I LEAVE MY GRILLED CHEESE FOR ONE FREAKIN MINUTE AND IT BURNS TO A CRISP GAWD AM I EVER HUNGRY.
.... Anyway, on to the purpose of making this thread XD
Anyone here a Gorillaz fan? If so, I'm starting this to talk about phase three. Or we could just talk about them in general if you don't stalk them like I do but listen to them XD I am aware that the band members aren't real but I don't care I love them anyway :3
And for those that are interested but don't know who Gorillaz are, they are a virtual/fictional band created by Damon Albarn(lead singer of Blur) and Jamie Hewlett(creator of the Tank Girl comics). The virtual band consists of lead singer 2D, drummer Russel Hobbs, bassist Murdoc Niccals and guitarist Noodle. They're all fictional btw. Go now my children! Go to youtube and look them up! Oh. Btw, the music isn't exactly G-rated, so don't bring Gorillaz stuff here, guys XD Most of the pictures are good, though some should be avoided. You have been warned.
So far they have two studio albums(Gorillaz and Demon Days) out and two compilation albums(G-Sides and D-Sides). They also have two DVD's, two interview CD's, and an autobiography(which I have zomg I love it so much). They are currently working on another studio album that will be released in 2010. They have three demos on youtube(Electric Shock, Broken, Stylo/Binge) that are from the new album, which is what I wanted to talk about.
If you've listened to all the songs in the links above, you'll know what I'm talking about. I like them all, and Electric Shock is my favourite. Judging by those demos, this will be one hell of an album, and definitely worth the wait. Gorillaz are developing and evolving, and I'll approach it with an open mind. Sure consistency is great, but if all of a bands music sounds the same it gets a little old after a while, so a change of sound is pretty adequate. And it's Gorillaz so I'm obviously going to love it, since I'm a loyal fan whether they completely change the sound or not. Gorillaz will always amaze me.
So enough about me, what about you guys?
