((Well well well... We've spent the past few days trying to get our bios done as quickly as possible so we could rp... and it suddenly occurs to me that actually we don't need bios to rp. It also never occured to me that people may actually need to play their cats to get a history and accurate personality for a bio XD Ridiculous, eh? However, luckily I realised that I was being an idiot and I decided to make the pre-plot rp here instead. Not only does this help you find your character's voice, it takes the pressure over getting all the bios done and accepted.
So, use this rp to figure: - Figure out your cat's personality and history and skills. - Get to know their own characters - Learn the quirks of other characters - Set up the relationships and emotional bonds between cats (this is particularly important for the siblings and for the parents with their respective kits) - Try to realise your bond with every character, even ones that don't particularly mean much to your character. Remember, not all the apprentices will neccessarily like eachother XD
Info to note - This plot is set in Meadowclan camp and is exclusive to Meadowclan cats. Absolutely no other clan cats. However, NON-plot characters are welcome to join in if they wish... just don't distract anyone too much. - I intend to move this thread to Main AS SOON AS all the cats are accepted and done. Keep everything Meadowclan relevant and treat this like an rp in Main. - Though getting your cat's bios complete is a priority having the rp here takes the pressure off a little. - Please please make this rp active XD If I notice any main characters being inactive, I will be following them up X3 Not to sound like a headteacher(lawlenglishterm)/principal, but to make this plot run smoothly the main characters must be active.
Feel free to post now. I'll add a post later when I have a moment to spare XD))

ooc// No idea how to start this off, but I'm going to try. ^^;

Dawnpaw bounced into camp, whiskers frantically twitching, her fine white coat covered in a fine layer of dust. On her muzzle was a small smirk, which naturally came from the teeny tiny mouse that she held loosely in her jaw. That's right-- it was her mouse. Her first mouse. She had caught it all by herself (well, her mentor might have helped her with her crouch and might have even located the poor thing when Dawnpaw's clumsy pounce scared it away the first time, but... whatever) and now she had to share that experience with someone. Anyone. Preferably someone her own age though, as all the other warriors would probably patronize her and tell her to stop making such a big deal over nothing.
She skidded away from the entrance and her nose tried to search for the scent of one other apprentice, but the musk of the mouse in her mouth made it difficult. She was getting irritated that no one of any importance was in camp. Only a few boring, average warriors who could care less and the medicine cat... but she really didn't want to taint her mouse with the smell of herbs.
Oh come on! There's like a bajillion apprentices and I can't find one?! What are they doing? Training?! Dawnpaw let out a short growl and then lowered her head to the floor so she could lay the mouse gently on the ground. She licked her lips, flicked her ears, and looked around camp once again, begging someone to reveal themselves to her. What good was a first catch if there was no one to share it with?

Newtpaw curled in on himself under the shadows in the den. His flame-orange fur seemed to cooperate for once, taking on a duller color and helping him stay hidden within the shadows. Honestly the tom apprentice didn't feel like meeting with his mentor today to begin his first real sessions. Newtpaw was much too afraid he would mess on up his first day to even try.
His ears lowered. Was this really the best way to start off his time as an apprentice? Of course it wasn't, and he knew that. But he just didn't want to mess up! Even when he did, his mentor would probably just smile at him and say it was ok, but Newtpaw would know the warrior was wondering why they got stuck with such a foolish apprentice.
With a soft whine, the ginger tom pulled out of the confines of his den. His amber eyes opened and closed to adjust to the sun before the apprentice glanced around camp for his mentor. He didn't see the warrior. Newtpaw didn't know whether to be happy or disappointed.
What he did see -- or should he say who -- was Dawnpaw, another apprentice of his clan. Her white fur was dirty, but Newtpaw could see the pretty color under the dirt. Despite the she-cats... gruffer nature, Newtpaw actually found her a bit of a joy to be near. She was so confident in herself, it was almost as if Newtpaw took her actions as tips for himself.
The she-cat had what Newtpaw assumed was a mouse. He wondered if she had caught it. Newtpaw himself had not been taken out on a real hunting mission yet, and had not yet caught something for the clan. Dawnpaw was so lucky, being able to hunt and bring something back!
Awkwardly, the ginger tabby made his way over to where the she-cat sat. "Good morning," he said as he neared her, voice barely above a whisper.

If Dawnpaw hadn't caught a glimpse of Newtpaw's bright red coat, she wouldn't have known that he had approached him. Oh wow, was that tom quiet! His meow had been as light as a spring drizzle and she honestly hadn't heard what he had muttered to her. Something about something, she was sure, but it didn't matter. She beamed at him, her ears perking and her eyes sparking. Her words came out in a rush, words tumbling over themselves.
"Newtpaw! Guess what? I went out to train with my mentor this morning and though I kinda wanted to fight, we went hunting instead. I caught a mouse all by myself. Look!" Dawnpaw hopped up and then nudged the small, delicate creature toward Newtpaw's feet. "I know it's not a big one, but it looks good. You can have it if you haven't already eaten, Dawnpaw offered him the mouse as if it was made of gold. After all, she had been the one to catch it.
Dawnpaw could get oh so carried away at times.
Now that her news was out, she did manage to speak slower and clearer."Have you gone out yet, Newtpaw?"

