Yeah, you knew this was coming. But I didn't read all of it. /lazy
"And in the end, will the non-belief of PineClan tear the forest apart from the very roots that hold it?" -- Bah, look. You ended your plot with a yes or no question. -mr. angry eyes- /Pixar reference
So how is non-belief supposed to tear anything apart?
-skims entire plot-
"With the formation of the new clans," -- Wait, what?
"PineClan does not believe in StarClan." -- Why not?

It's okay Ten, I was actually waiting for you. =D
"So how is non-belief supposed to tear anything apart?"
x---x
With three cats that believe in StarClan, and one that doesn't, there's bound to be conflict. FogClan especially has a strong belief in StarClan and a strong dislike for PineClan for not believing in StarClan. These cats are bound to try something to convert (or maybe even destroy) PineClan.
"Wait, what?"
x---x
ForestClan lost their morals, the deputy didn't like it so he gathered up any followers and traveled away from ForestClan. The clans we're role play are the clans they formed.
"Why not?"
x---x
Well, most of these cats were rogues at one point. And rogues tend not to have a belief in StarClan, do they? So when the new clans were forming, a few of the cats revealed that they didn't believe in "StarClan" and tried to get into a clan with other cats that did not believe.

"What do you mean?"

When the new leader took over ForestClan, he was an ambitious kitty. Wanted control of all the clans. So he used his position as leader to make the life of a Medicine Cat seem dishonorable, or a disgrace. Tried to make it so every cat only became a warrior, so they would have a chance at deputy, and even leader to help keep his clan full of a fighting force.
"Why would rogues be joining a Clan?"
x---x
Well, the cats who left ForestClan had plans on making new clans. So when they found a new place to live, they began to talk to all the feral cats in the area, some of the rogues/loners like the idea of being in a group, and gave the clans a chance.

"So why weren't they in a group beforehand?"

Reading through most of the bios, the common thing is that the cat was a rogue who traveled with their family. So they were in a group there. I should've said the idea of being in a clan appealed. With the loyalty that goes not non-kin, the respect for being leader, etc. Maybe the idea of StarClan appealed to the cats as well. Having something to form under and always known is watching. PineClan cats didn't find appeal in StarClan, though.
