Dear Admins~ I understand that Brokenleg has not accepted yet, and for that matter finished yet, the reason for the roleplay is to find a personality that I like for her. I have one in mind, but don't know if it is ideal for her, so I may be switching her personality quite frequently throughout this roleplay. Thank you. ^^
Brokenleg at near a huge fallen tree mumbling to herself. Her words seemed to flow together as one, making it difficult to understand her. She sat with her dead leg stretching out, making her seem quite comical; if you knew what was good for you though you would make sure to overlook this and make sure you did not chuckle or make comments.
Brokenleg stopped mumbling to herself suddenly and hopped up onto her three legs, her dead leg hanging. "Did you hear that Stone-ears?! Oh, I don't care if you think I need to relax, when a badger comes and eats the both of us then you'll be sure to listen to me next time!"
Some things to note about what Brokenleg said: it probably didn't make sense for she never seemed to make sense and she still believes that her dear ol' dead mate Stone-ears is talking to her. She has arguments with him too, of course to others it may seem as if she is speaking to herself, but oh no, she is arguing with Stone-ears. Clearly, right? (Your not supposed to agree.)
"Fine, Stone-ears! But when you get eaten I'm going to be the one saying 'I told you so'." Brokenleg sat back down (acquiring the same comical pose as before) with a "huff" and continued to mumble to herself.

Firefang sat by himself near a boulder, trying to groom his pelt to an impeccable shine. It had taken up most of his day thus far, but he had nothing better to do. His eyes widened in surprise as he came upon yet another spot caked with dirt. How was he ever going to become the leader of his clan if he couldn't look decent most of the time?
Suddenly a voice broke the peaceful silence of camp, and his ears twitched involuntarily. Who was that? Only a kit, an apprentice, a warrior other than himself, or an elder would have had the nerve to disturb such an impeccable peace. So that left... everyone else in the clan.
"Who dares to disturb my peaceful time?" Firefang hissed to himself quietly as he rose to his paws and stretched. It appeared that his rest was over. He had to find the source of the voice and give them a good talking to. The nerve of some cats! His green eyes sharpened as they swept around the clearing, looking for the voice that dared to disturb him. "You." Firefang's eyes narrowed and his whiskers twitched in irritation. It was that insane old she-cat, Brokenleg! Normally he could cut she-cats some slack, as they were naturally weaker in the mind and body than toms were, but this time... wait. Was she rambling on about a badger attack? He padded a few steps closer and pricked his ears. Yep, it was a badger attack all right. A chuckle rumbled in his chest and he even smiled a little bit. Oh, she was such a silly old gal! "Brokenleg, I don't scent any badgers around here. Would you like me to get you something? Water, some fresh-kill?" he purred smoothly as he came up beside her. It was never a bad idea to get on the good side of any cat in his clan, even if it meant doing apprentice-type tasks. Any chance he got to further his good reputation and earn a vote towards leadership he took without hesitation.

ooc;; Keep in mind that Stone-ears isn't really with her. He is a fragment of her imagination. Also, she believes that she is the only one that Stone-ears can hear (seeing as he got his re-name because he ended up going deaf). Oh! And Blueflower is Brokenleg's bipolar daughter.
bic;; Brokenleg noticed a little too late that she and Stone-ears were not the only cats in the clearing. She quietly meowed under her breath to him, "Look sharp, Stone-ears! You know the young cats these days, always going on about their looks."
"Who dares to disturb my peaceful time?" She quietly added to her mate, "And this one has a temper, too." "You." Brokenleg narrowed her eyes right back at the young tom. The nerve of him to speak to her as if she was some reckless kit.
Brokenleg puffed herself up and raised one of her paws, swatting his ear a couple of time as she meowed in a reprimanding tone, "You tom, I am an elder! You have no right to speak to me in such ways! The last I checked this is a place for all cats, not just you. So watch your tongue, young'in! I might have a dead leg but that doesn't mean that I am as deaf as my dear ol' Stone-ears!"
Brokenleg let out a "hmph" then mumbled under her breath to Stone-ears, "Serves him right, eh?" "Brokenleg, I don't scent any badgers around here. Would you like me to get you something? Water, some fresh-kill?" Brokenleg narrowed her eyes at the tom. What was he playing at? One second he acts like Brokenleg was sitting right on top of him and now he wanted to tend to her? Not likely.
"What are you playin' at, young'in? I've never seen a cat changed emotions so fast, not even my dear Blueflower, bless her soul." Not entirely true, Blueflower was known to change emotions in a matter of seconds, but still. Brokenleg continued to glare at the tom, not sure what to make of his friendly act. One thing was for certain though, it was definitely an act.