He nodded as the she-cat rushed through her news, catching bits of pieces of what Dawnpaw said before sticking it all together so it made sense. He smiled briefly down at the mouse, but was mostly happy for the excited apprentice, not the extra prey.
"That's great, Dawnpaw," he said after several attempts to raise his voice. Newtpaw thought he did pretty good by his standards. "You're so lucky you got to... go out today with your mentor." The day was still young -- very young -- Newtpaw still had a chance to go out.
When she offered the small animal to him he shrank back slightly. That was her catch! She should have it, she worked hard for it after all. "No it's yours, I'm fine." Besides, he hadn't hunted yet (ever) and would have to before he was allowed to eat.

Dawnpaw just shrugged when he refused the mouse. Though she did want to see someone enjoy her prey, it didn't matter-- it would get eaten eventually. But his soft-spoken praise was enough to keep her spirits high and in the clouds. Today was going to be fantastic. She could feel it.
" I hope you can go out soon with me. The fields are amazing. I've never seen so much green in my life," she purred happily. "We could build up endurance and have races-- I bet I could beat you. Gosh, just thinking about it makes me wanna go out again, right now."
But she knew she couldn't. Her mentor had joined a patrol and told her to relax in camp for a while, since she had done "such a good job for her very first day." (That's right, she had memorized each golden word.) Still, she knew she could do better if given the chance.
"Where's your mentor, Newtpaw?" she said, realizing that she hadn't seen that particular warrior around. Poor fellow-- if his mentor wasn't in, then how could he go train? She would hate to stay in camp all day and was eager for her own mentor to get back.

Stripepaw blinked sleepily and rolled over in her nest. She was about to curl up into a ball again but a beam of light had unfortunately disturbed her. The she-cat growled at the sun and turned back over to face the entrance. She sniffed and sat up slowly, stretching each limb happily. She yawned and looked down at her mussed up pelt.
She licked her lips and blinked sleepily. Were there voices she could hear out in the camp? Oh, but how she just wanted to sit in her nest all day. She knew her mentor would come looking for her soon and convince her to go on some stupid hunting patrol. She would much rather be sleeping than hunting.
She pushed herself lazily to her paws and straightened herself up. Clearing her throat she began to groom her fur roughly until it seemed clean enough to be able to walk into the camp. Putting on a smile, she strolled out of the apprentices den and strode into the camp, waving her tail happily.
We could build up endurance and have races-- I bet I could beat you. Gosh, just thinking about it makes me wanna go out again, right now.
The she-cat smirked. Obviously it was Dawnpaw. Someone was in a feisty mood today. A little bit self conceited as well. Stripepaw rolled her eyes and casually strolled toward Dawnpaw and Newtpaw. She was fast, yes, but her paws didn't like to carry her that far. She'd rather lay in camp or take a slow stroll in the moors instead of racing, but she was fast.
She smiled and angled her head toward the sun. It felt so nice. The sky was cloudless, then a scent caught her nose. A mouse. And it was dangling from Dawnpaw's jaws. Ugh, was she bragging about some catch? Stupid mice. They weren't that big of a deal. What was she to say though. She hadn't been hunting yet and she'd probably be terrible if she tried. She did like scenting things, though.
"Oh, hello and good..afternoon to you two," Stripepaw meowed, keeping her voice light and careful. She inspected the tiny mouse. It was probably a first catch, so he shouldn't have jumped to conclusions but sometimes Dawnpaw was just so..ugh..self absorbed. She sighed and nodded at the she-cat's mouse. "Nice catch.." she meowed softly, trying to smile kindly.

Darkpaw had been rolling about and tussling with a mossball that he had found outside the nursery all morning. His oddly colored fur was covered in dust, just adding to the hodge-podge of his long, fuzzy pelt. He was so caught up with tearing at it and "winning" that he didn't even notice Dawnpaw come into camp, with a mouse in her jaws. His ears twitched as more voices began to catch his attention. He looked over to see Dawnpaw, Newtpaw, and Stripepaw chatting quietly with each other. The small tom picked up his mossball, rather protective of it, even though it wasn't his, and walked over to them, dropping the ball between his paws. "Hey guys!" He meowed loudly, a small purr blooming in his throat. "Whoa! Dawnpaw, did you catch that mouse? I'm so jealous, my mentor hasn't taught me anything yet!" He sat down huffily, flicking his ears in a rejected way.
Darkpaw watched the mouse with hungry eyes. Not that he wanted to eat it, he had already eaten that morning, but because he was jealous. He wanted so bad to be out of camp, exploring his home and hunting. It wasn't fair that Dawnpaw got to go out and do everything that he wanted to do. And here she was dangling it in front of him. The purr momentarily switched to a growl and he scowled. "How'd you get your mentor to take you out? I beg mine all the time and they still won't take me!"

