I'm gonna be the man who gets drunk next to you| Curlew-whisker believes in Fate, not StarClan. How can there be beings that can control something as wild and untamed as fate? It's simply not possible. Fate is a being onto itself, something unfathomable...it can be good and it can be bad. It can be simple and complex. However, despite his belief in Fate, he does not hold it as his StarClan. StarClan and fFate are too different to be accepted in substitution of each other.
Fate is not something that can be worshiped or prayed to. You cannot be sent dreams by fate. Fate simply is. It is everything and nothing, an abstract idea entwined with the concrete wholeness of life. Moreover, it does not ask anything of anyone or show favor as StarClan has so often been said to do. Fate treats all with equality. It is merely what people make of what fate has given them that leads them to believe it is cruel.
The fact remains though, that unlike the nonexistent StarClan, Fate cannot be cruel. But neither can it be kind. It simply is and simply does.