"You tom, I am an elder! You have no right to speak to me in such ways! The last I checked this is a place for all cats, not just you. So watch your tongue, young'in! I might have a dead leg but that doesn't mean that I am as deaf as my dear ol' Stone-ears!" Firefang's response was on the tip of his tongue, but he bit it back. She was right. She was an elder, and a she-cat at that. He couldn't believe that he had been so openly rude to her!
"What are you playin' at, young'in? I've never seen a cat changed emotions so fast, not even my dear Blueflower, bless her soul." The tip of Firefang's tail flicked. His left eye twitched once. Blueflower... he should have known that she was Brokenleg's daughter. It all made sense now... the rapid mood swings... the crazy muttering to herself... even her annoying tendency to ignore the presence of others when she was having a "moment." It was all inherited from her mother, every last bit of it.
"I'm not playing at anything, Brokenleg. I was just wondering if you needed anything. Honestly, that's it."
Firefang meowed in a persuasive, placating tone. Perhaps he should play up her delusions a bit? If she thought that he believed that Stone-ears was there, it was his idea that she'd warm up a bit. It seemed like a good idea, but he braced himself for a cuff on the ear just incase. There was no telling how Brokenleg would react to his question. "If you don't want anything, could you ask Stone-ears what he would like? I can't talk to him, but it seems like he understands you pretty well." Firefang smiled and even withdrew his claws from the ground, for they had started to dig in when Brokenleg had started glaring at him. If only Briar was here to help me. He always had a way with cats, being friendly and stuff. He would know exactly what to say to her. He blinked a few times and shook his head in confusion. What had he just thought to himself? Briar was dead! Of course he couldn't be here!

"I'm not playing at anything, Brokenleg. I was just wondering if you needed anything. Honestly, that's it." Brokenleg lashed her tail, not sure if she should trust the tom or not. Well, he is offering and I'm hungry. That has nothing to do with trust, it has to do with food. Brindlepelt didn't let her guard up but meowed, "I am a bit hungry you know. The journey out here always seems to take it out of me, hauling around this dead leg and all." She nodded sharply then averted her gaze to Stone-ears. "No! I cannot get it myself. I am an elder, dear. My hunting days are over. Plus, he is still young!"
Brokenleg flicked her ears, annoyed that Stone-ears would suggest that she go get her own food instead of making the "poor young'in" retrieve it. Brokenleg shot a glance at him then returned her attention to the tom. What was his name? Flame- something? "What's your name?" It wasn't her job to remember all the cat's names. That was Gingerstar's duty.
"If you don't want anything, could you ask Stone-ears what he would like? I can't talk to him, but it seems like he understands you pretty well." Brokenleg let out a "hmph" but then turned back to her mate, "He wants to know if you want anything." Brokenleg let out an irritated sigh then meowed, clearly annoyed, "No! I did not make him suggest anything!" The nerve of Stone-ears! She shuffled her paws then turned back to the warrior. "He says that he is fine."

Firefang nearly took offense to the fact that she did not know who he was. Everyone knew Firefang, whether they liked him or not. He was one of the best Warriors in the entire clan, and quite possibly the best! How could she not know who he was? It was an insult to his overly inflated ego. No, no, no. Have to cut her slack. She's an old, half-crazy she-cat. Slack, Firefang, slack. At least she asked for your name.
He found himself much calmer after that. An easy smile, small though it was, crossed his face and lit up his eyes for a moment. She was expressing interest in him. That made up for the earlier blow to his ego. "My name's Firefang, ma'am. Is there anything in particular that you'd like? I caught a nice squirrel earlier." Firefang's chest puffed up involuntarily as his mind wandered back to his earlier victory over Oakwhisker. Oakwhisker hadn't gone up in the trees to hunt, but the ginger tom had. It was a small victory, especially since they had caught an even amount of prey, but it was a victory nonetheless. Firefang started licking at his chest while he waited for a response. It had become covered in a small layer of dust while he'd been talking to the elder. He couldn't go around looking like that!

