A small, narrow face easily compliments the male’s skinny and short body. Speckledpaw’s ears are large and erect, with somewhat pointed tips on his ears. The insides of his ears are a salmon colored pink, with small wisps of white and brown fur coming from the inside part of the ear bent neatly toward the outside of the ear. The backs of both his ears are a mixture of brown, gray, and white fur, and his forehead consists of mostly white and brown colored fur. A small diamond of white can be found between both ears, before more dark brown and gray fur make their way down the toms nose, which eventually blends in, and the thinnest part of the fur near his actual nose becomes a light brown. Speckledpaw’s nose is a very dark pink, lined thickly by a large, black border. The fur around his mouth is a very light tan, which eventually disappears as it moves outward into creamy white fur. His whiskers are very thin and very small, not easily seen from a distance. The fur under Speckledpaw’s ears is once again, a mixture of gray, tan and white, which is the majority of the topmost part of his head. The creamy white fur surrounds his eyes on the sides and on the top, and continues its way from his cheeks and his chin all the way down his chest.
Light green eyes are placed neatly on the face of Speckledpaw. They’re evenly situated, which make his face somehow look even narrower. They’re slightly almond shaped, but on the larger side. The apprentice’s eyes are beautifully colored, and are a light green, which compliment the lighter colors on the rest of his body. Unlike some cats’ eyes, Speckledpaw’s eyes don’t stand out at all. Although they do compliment some of the coloration of his pelt, they’re pretty much there to see, nothing to really stare at and wonder what’s going on under all the wild colors. Because they’re very light, they’re also easily readable. You can see right through the toms eyes and into what he’s feeling, which he hates, but can’t really stop. The actually color of the eyes is a green, with light brown and golden flecks finding their way in. The edges of his eyes are brown and a small pointed arrow-shape of fur can be seen at the outside edge of his right eye. On the inside of his left eye, there is a swirled golden-brown color, which can really only be seen from close up.
The apprentice’s whole front part of the body is covered mostly with cream colored fur. The tom’s shoulder is covered with a lovely mixture of different shades of brown, the darkest creating sort of a muddle tabby look. His chest and his underbelly are thickly covered with the dashing color, but his legs and paws are something different entirely. Although the creamy fur makes its way down the apprentice’s legs, large patches of differently colored fur fund themselves placed on his legs. On the male’s left leg, halfway down, there is a large patch of fur, starting out with a bold line of a dark colored brown, which then disappears into a very light gray, which then blends into another small dot of the dark brown color. On the very bottom of Speckledpaw’s right leg, there is another patch of fur on the left side, which is a much muted but still easily identifiable gray color. On the backs of both the legs, closest to where the paw is seen, there are identical dark brown and gray patches, both small, but both seeable if standing in the correct position. The apprentice’s front paws are based off the creamy colored fur seen on his front legs, but they have a light brown, somewhat tan tinge to them. His coloration is very interesting indeed.
Both sides and the back of Speckledpaw are filled with deep grays and browns and also many different shades of gray. The cream color can be seen sometimes when the darker colors give way, but other than that, the thick fur is found to have many different splotches of color. The fur isn’t in the usual tabby stripes. Different spots of color can be seen blending its way into the dark fur. The apprentice’s spine has a constant dark brown color running across the top of his back which ends abruptly at the base of his tail. The male’s tail is a mix of tabby stripes and random patches of color. The color that is seen the most is a dark brown, which seems to happily weave itself in between different colors, making very bold stripes. On other parts of his tail, the colors grow lighter and seem to have different speckles of color working their way into the fur. The tom loves the way his fur looks, and enjoys that it is different than that of an average tabby or solidly colored warrior.
With a small frame overall, Speckledpaw never looks forward to warrior training. He has large paws which create a clumsy sort of step for the tom, but he’s had dreams of being a warrior ever since he was a kit. The apprentice is built short to the ground with a medium length body. His tail is long which gives him good balance, but because his paws seem too big for his size, he still stumbles along at unease. Most say that the tom’s paws will allow him to grow larger in size, but the male has some doubts. He’s a fast runner, an okay hunter, but once again, a little clumsy when it comes to battle training. Because he’s well muscled, it does help, but because he’s built shorter to the ground, he seems to have to work harder than most of the other apprentices in FogClan. He tends to fare well even though he wishes he had longer legs and was a little farther from the ground when standing. Personality |
A quiet aura around the tom seems to make him somewhat less approachable than a very excited and talkative cat, but Speckledpaw just likes to listen rather than putting himself directly into a conversation. The apprentice has never really been a big talker among his fellow Clanmates, and he knows they don't really mind, I mean, in a Clan, they get all sorts of cats. He likes to be seen, and not heard. Sometimes. Because he's quiet, he doesn't seem to have very many friends, because he gets slightly uncomfortable when some outgoing cat tries to lure him into a conversation, and it comes to an awkward halt just because he's run out of things to say. Doing things alone and without help is also something that fuels this toms reluctance to speak. He enjoys time by himself where he can think without any distractions. He's not easily annoyed, but he does like free time spent by himself where he's not feeling the pressure that he needs to speak out. Maybe he'll learn, maybe he won't. The apprentice doesn't really think about the future, instead he likes to take things step-by-step.
