a black nose to accompany her light yellow eyes. She has a lithe body, with a masculine hint to her frame. She has a fairly average medium to her, for a feral cat. Sootstep has a few random spotted markings on her body, and she has one black tipped toe on her left front paw. She seems to almost blend into the rocks when the world is white and cold.
Personality |
Sootstep has a hunter-type of personality. She is very quiet and alluring. Sootstep enjoys to stay in the background, watching more than doing. She is a she-cat that will get into squabbles, to defend herself or StarClan's ideas, but if it has nothing to do with them or herself, she will leave the other offending cats alone. Sootstep does not like to take part in Clan activities such a gatherings and meetings with the Clan Leader, although she feels obliged to since she is the Medicine Cat. She can also be somewhat of a snob when it comes to kits, since she does not like them, but again, she will do her best as a Medicine Cat to make StarClan happy and to please her Clan. Sootstep likes to have friends, however, only those who are like-minded of her. Sootstep is not very proud of her Clan, or the idea of Clans. She has very strong beliefs in the politics of the Clans and also in religion. She believes that there is a StarClan, without a doubt, and will challenge any cat who goes against her. Sootstep is a fairly aggressive cat, but she also makes a fairly good Medicine Cat who knows what she is doing.
Skills | Sootstep is very good at what she does. Sootstep is very quite in her paw-work, and can smell things out very easily. Sootstep has a fairy easy time with sneaking around the camp at night to go and gather herbs and other medicinal things.
History |
Sootstep's life as a kit went by normally, and as she got to apprenticeship, things got harder for her. Sootstep had grown up with a twin brother, named Featherpaw. Featherpaw was a very adventurous cat, and had always wandered off, and always caused the Clan problems. One day, Featherpaw did not show up. Sootpaw became worried, and asked the leader to send out a group to help find him. The leader sent out a half hearted search group and they returned later that day, with nothing. The leader said that he must have run off again to start an adventure of his own... or got captured, but Sootpaw didn't believe it. She thought that her brother was dead, and as she knows it, he is dead. Sootpaw became bitter towards the high members of her Clan, and vowed never to have kits.
Sootstep believed that her only real family (the Clan) had abandoned her and her brother. Sootstep turned that energy into power for when she was training. She told herself that she had to be good enough for herself and her twin. Her mentor was an older cat, and did not give her a hard time about the struggle she went through as she mouthed off to him.
As she graduated to Medicine Cat, Sootstep became a feisty new Medicine Cat. As Sootstep aged, she figured out the meaning of being in a Clan. After she turned away her bitterness of losing her brother, and began to learn more from her on-going mentor, she accepted the Clan more heartily. She now channels her energy into being the cat that her brother would have been proud to know.