My name's Firefang, ma'am. Is there anything in particular that you'd like? I caught a nice squirrel earlier." Brokenleg shot a glare at Stone-ears, daring him to say something that would irk her. Well I was kind of close. Flame-, Fire- it's all the same. Brokenleg stood, her dead leg dragging on the ground, and whipped around to Stone-ears, "For goodness sakes! I don't know why I agreed to be your mate! You're always pulling my tail in different directions and questioning me about StarClan knows what!" She glared at him, waiting for him to say something. He didn't. He just simply turned away from his mate.
Brokenleg felt awful. She sighed and walked over to him in her odd sort of walk-hop way. "I'm sorry alright? I didn't mean that..." Stone-ears shrugged and walked into the forest. Brokenleg sighed and turned back to Firefang. "Anything will do..." Her voice was a whisper, her thoughts off in the forest with Stone-ears, hoping that he would forgive her.

As much as Firefang hated to admit it, he was touched by the senile old she-cat. She obviously believed that she had upset her "mate" and that he had gone off into the forest without her. He padded off without a word, heading toward the fresh-kill pile to retreive that squirrel that he'd caught earlier. Brokenleg needed some time alone at the moment. A little bit of space never hurt anyone.
After what he felt was a sufficient amount of time he returned to Brokenleg with his squirrel. He felt very awkward just standing there after witnessing their "exchange," so he set about trying to reassure her. "He'll come back, Brokenleg. He's stayed with you thus far, hasn't he? It would be pointless to leave you right now of all times. He's got a tendency to go off to be by himself when he's upset or cross about something, right? When he's cooled off a little bit he'll come back to you." The squirrel lay infront of Brokenleg's forepaws. It looked so tantalizing to Firefang. He loved squirrel. If the elder didn't snatch it up soon he just might take it for himself and get her something else to eat. He was salivating just watching the fluffy-tailed rodent lying there. Firefang cleared his throat and pushed it a little closer to Brokenleg, not sure if she'd noticed the food in her fog of obvious despair.

"...When he's cooled off a little bit he'll come back to you."
[/s] Brokenleg nodded and meowed, "Thank you, for the squirrel." She bent down and ate half of it, pushing the other half toward Firefang, "Would you like this?" Brokenleg's thoughts wandered to what Firefang had said. She hoped he was right... She hated it when she and Stone-ears got into huge arguments. She could tell that she had really hurt the tom with her words and she felt horrible. She loved him dearly... Brokenleg stood suddenly then walked over to where Stone-ears had disappeared. "I'm going to go find him." She walked into the forest, in her special walk-hop way, following her mate's scent. She knew that it would mean more to the tom if she went to find him. Firefang nearly choked on his squirrel. She was going after "him"? She was really going to leave the camp and go traipsing off after some figment of her imagination? He couldn't let her do that! She might get hurt, or lost, or worse. There was no telling what an old cat like her in her unstable mental state could do, or even cause. He couldn't let her go, but he couldn't leave the camp undefended either.
The situation was troubling him to no short degree. If he didn't go after her, he'd have the death of an innocent on his paws. If he did go after her, he'd get in trouble with Gingerstar. That would seriously hinder his climb to leadership. How dare that silly old cat go off and leave him all this trouble to deal with?
"Brokenleg, come back! What if he comes back while you're gone? I'm sure he doesn't need you to look for him. Come on now. Come back. Please?" Firefang called frantically after the she-cat from the edge of camp. What if she was out of earshot? What if she turned around and fell and broke another leg? He didn't want to be blamed for her injury. He should be out there with her, protecting her as was his duty as a tom. On the flip side, it was his duty as a warrior to defend his clan from any random invasion that might happen. He was just stuck. A snarl ripped from the back of his throat and he narrowed his eyes. She'd trapped him between both duties. He hated being trapped.