With his quiet attitude, Speckledpaw also comes off as gentle. His soft green colored eyes mixed with his light colored pelt really issue no threat when you look at him. He tends to have a serious look about his face, but his eyes make up for it, shining brightly almost all of the time. When he speaks, his voice is quiet and low, louder than a hushed whisper, but somewhat like it. He walks quietly, not stomping around like some cats, and his slightly chilled and laid back attitude can really make him seem approachable, but them again, at the same time, his unwillingness to speak can really detract the amount of friends he has. The male likes to play with the kits, and because he's not a rough tom, it also helps him to allow others see that he's not some odd tom who hates to talk to anyone because he's always mad. He just likes to stay quiet.
Although the apprentice is quiet and gentle, he can't help but be curious. What apprentice wouldn't be curious of the territory and of other cats? The tom enjoys to get out and about, finding all he can find, all the while being alone. He doesn't mind the company of others when he's out exploring, but he also enjoys spending time alone in the territory, giving him more time to think. He loves the dull sounds in the forest, and loves to climb up trees, over logs, and just loves to get out there and see the territory. A strong believer of the Warrior Code has allowed the tom to just stay in his own territory. He doesn't really mind, but he does have his inner curiosities where he wonders what the other territories are like. He likes a good story when the tellers are up for it..
He needs a little help with his warrior training. The tom is harmless, and wouldn't hurt a fly if he didn't have to. He loves battle training, but when it comes to actually hurting a cat, he's quite unsure of whether or not he has the guts to do it. He doesn't like getting hurt, other cats don't like getting hurt, and he just doesn't like the fact of hurting a cat. He knows that when a battle comes, the adrenaline rush that comes with it will probably tackle a lot of that fear of hurting another cat, but right now, not knowing what it feels like to be in a battle, confuses him. He knows he'll need to take on cats in order to protect his Clan, but the question is, will he really be able to do it? He's not the best fighter, either, which also helps his doubts on his ability to hurt other cats. He has no problem with hunting, because he knows that there is much prey in his territory, and it won't hurt just killing a few, and they rely on prey to keep them strong. He just doesn't get why cats fight each other. He'll learn as time goes on, though.
Skills |
Hunting is probably the toms best skill. He steps lightly on the ground, and is not heard very easily by the prey. The tom loves to hunt because he knows it brings wellness and good health into the Clan. He doesn't really feel the urge to eat while on a hunting patrol, but he likes that he doesn't ever feel the need to break the Warrior Code. His quiet nature allows him to really keep his senses on high alert while hunting, and he finds it easy to keep focused.
The tom's a fast runner in his own land, but he has a tough time getting over fallen logs and trees that seem to be everywhere in his territory. Because he's built short to the ground, he's more of a sprinter for a small amount of time than a long distance runner. His legs are quite long though, so he can carry himself well while running. He doesn't quite enjoy the obstacles that are woven through the forest, but he ignores them and gets over them as well as he possibly can.
His ability to listen can get him places. He loves to listen to anything and any cat. Even if it's the most talkative cat, the can always find something good to a story or to a conversation. He tends to learn a lot about certain cats just by what they say in a conversation. Listening can get him into both good and bad situations, but whether or not a cat gets mad at his...eavesdropping, as some say, he still does it frequently.
History |
Speckledkit was born to parents who were deeply in love, and seemed to love each other more than they really loved their kits. They were just...so obsessive over one-another, like every day had been a year gone by that they hadn't seen each other, whereas it had just been a night. So deeply in love that they felt they were ready to become parents, even just after becoming warriors. They were told it was a stupid thing to do, becoming a mother so young, but she went ahead and gave birth to two kits anyway. So, we begin.
Speckledkit was born to a mother, a too young, kind she-cat. She was strongly dedicated to her mate.
