This is a new system we're trying out.
One thing we've become aware of is how difficult it is for members, particularly new ones or ones who don't use the c-box, to find rp partners without making an open thread or a board on Cat Central that may or may not be seen. It's all fine for those on the c-box, it's easy enough to go 'Hey I fancy rping ____, any takers?' but outside the c-box, finding an interesting rp situation tends to be quite laborious. It's not only hard to get people to view your topic, but it's difficult to see what is already on offer. Therefore, here is a new system we're trialling to see if we can make this process a little easier.
Unfortunately, grasping the system takes a little bit of work, but bare with us. I'll post some clear examples so you can see what I mean.
There are 2 types of form:
Relationship needed – This is a documentation of a thread you must have already made in the Cat Central area. This is for mentors/apprentices/mates/friends. So, in other words, it's like an advertisement for the thread on whatever you require. Posting here only is not allowed, as you need a thread on which to collect replies. Why is this useful? This way people don't need to rifle through the cat central boards individually as information can be seen at a glance.
Character needed – This is an advertisement for rp threads already in process or future ones. For example, you have an rp you are doing with 2 cats, and you feel like you need another cat in there to break the ice. Here, you could post an advertisement asking for one cat and that way you don't have to go round asking people individually. This is designed to help people get involved in established rps or build up relationships while helping everyone rp with people they may not have rped with before.
Form explanation:
Relationship(s) needed!
Cat required: (this concerns what you want in the cat you are searching for)
Wanted – Mentor/Apprentice/Mate/Friend/Enemy/Rp partner(the term for 'let's put 2 cats together and see what happens!). What relationship do you want?
Clan – Fog/Stream/Pine/Meadow/Loner/Kittypet
Rank – Kit/Apprentice/Warrior/Deputy/Leader/Loner/Kittypet The rank of cat you want to rp with. This can be left blank.
Notes – Anything else you want? You can put things about temperament and the like in here.

Ask to join? - Yes/No If you mark this as yes, people are required to ask you if they can join. If you mark this as no, people may join without consulting you and simply leap into the RP.
Contact me – Through the thread/Through planning thread/ PM [member name]
Planning thread – Optional. Delete entry if N/A
Thread – If the rp has already been made. If not, feel free to delete this entry.
Joinee requirements:
Amount of cats needed - This can be any number. Feel free to mark this as OPEN or put a maximum instead.
Clan – Fog/Stream/Pine/Meadow/Loner/Kittypet What clan must the cat belong to? There can be more than one.
Rank – Kit/Apprentice/Warrior/Deputy/Leader/Loner/Kittypet/Anything
What I want – What kind of cat do you want? Someone to start a fight? Someone to gel with the rest of the cats? A possible friend? Anything you want :)
What I don't want – There might be things you don't want, like a cat who is particularly prone to starting conflict or a cat that doesn't say much. Its your rp, make sure you end up with the right cat.
Form Coding:
Please do not modify the colours. The 2 forms are colour coded so people can see which form you are using easily.

How to use the thread:
This is, thankfully, pretty easy.
Posting and maintaining an advertisement -
- Copy the relevant form and fill it out with details.
- Please update your advertisement with any relevant material. For example, if you want 3 cats for a thread and someone PMs you and joins the thread, please update your advertisement with the name of this person in 'Cats already involved' and say you only require 2 cats now.
- When you have got the thing you require, please delete your own post off of advertisements. We want an up to date listing, and you'll only be making things difficult for others and yourself if you don't.
- If you feel that you don't require any one else after posting an advertisement, feel free to simply delete it.
Looking for an RP:
- Look down the listings and find an rp you are interested in.
- Make sure you/your cats fit the requirements the rpers are asking for.
- Once you have found an rp/relationship you are interested in, contact the member through the appropriate way. For relationships, this will be the dedicated thread. For RPs, this might be PM, a planning thread or an actual thread.
- Threads marked 'No' for Ask to Join? can be leapt into without asking. Threads with Yes means you MUST contact the rper(s) you are hoping to rp with.
- With luck, you'll find yourself an rp simply and easily :D
