Owlstar opened one of her eyes, awoken by something. Or maybe it was nothing? She was awake none-the-less, though. She let out a sigh, stood up and then stretched inside of her den. She shook her head a bit to get rid of her grogginess then made her way out of the den.
It was middle of the day by now. The sun was directly over head, filling the clearing with sunlight and banishing the shadows of the trees. She stretched once more then sat down and cleaned her fur. It had been ruffled quite a bit in her sleep. Owlstar tried to remember what she had been dreaming about, all she got was a flash of her running through a field. She figured it was probably just a memory from the journey to the clans' new homes.
After her fur was nice and orderly she made her way over to the fresh kill pile, smiling at some warrior along the way. When she reached the pile of prey she chose a nice, fat mouse and lay down to feast. The mouse was good and it quieted her growling stomach.
Now, what she she do? She decided that a visit to Bigeyes was in order. The elder often got lonely, she would imagine, seeing as he was the only one in FogClan and Owlstar enjoyed his company, even if he was a bit paranoid.
She stood and made her way over to the elder's den. She poked her head in to see if he was awake, if he wasn't she would just return later. "Ah, good. Your awake. I thought I'd come and talk to you, if you want." She knew how paranoid the elder could be. He didn't like being forced into things; heck, nobody liked being forced into things.[/blockquote]

"WHO'S THERE?" a raspy mew escaped the old tom's throat before he had the chance to open his abnormally large eyes. "Oh, Owlstar. Howdy." He straightened, licking the dark grey fur on his forepaw as his huge yellow eyes slid in and out of focus. "I thought.. you were a badga' or summat." He blinked rapidly, staring at the large black and white she-cat sitting in front of him.
"How are ye'?" he questioned, staring around the den for any signs of danger, "tha clan's well?" He twitched his tail; the rustling sound it made against the ground spooked the frail gray tom and he jumped high into the air. "OH NO" he yowled as every hair stood on end, "WHA WAZZAT!" His thin legs could not hold him up in a state of panic, however, and they soon gave out and Bigeyes was forced to plop down again.
"Y'all should get some warrio' to guard me so'time. This here is dang'rous." He nodded, pointing at the walls of the den, "Summat's gon' get in through that weak wall, ya hear? Than y'all will be missin' me. Well, not much, I s'pose. I ain't much a-help here, but a thank ya for takin' care o' lil' ol' me."

"I thought.. you were a badga' or summat." Owlstar smiled at Bigeyes comfortingly then meowed, "No, there are no badgers about right now. I'll be sure that your the first to know if there are any about, though."
Owlstar walked further into the den and sat down in front of the old tom, making sure that every part of her was visible; he often got freaked out if he couldn't see every part of your person. "How are ye'? Tha clan's well?" Owlstar smiled then nodded, "I am good, and you? The clan's wonderful." She watched calmly as Bigeyes had one of his normal panic attacks. Owlstar had grown accustomed to these while visiting the tom. "Y'all should get some warrio' to guard me so'time. This here is dang'rous. Summat's gon' get in through that weak wall, ya hear? Than y'all will be missin' me. Well, not much, I s'pose. I ain't much a-help here, but a thank ya for takin' care o' lil' ol' me." Olwstar gave Bigeyes a questioningly humorous look then meowed, "But Bigeyes, all of us are guarding you. When you sleep there is a cat that watches the entrance to the camp, even when your awake sometimes. And FogClan is a strong clan, we can live in these dangerous places and still thrive. Of course we would miss you, me especially. I love talking to you, it makes my day. It's really nothing Bigeyes, every cat in FogClan is very fond of you." She smiled at him then licked one of her paws. "I'm hoping that there will be some rain soon, the ground is so dry and the small plants are starting to die because of the heat." Owlstar shuffled uncomfortably then lay down, Ahh, much better.
