Honestly, don't read this if you don't want to feel depressed. The ending is made out of crack =/ It's like a book plot gone wrong.
Basically, I knew a guy who knew a guy. I probably spoke to this second guy once or twice... but yeah, this guy owned a forum. This forum was absolutely massive, you're talking 10 thousand members. He was incredibly popular online, and he fell in love with this girl, who came to be a mod. I didn't watch the relationship blossom, but I know that they both ended up meeting up... and living together. They got engaged and lived happily for one year, continuing to run this forum together.
But things from here on got rather... well, it's a one in a million story.
The girl was incredibly popular on this forum... and another guy (guy 2) fell in love with her. He became obsessive, but she was in love with guy 1. Since both these guys had known eachother for years, Guy 1 told him to back off, because he was becoming stalkerish.
But long story short, eventually this stalker took things further. He found out where Guy 1 and Girl lived, and then flew over from Germany to find them. He picked a day when the Girl was out at work, and then knocked on the door. Since the guys were friends, Guy 1 let him in. No one knows what was talked about... but the conversation ended with Guy 2 stabbing him alot of times. Guy 1 died.
There are some even more chilling details, but I'll spare you them. Since my friend was this guys best friend, I knew about proceedings as it happened =/ I can swear to you it's true, and will dig up articles for those who wants them. Names haven't been given because this case is googled for a fair bit and I don't want FoF to come up.
