((I am going to read this in the morning and weep. I just know it. Ah well, it seemed like a good idea at the time?
The promise:
Pure tiredness (3-5am)
No editing
Fun))
Frostpaw sat in clan camp. She felt strangely warm today, even though it was winter, and her eyes wouldn't keep open. She noticed Finchpaw on the other side of the clearing and waved with her paw innocently. When the cat frowned at her, she realised it wasn't Finchpaw but Rowanheart. Frostpaw, watching the picture of manliness stride around in the sun, tried to summon anger towards her old mentor, but whatever she did, she couldn't. He was just too damn attractive. He was like Finchpaw only... strong and stable and wise and stuff like that.
So she strode over to him and purred, rolling onto her back while staring up at him.
"Why do we fight, Rowanheart? Are we not just 2 insane kitties who are too stubborn for their own good?"
Whiskers, being online at only around 11pm her time, was fully concious and had more than a few braincells left. She briefly contemplated whether Rolo was drunk, before realising she was just a little too tired. In the spirit of good humor, she replied with an In character Rowanheart. Rowanheart is confused, very confused and replies that they fight because they hate the stuffing out of one another.
"Oh, we do? I never felt angry with you, Rowanheart." Frostpaw pouted sadly, "I promise, I didn't. I'm your apprentice. How could I hate my mentor? A fire has always burnt for you in my belly, but it is the FIRES OF PASSION not the fire of fury." She declared loudly, "I also have a little fire of the Dark forest, but you, with your pure and... amazing ways will soon put those out, won't you?" She winked.
Rolo submitted her reply, believing in her half-awake state that this post was by far the best thing she'd ever written. Whiskers clicked open the reply and completely passed out.
Rolo waited so long for the next reply, she fell asleep and dreamt of strange things like Jammy Dodgers and whales.
The End
Or was it?
Rowanheart and Frostpaw got so fed up with waiting for their owners to reply that they decided to make the moves themselves. Frostpaw, feeling very intensely confused over who she actually was, fought against her feelings for another 3 A4 pages of dialogue, before realising that Rolo's tiredness had expressed Frostpaw's subconcious. She was indeed enamoured with Rowanheart and they, after a polite discussion about faith and politics, fell into eachother's paws.
They had a lot of fun.
By the end of the night (or, more accurately in Rololand, midday because she'd stayed up so late) they had had 3 kits, called Frostpawpaw (Frostpaw is a brand now), Finchpaw2 (because Finchpaw was tainted by faithlessness, duh!) and Mophead.
They were called away from their secret life when Rolo awoke the next day. Making up for her idiocy the night before, she deleted all evidence of the insanity and RowanxFrost became an obsolete pairing. Both cats wept in their dens for the love of their lives, but not too hard...
Because not even an author knows what their characters are doing off-screen ;P.
