[ MEADOW!PLOT ] The Divide

The Story
MeadowClan, like any other Clan, is changing. New deputies are rising, Warriors are being made, and kits are growing. But some cats are starting to see a pattern in these changes: Meadow's new deputy? ForestClan born. First kits of MeadowClan? ForestClan born mentors. The Medicine cat? ForestClan born. The Leader of MeadowClan? ForestClan born. The leader's own mate? ForestClan born. Dark mutterings are spreading through the Clan like wildfire. "Cedarstar favors ForestClan cats." "ForestClan born cats think they're better than us!"

Is this coincidence? Or is this favoritism? Does it matter at all, or should a complaint be made? Who should make it, if so? Do you want peace, or do you want justice? Are you uptight ForestClanner, or rebellious rogue? Perhaps you are neither - but the pressure is building, and the choice might be made for you. Right now, there is little but a crack in the foundations of this Clan - but that crack is slowly growing bigger. It is, in essence, a widening divide.

Cats are now starting to ask themselves this one question: Is this MeadowClan, or MeadowClan and ForestClan?

The Plot so Far
Cedarstar is growing suspicious of his clan, and all too rightly. Loner-, and Rogue-born cats are starting to see a pattern in the high rankings of MeadowClan. The leader. ForestClan. His deputy. ForestClan. Even the Medicine Cat had his origins in the infamous ForestClan. Those born ‘outsiders’ begin to question Cedarstar’s judgment. Are they really all equal? Or is Cedarstar’s favor bought with lineage?


The Planned Progression
- Loner & Rogue-born cats question whether they are equal with ForestClan-born cats in Cedarstar’s eyes.
- Cedarstar, coincidentally, grows suspicious of his clan, believing them to be muttering about his decision behind his back.
- Loner & Rogue-born cats begin to voice their doubts.

How can I get involved?
*Make a cat- MeadowClan is made up of predominantly ForestClan-born cats who have been following Cedarstar since the journey’s beginning. Perhaps even before then. Making Loner- or Rogue-born cats that feel slighted favor-wise because of this (enough to take action) is a great way to jump into the plot.
*Make a stand- If you already have a cat or cats that would be suitable for this plot, feel free to expand their views. Which side will they take? Will they drastically protest or solidly defend? Or will they be among the moldable, ready for a particularly persuasive cat to sway them…
*Roleplay- Make plot-influenced threads, conspire, etc.

Role Wanted | Against Ceaderstar
Cat's Reason | At first Bearclaw is going to be reluctant to go against his leader, he's a loyal cat, but maybe he'll notice other cats being choosen over him for certain tasks. Bearclaw knows he's a good warrior, but the constant overseeing of other cats is going to get to him. Not to mention his soft spot for seeing all having the ability to be equal; ie his sister being Rogue.
Bearclaw is all about unity and trust in all clanmates. In his mind one needs to prove they aren't fit for MeadowClan by actions, not by blood. In the end he'll be there for any cat who is having issues.

Role Wanted| Cedarstar Supporter
Cat's Reason| Hawkheart was named for her loyalty to her clan. It is the only part of herself that she knows it truly genuine, her loyalty. Everything else that she knew to be true is... gone. So even if she has to fight to the death, she will remain loyalty. If she loses that, she'll lose herself.
While she will have immense amounts of fun causing drama (because what good is life without it?), there will be a part of her that always sets a limit. She will never allow herself to commit, or seem committed, to the rebel cause.

I would like to offer up two cats:

First Cat:

Cat Bio | His bio He is still listed under Cloudie because I haven't been given his code yet. I adopted him about a month back....but nobody sent me his code.
Role Wanted | Rebel
Cat's Reason | Well, Sprucefur starts out wondering whether or not this pattern is a coincidence or not. He tends to be trusting and trusts in his leader and believes that he wouldn't allow such a thing. But as the pattern continues he begins to question his leader's innocence. After deciding which side he lies on, Sprucefur begins rebelling against his Clan by speaking to any cat who will listen. He becomes very determined in making sure this bias doesn't continue.

Cat's Reason | Quailpaw, like many of the other cats in her Clan begins questioning Cedarstar's decision of his high ranked cats. She wonders if there is something about them that makes them more important than those who aren't of ForestClan. She doesn't want to speak out against her leader so she remains in the middle.
