Beliefs:
Like a typical cat of her Clan, Snakefang has a strong belief in StarClan. It logically makes sense to her. How can leaders be able to die and rise again in a new life unless StarClan is real? To her, StarClan are to be respected because of their ages of experience, but when it comes to her own life, she is in command. She won't bend over backwards for StarClan and believes that she creates her own fate. Snakefang believes in StarClan and respects them, but gives them no more than that.

Appearance:
Snakefang is a sleek silver tabby she-cat. Her coat is a very dark shade of silver, almost black in color. It looks like the dark smoke you would see coming off of a very big fire. Outlined on her silver coat is a bold black pattern like smoke. The black traces her body in almost random, wispy lines, dark enough to be seen but not completely covering her silver fur. It traces black circles down her legs and darkens to complete black on her tail. The black pattern of her coat flows like the river that her Clan lives near. Her sleekness is typical of a StreamClan cat, born of the fish they eat. Her short fur is ideal for new-leaf and green-leaf, but in the winter it is a deep disadvantage. Snakefang's paws are wide, aiding her in swimming well. She is averagely muscled, more sleek and agile than muscular and strong. Her sleek, light body allows her to move quickly and freely.
Snakefang's eyes are a light green. Very prominent against her black silver tabby coat, they are almost always the first thing a cat notices about her. These eyes can either be as gentle as a quiet stream or as fierce as a roaring waterfall. Her tail is long, giving her excellent balance, and providing extra support when she's swimming. Because of all the swimming Snakefang does, her coat is always clean and bright. She doesn't ever groom it, as the river does that work for her.
Personality:
Snakefang is a bit less easygoing than the rest of her Clan. She'll be one of the first ones to flame up at something, such as an insult to her or her Clan. Despite this, she is usually level minded and, above all, logical. Snakefang looks at everything logically. It's how she looks at StarClan and how she looks at the forest. Logic is the right way, and all other ways tend to be unreasonable. Because of this, she is extremely fair and just. When it comes to conflict resolution, she looks at the situation with no bias and makes a logical decision. Because of her logical temperament, cats know they can come and talk to her about their problems and receive an unbiased answer in return. Cats often do ask her opinion, especially her friends. Snakefang is generally friendly with every cat in her Clan, as they are, in turn, very friendly with her. She sees them as her family, and enjoys talking and living with them.
Snakefang loves the river. She grew up by one and had mastered swimming and fishing when she heard about the Clans. It was obvious that the one Clan she could join would be StreamClan, just for the river. Though not as easygoing as her Clanmates, the fact that she could live by a river with other cats sealed the deal for her. Snakefang is loyal to her Clan, as they have given her a home by the river, but she isn't crazy about being a Clan warrior, or following StarClan's code. The only reason she follows the warrior code is because it makes sense, not because StarClan decrees it should be so. FogClan cats are just crazy, and PineClan cats are in denial. She would never be able to live in either of those Clans, as their personalities and opinions clash with hers greatly.
Because of her logical mindedness, Snakefang sometimes can't stand the presence of other cats. Their prejudices and opinions annoy her. This is not to say that Snakefang doesn't have opinions are even prejudices of her own, as she does, but she hates the unreasonableness of some of these cats. If there's one thing Snakefang can't stand it's cats doing things for no reason, or because they're being peer pressured to do it. With those cats that are heavily opinionated without any reason besides "just because", Snakefang is short tempered and talks to them rather coldly. She rather arrogantly believes her way is above theirs. While this does go against her code of acceptance and fairness, Snakefang is not perfect, and doesn't follow her code as stringently when it comes to these other cats.
If Snakefang was ever to mentor an apprentice, she would seek to teach them her way of thinking, giving them knowledge to blot out their ignorance. If Snakefang was ever to fight in an unreasonable battle, she would fight half-heartedly. The only reason she would be fighting at all would be because it's her duty to fight for StreamClan. Snakefang doesn't enjoy fighting, even if it's for a fair cause. She wishes, like a true StreamClanner, that cats would just take it easy and go with the peaceful flow, like the river. Even though she herself is not truly easygoing, it's logically a better idea to go with the flow than against it, which causes conflict and disrupts the peace. If Snakefang was ever to fall in love, it would be with a logical tom who thinks like her, and would understand her mindset.
Skills:
Snakefang is a skilled fisher and hunter. She knows how to use her claws and teeth to their greatest efficiency. Because of her light build, she can move quickly, striking like a snake with deadly teeth and claws. In fishing, her speed makes her nearly unrivaled. Her hunting is stealthy but quick. She carefully stalks her prey and strikes with swift accuracy. She received the suffix Fang because of how she fishes. She'll wait for just the right moment, and then strike with her claws, flinging the fish towards her. She catches the fish in her mouth and ends its life with a quick bite. When in battle, she tends to strike with her teeth first, rather like a snake does when defending herself.
Her weakness, however, is her sole reliance on speed. Speed doesn't win everything; one always needs some strength backing it up. If a cat were to get around her speedy jabs, she would be taken down easily. Her weakness is in her fighting; her strength is in her hunting.
History:
Snakefang was born as a loner to her mother Fyre and her father Adder. Her brother Wolf was born shortly after her. They were born someplace far away from the Clans, near a beautiful river. From the start Snakefang, or Snake as she was known at the time, loved the river. Her mother taught her how to hunt and fish for her food. Her dad was a bit awkward and quiet around his kits, not sure how to act, but as Snake grew older Adder taught her the basics of fighting. Snake was very close to her brother Wolf, as they lived and trained together all the time as all littermates do. Her logic developed as a survival skill; it was her way of evaluating a situation and deciding the best way to handle it.
Her family was a family of loners that wandered the land. Adder and Fyre had met on their journeys and had decided to become companions, which then became something more. When Fyre found that she was carrying kits she and Adder looked for a good place to raise their kits and decided on a river. By the time Fyre had given birth she and Adder had learned to fish and swim, and were in love with the water. Snake and Wolf inherited their love of swimming from their parents. From that time onward, the family wandered along the river, which eventually brought them to Clan territory. Snake was twelve moons at that time, and fully grown. The family unit was as close as ever, when disaster struck.
It was a very rainy green-leaf. After a particularly heavy rain, the river flooded, and caught the family unawares. Being skilled swimmers they managed to avoid the worst of it, all except for Fyre. She was separated from the fleeing family group. A couple days later, when the water had receded, the family found Fyre dead. The family was, of course, overcome by grief, but a moon later they had all moved on with their lives. They settled by the river, though, not wanting to leave the spot where Fyre had died. Soon Wolf met another wandering she-cat, Robin. They became mates, and then had a son, Crowcall. Wolf wished to leave the memory of his mother's death behind and enter a new chapter of his life, so bade goodbye to his family and wandered away, leaving Snake with her father.
Snake discovered the existence of the Clans and longed to join one. She eventually expressed her desire to join a Clan to her father. Adder reacted positively, stating that it was probably time for her to lead her own life, and for him to continue on with his. He left soon after, and Snake joined StreamClan so she could be by the river always. Snake joined and learned the ways of the Clan for a moon before receiving her official warrior name of Snakefang. Now she has settled into her new life and is happy with what she has and what will come for her in the future as a Clan cat.
