Redtail froze, body stiffening as he felt Spiderstorm's tongue rasp over his fur. With a shudder, he scooted away slightly; muscles tencing. "Apology accepted, Spiderstorm." He whispered back, curling up tight. "If... don't... just don't groom me. Ever." He added. "Please... it's uncomfortable." Redtail covered his face with his paws, ears back as he rested, though concious...

Spiderstorm suddenly felt embaressed. "Okay." She felt stiff, to scared to move. She closed her eyes and regretted everything she said. Even what she said just now. She tried to walk over to the fallen trees, but felt uncomfortable. She jumped far from where Redtail was sitting, and jumped into a wet, leafy hole. She put her paws over her face and sighed.

Redtail, much to his annoyance, felt horrible for the she-cat. Standing up, he slinked over to Spiderstorm's side and began grooming her; between his licking he managed out: "Just let me... groom you... and don't... groom me... back."

Spiderstorm felt somewhat confused, and sat up. "You better not tell anyone." She growled. She sighed and looked up. The young she-cat suddenly felt that she something, something weird that she remembers having a long time ago while she was still in the pack. She closed her eyes and thought. She took a deep breathe as she opened her eyes and looked up. Maybe he wasn't mean. Maybe it was just her. She purred at the thought.

Redtail pulled back, retreating his tongue. He huffed. "As if. And you better not tell anyone, either. I have a reputation to uphold." He rumbled. "Or so help me I'll remove all your whiskers and turn you into a porcupine with them." Redtail warned, eyes narrowing... playfully? How odd. Curling up tight next to Spiderstorm, Redtail let his eyes close with a contented sigh; smiling to himself. Spiderstorm wasn't such a shabby cat as he thought she'd be.
Not shabby at all.

Spiderstorm purred, pressing closer to Redtail. She sighed and had to tell herself that he wasn't that bad after all. Again. He was just trying to be tough. She purred harder. He wasn't though. He was a careing cat, like any other. Maybe a bit tough, then again, not really. She closed her eyes, and something frightening came in to her mind. She couldn't really believe it, but somehow, under all that toughness, she liked him.

Redtail let her press closer-- possibly for comfort?-- and sighed, closing his eyes. It was getting dark. Redtail didn't need to look at the sky to know this; he could feel in it his bones. Night was comeing, and he really didn't want to be scolded by the other warriors-- or even the deputy-- for comeing back late. Not whatsoever. "Spiderstorm," He rumbled. "We must head back to camp. I truly do not want to face the leaders wrath."
