This is an open thread for Owlstar, much like the one for Mistpelt. I guess the rules are the same for posting here. xD

She blinked and suddenly it felt like she had not seen her clan in such a long time. The comforting sights of apprentices playing and warrior chatting sent a wave of nostalgia rushing through her, and as Owlstar took a firm seat under the high rock, she nodded. Despite the season and despite the alarming lack of rain, things seemed to be going well. Cats weren't starving yet and were strong enough to travel to the thankfully unfrozen river. They were also happy to aid the elders and queens by bringing back water-soaked moss, a fact that warmed her fur despite the chilly wind.

Owlstar's tail twitched slightly in the dry grass she sat in. She felt eager to speak to her clanmates, to go from group to group and catch up on the latest news that was jumping from cat to cat. Maybe she would take Firepaw out for a hunt, just the two of them. It had been quite awhile since she had gone training with the orange apprentice. That was her fault, of course, for focusing too much on PineClan. She had neglected the young soul that needed her the most. Besides, PineClan didn't seem to want to post a threat.

The wind blew a thick cloud over the sun, dousing the clan in shadow. Her eyes narrowed up at the sky, debating whether that should be taken as a sign, or just something that happened naturally. Nature, she hoped, was the cause. A sign like that would never mean something good. The cloud provided a cover for her thick black and white fur, at least. Another thing to be grateful for, as, despite the chilly wind, she was feeling rather warm under all that fur and skin.
