THIS IS INCOMPLETE.
Name |Mudkit Mudpaw Mudheart
Gender | Tom
Age | 8 moons
RankKit Medicine Cat Apprentice Medicine Cat
Beliefs Mudpaw has a zest for Starclan that rivals his devotion to Streamclan. He believes he owes all he has in life to the great warriors, including his surviving despite his disability. He is eternally grateful to them for keeping him alive when all his other siblings were stillborn. He feels that he was destined to be alive, due to all the odds he overcame by simply being born and living; and that in turn he is destined to serve Starclan with the very life he believes they gave him.
Clan | Streamclan
Parents | Stripeflower (mother, rogue turned clan cat), Unknown (Father, assumed rogue)
Siblings | Mudpaw had two other siblings at birth, one she-cat and one other tom, but they were both stillborn.
Other Kin |
Mate | Forbidden
Crush | Forbidden
Kits | Forbidden
Apprentice/Mentor | Badgernose
Appearance | (I've based the movements and abilities off of a three-legged cat I personally know, so this is accurate. xP)
Mudpaw is a nobly built cat, being of a medium-to-large size, with a fluffy coat to make him appear even larger. His patterning is that of a Brown Mackerel Tabby, with red-brown patches and hues blending together as a base, crowned with thin, mostly straight black striping all along the body, forming rings along the tail and the bottom of the legs. He has no white on him, save for a patch covering his chin. His tail is somewhat long for his body, and is often active in the pursuit of balance. Mudpaw's eyes are a lovely shade of pond green, accentuated by a sensitive, open-looking face and long, delicate whiskers.
If one were to first spot him sitting or lying down, he would appear to be a normal cat, with the way he carries himself and acts. However, as soon as he gets up to walk his disability becomes evident.
Mudpaw is aptly named, as he only has three legs with which to walk- the other has been missing since birth, not even leaving a stub to suggest it had ever planned to be there. The spot where it should be is furred as the rest of his body, creating a smooth look, as if missing a leg were perfectly natural.
Mudpaw has compensated for this disability in his movement by padding regularily with his front legs, then following with a large hop with his lone right back leg. Surprisingly, he can still be quite fast when the need arises, able to lollop along quickly enough to escape, say, the pursuit of a human- however, he is by no means as fast as a cat with four legs.
He is capable of jumping up onto things like any regular cat, and can climb (to a degree), and even hunt and somewhat defend himself. However, he stands no match against most four-legged cats with moderate fighting skills. He looses his balance too easily to ever make a good warrior, and would have retired straight to the Elder's den from apprenticehood if he had not been selected Medicine Cat Apprentice.
As stated, though three paw has excellent balance for a cat with three legs, he can still loose it quite easily if he is caught off guard or pushed. He makes do with what he has quite well, but trips up far more often than regular cats.
Personality | Mudpaw is a sickeningly cheerful creature, despite his debilitating weakness. He just overflows with sunshine and happiness, and always has a positive thing to say about anyone or any situation. He has a way with his words that can get others thinking positive too- Mudpaw seems to be able to get on the good side of even the grumpiest of elders. The tom is always ready to lend an ear to any problem, and listens without judging or getting bored, ready to provide sympathy when needed.
He is a highly physically affectionate tom, always rubbing up against everyone, cuddling, and purring. This can be somewhat daunting to cats who aren't very touchy-feely.
He doesn't let his missing leg get in the way of being friendly or kind- even if cats tease him for it, he just puts on a brave front and jokes along with them. He really doesn't begrudge anyone their four legs, because he views his missing leg as an asset, not a weakness.
He feels he has no leg because he was destined to be a medicine cat instead of a warrior. He is grateful to simply be alive, as his other two siblings were stillborn. Mudpaw thinks of himself as a very lucky cat.
He is a very pure-hearted soul, breaking the rules of the Medicine Cat hasn't even occurred to him as of yet. It's simply unfathomable. However, Mudpaw's kindness does not only apply to his own clan- he would help a cat in need without hesitation, regardless of their allegiance, Riverclan or not, Clan cat or not. He'd even help a cat who tried to kill him not too long ago, his kind-heartedness simply knows know bounds- and his innocence.
Mudpaw believes there is goodness in every single cat, and often emphatically attempts to prove this of much-disliked cats. No matter how many times he is hurt, his steadfast trust in kittykind will not break.
Skills | Mudpaw has a sharp memory, which assists him in remembering all the herbs and what they are used for. He is a keener for detail, and can tell little differences between plants with ease, once he knows what to look for. He has an excellent sense of smell, which aids him in searching out hard-to-find herbs. In addition to his easy keeping of rigid facts, Mudpaw is also quite excellent at experimenting across plant uses. He is capable of drawing connections between different plants and their effects on cats, and will often mix herbs in new and interesting ways- some which prove useful, some which bomb horribly. He always tests everything on himself first, so as not to inflict harm upon other cats, and he only tests within the limits of safety (eg. he will not eat yarrow if he does not need to throw up).
