Name | Frostpaw, to be Frostclaw
Gender | She-cat
Age | 12 moons
Rank | Apprentice
Clan | Fog
Beliefs| Frostpaw does not believe in Starclan at all. She believes that, once cats die, they go to a place of never ending darkness, and that death is both peaceful and lonely. She respects a cat the most when they have 'had the courage to die' rather than fighting on with life, particularly when she feels they have little quality of life. She hates medicine cats, believing that they 'tamper with fate' by healing cats with herbs. She believes that leaders 'in the name of Starclan' are self-elected and actually made up Starclan to keep cats in line. She often labels those who follow Starclan as 'blind followers, who 'cannot think for themselves enough to do anything without following magical cat's in the sky.' She believes very much in making your own happiness, and she believes that she and Pineclan know the real truth.

Appearance | Frostpaw is a very light grey cat, the colour being lightest on her underbelly. Being a long-furred cat, she looks as if she has a chunky build, yet really she of adverage body-size. Her eyes are a bright green colour, and she has a wide face. Her body has some scars, but none that are obvious at a glance, as her long fur hides a great deal of them. Her tail is bushy, and her legs are somewhat stocky.
Personality |
Very sharp-tongued. Never being known for her politeness, her frank honesty and harsh truth giving upsets many a cat. Frostpaw does not bond well with other cats, due to her differing beliefs. She curses her luck at being born in a clan which values it's belief in Starclan so much as it means that her clanmates are all 'dull followers who cannot think for themselves.'
Frostpaw does not follow orders or clanrules, constantly questioning anyone who orders her to do something. Though she has good hunting skills and some fighting skills, she has no desire to use them. She has no respect for clanrules, believing them to be ridiculous and pointless. She has little respect for authority, as she doesn't believe that the Starclan-elected leader has any right to lead the clan. The only way Frostpaw will follow a leader, or even respect them, is if they respect her beliefs and make her respect them (through clear-thinking and intelligence).
She HATES medicine cats, believing they do not have a right to tamper with fate. 'If you are going to die, you're going to die, no cat should fix that'. She also thinks that medicine cats fake the dreams just to maintain order within the clan, supporting the leader.
Frostpaw is sometimes bitter at others treatment of her, but mostly it changes to anger. She will get into an argument with the aim to win, just to show the other cat she is someone to be respected. She often argues for something to do, as she believes that hunting is dull. She will stay in camp all day if she is not forced out somehow. Frostclaw, due to lack of cats who do like her, often winds up other cats for the heck of it, especially if they are doing/talking of 'trivial' things. These trivial things include idea's like that of being 'in love'.
Frostpaw realised as she went through her apprenticeship that she was swapping friendship for her beliefs. Her narrow-minded view of other cats means she likes to manipulate them, making them question their own beliefs, so often cats do not want to form a friendship with her. However, sometimes, on the odd occation, she does form a friendship, and though she does not show it, she very much values it. Losing these friendships tend to make her yet more cynical.
Above all, Frostpaw yearns to be understood. Many cats, due to her very announced atheism, avoid and hate her. The mixture of her abstract beliefs, lack of respect and outspoken nature means, even when she is being her most respectful, she is often scolded. This makes her resolve in her beliefs stronger, and makes her eventually want to leave the clan. Frostpaw curses the fact that she was born in Fogclan, and not the clear-headed Pineclan, and has ideas of leaving for Pineclan when the time is right.
Frostpaw is a very thoughtful cat, who makes up her own beliefs based on what she sees and knows. Angry, cynical and very sharp tongued, her disregard for clanrules makes her a tough cat to deal with. Though she secretly craves affection, she does not go out looking for it and will commit social suicide for her beliefs.
Despite all this, Frostpaw is not evil. She would never kill a cat, believing the dead are those who should get the most respect ('It takes courage to let go of life and die). She has little ambition, believing that being a high rank does not make your life happier.
Skills |
Frostpaw is not particularly amazing at any skills. She lacks in her hunting skills, due to her unwillingness to hunt as it is 'dull, but she has good fighting skills. Her tracking skills are so-so. She has an ability to keep a level-head even when being insulted.
History |
Frostpaw's mother, Greyfur, joined the clan when it was formed, believing that the clan life would be the best for her kit and herself. Upon joining, she gained a very strong belief in Starclan and tried to preach its ways to Frostkit. Frostkit was edging on five moons when her mother joined the clan, and although she had little patience for stories and playing, she held no massive grudge about joining. However, at that point she was skill a kit and she didn't really comprehend what joining a clan meant.
As she grew older, slowly her acceptance of clan ways began to fade. She could not understand why her clan believed in such 'kit tales' as Starclan and refused to believe in them herself, despite her mother's lectures.
Her beliefs matured slowly as she got older, her hatred for Starclan and those who followed them growing. At this time, a time when she could possibly become a warrior at any moment, her beliefs have fully matured. No cat knows, including herself, why she has such an aversion to believing in Starclan. Frostpaw just believes she was born with clarity of mind, and she can see through 'all the conspiracies of the clan'.
Frostpaw became an apprentice at 6 moons, but her lack of desire to learn disturbed her mentor. However, she learnt quickly, she had little will to be an active part of the clan. However, she learnt quickly and she now she has the skills to become a warrior.
Yet, her lack of respect for the warrior code does not make a lot of cats trust her. Along with her outspoken nature about her beliefs (and lack of respect for authority, due to the fact that they did not respect her beliefs), many cats, do not want her to become a warrior any time soon as they believe she will be a hindrance rather than a help.
Yet, Frostclaw is desperate to become a warrior, feeling her skills are great enough to take on the responsibility. She feels she has nothing left to learn as an apprentice, and wishes to move on. Yet, as cats fear her intentions there is little hope of her becoming one for a while, which really annoys her.