((Thanks for being active on here ^^ Lovely to see all the apprentices. Sorry mine was a long time coming, I had an exam. This is looking fantastic XD I'm so honestly impressed.
Please excuse my character, I'm trying to find his voice.))
A ginger tom sat silently in some tall grass on the outskirts of the camp, his stance relaxed. His fluffy fur was dusty, sticking out in unnatural angles, giving him a wild look. One would gather, if they were to spot him in the long grass, that his fur was merely messy from his attempts to get where he was, however really the tom nearly always looked like that. It wasn't that his fur refused to act nicely, it was more that he couldn't be bothered to keep it tidy. It gave him an unusual appearance, one which he felt suited him.
Why?
Redpaw wasn't the kind of cat who followed the usual etiquette of a warrior cat. Unlike most of his clan, he saw no need to look well-groomed, just like he saw no reason to follow the rules, for he felt it was a pointless exercise as his pelt would just get messed up again anyway. Not only that, his fur was like a silent message to all cats that he was not one who was influenced by the normal social rules... just like his actions were not effected by the warrior code.
Redpaw shifted slightly as a butterfly came into his field of vision, making him move into a defensive crouch. He couldn't help but feel a little jumpy. If he was caught out here he would surely be scolded. He didn't understand why the warriors would be angry, he saw no harm in venturing but a few fox-lengths away from camp. It wasn't like he had gone hunting without permission... he had merely wandered away to sit in this patch of grass. All he wanted was a change in scenery, to see the meadow... a place he had not seen since he had made an expedition to it at 4 moons, that wasn't bad, was it?
The apprentice, barely more than a kit, did not really acknowledge that this disregard of the rules could be seen as rebellious. No... he didn't see the right or wrong of things... he only saw the potential for adventure and the emotional implications. If it made him happy and didn't hurt anyone, it was fine in his books. The warrior code had nothing to do with it.
He gazed out through the curtain of grass around him at the large expanse of green meadow that stretched before him. It called to him invitingly, almost whispering to him how fun the place could be if he ventured further. However, he knew better than to go out alone... his siblings would worry about him and that bothered him more than anything.
As he thought of his siblings he suddenly became aware that he could actually one of them talking. His ears pricked slightly as he chuckled silently at his sister, Stripepaw, attempting to be polite. He turned to face the camp to see that some apprentices, including both his siblings, had congregated.
A cheeky smirk crossed his face as an idea flashed through his mind. He got onto his paws, deciding this opportunity was too good to miss. Making sure he did not make a sound, he wandered until he was out of the eyeshot of all the apprentices and then slowly crept up on them.
"Who said we had to have a mentor take us out?" He meowed casually, hoping his sudden appearance would make them jump. "How about I take you out, Darkpaw?" He smiled innocently, trying to tempt the apprentice into coming out with him. Perhaps if he was tactful enough, he could gain an accomplice to go out exploring.

Darkpaw whirled about at the sudden appearance of Redpaw. He hadn't even heard his friend approach, though you couldn't entirely blame him, his ears had not been honed to focus on more than one thing at a time and had been so focused on himself and his whining that he hadn't heard the amateur stalking technique that Redpaw had used. His back was arched instinctively while his short tail was puffed up to its full size, which was enormous, because of the long fur that he already had. "Geez Redpaw, what were you doing? I was about to leap out of my fur." Darkpaw yowled, relaxing back into a sitting position. His ears twitched and his pupils flexed as Redpaw mentioned leaving the camp with him. A slow smile curled beneath his long, curling white whiskers. It would be easy, so incredibly easy to just sneak out one of the side tunnels and out into the forest and field surrounding the camp, especially since there were currently no older cats watching them. They were all wrapped up in their own responsibilities and thoughts, far too busy to be worried about a gang of new apprentices chatting it up. If two were to slip out of camp, no one would notice. Except... A single image popped into Darkpaw's mind. And that image was an odd-eyed black and white tom that had a tendency to be extremely overprotective. That cat was his father, Skunkflower. Darkpaw could just see his father looking for him all over the place, frantic and close to tears. The young tom's stomach twisted with indecision. There was the adventure and mystery outside of camp, but if he left and his father found out, he would be in so much trouble. Darkpaw looked at Redpaw for a few moments, then shook his head, looking down at his paws. "I can't... My dad..."
