The dark sky had fell and had rose back up as morning. The nursery was filled with sunlight that it a frown planted on her face. She just loved the morning. When every single day begins. She got to her paws and slashed her tail side to side. Stripedpelt¡¯s vein was flowing with determination as another day of a warrior began. No..no¡¦ The day of an Queen. The thought of that made her dissapointed. She had a kit. But happiness flew back up as she thought about Gingerkit soon becoming an apprentice.

Gingerkit woke up, along with her mother. He bounced around, trying to find something to do with his moss ball that he found yesterday. These was nothing to do. All the days seemed to pass by, especially in the morning, since there were no more kits in StreamClan. She set her paws on the wet moss ball. "Mother, I'm bored. I wish I was an apprentice. I could beat up all the other Clans." He sighed and added, "Why isn't there any other kits around here, huh?"

"The time will soon come, young one." Stripedpelt meowed. She understood her. Gingerkit was the only one in the nursery. If she had 2 kits then it would have been better. "Should I show you some....hunting techniques?" She asked. She felt poor for her precious kit..

Gingerkit hesitated, and then replied, "No, it's okay." Then she paused, waiting for something exciting to happen. Even just a normal Clan cat coming to the nursery was a very special event for her. She turned around to find her mossball, and discovered it quite exhausting to roll it around. She placed it under Stripedpelt's mossy den. The ginger cat rolled, pretending that she was fighting off some kittypets. If only apprentices came to play with her... Gingerkit looked around, and found that the morning was quite drippy. A nice day to curl up in her den. But she didn't want to. Gingerkit was so eager to fight and hunt.
Gingerkit's thoughts drifted away, entering the wild imagination. Now and then, Gingerkit could hardly go out unless her mother was sleeping, or some of the apprentices, her only friends, decided to come and play with her. But most of the times, apprentices were usually busy with training or doing chores. Gingerkit sighed and exited her daydreams. Her paws were covered with dust, and Gingerkits warm eyes glowed, as if it was the sun. If the ginger kit decided to go out, and Stripedpelt found out about it, she would be steamed at her for eternity. Well, it's better than staying here, dying of boredom, she thought, as she stalked outside of the nursery.
Gingerkit sniffed the air again, trying to find something interesting to do. After all, this was only her first time going out of the nursery, all by herself. Wow, I feel like I'm a warrior now! Was Gingerkit's immature thoughts. I can wait one moon, I guess. continued Gingerkits thoughts. Then I can be a real apprentice, sleeping in the apprentices' den, away from my mother... She shook her head. Away from her mother? That was something she had to face. No apprentices slept with their mother. But what if badgers attack? Who will be with Stripedpelt? panicked Gingerkit. Suddenly, she was dismayed because of that.

¡°Ok then.¡± Stripedpelt turned back and was planning to go back to her peaceful sleep. ¡°Gingerkit, come here.¡± She said in her sweet voice. No reply. She knew something fishy was going on. ¡°Gingerkit!¡± she shouted. But only silence was there to answer her. She ran outside of the nursery. This wasn¡¯t good. She kept running around in circles, looking here to there. And she couldn¡¯t find her. Gingerkit, where are you?

"I'm here, mother!" yowled Gingerkit. She had never really expected Stripedpelt to notice she wasn't here at all. What will I say? were Gingerkit's thoughts as she padded nervously toward her mother. She hoped that Stripedpelt wouldn't be terribly mad at her. Changing her warm, yellow eyes into a cute kit's eyes, she raced to her mother. "I j-just came to p-play a l-little. I-i wasn't i-in any t-trouble at a-all!"stammered Gingerkit. This was the first time that Stripedpelt panicked so much. Sometimes, Gingerkit thought that her mother didn't care for her at all. Sometimes, she felt her mother's love deep in her heart. Trying not to stammer, she continuously meowed, "I'm sorry. I never meant to make you surprised, and you know that. I was just so bored, so I thought I could just play outside for a little while." She looked up, trying to look as cute as possible. Maybe I can get over this, thought Gingerkit.

She caught it. The expression on Gingerkit's face didn't work out as it's suppose to be. She read the kit's face completely. She knew that the kit wanted to get over this quickly. She understood her very much. Alone in the nursery with no kit to play with. "I understand my dear. " She guided Gingerkit with her tail to come to the nursery and not anywhere else.

Gingerkit bounced behind her mother, happy that she didn't get into any trouble. But she deserved it. No other kits were there. "Mother, why didn't you have more than one? You could've made me a sibling to play with." was Gingerkit's comment as she went back to the nursery, along with her mother. Why isn't she angry with me? thought Gingerkit, as she settled down on her nest. "Then I wouldn't be so bored." she added, trying to sleep. I'm going to sleep right after mother tells me the answer, thought Gingerkit. But that was too long for her. She just cuddled down, and decided to hear the answer when she woke up.

She was about to talk but she saw Gingerkit fall into a deep sleep. She wasn;t planning to answer anyways. Her heart was filled with scars as she saw ggingerkit with her yellow eyes. She felt sorry for Gingerkit and for the stillborn kit. She gave few licks to Gingerkit and she fell into a deep sleep too.
Opening her eyes she saw that is was time to get up and have a little stretch. ¡°Gin-¡° She cut off as she thought about Gingerkit waking up and asking her the question again. She knew that soon Gingerkit should know the truth.

Where am I? were Gingerkit's deep thoughts. She opened her eyes and stretched. She looked around, and finding that It was already the morning, she yawned and meowed to Stripedpelt, "Hello!" she was already feeling so good. She was taking one more day, getting closer to the day that she was going to be named an apprentice! She padded around the nursery in circles and finally remembered the questions that she had asked to her mother. "What are those answers? You know, the answers to the questions that I asked you yesterday." Her eyes shined. She hoped her mother would answer, even if it was the most terrible news on earth. "Please tell me!" Gingerkit begged, with patches of the morning dew on patches of her pelt.
